How to Do the Dancer Pose:

L’Idylle 11.50 est un voilier proposé par le chantier Bénéteau, au milieu des années 80. Ce véritable bateau de croisière possède beaucoup plus de caractère que ce que pourrait laisser penser son look mi-nordique mi-fifty. Retour sur un voilier qui pourrait bien vous surprendre. Dans les années 80, le chantier Bénéteau est en plein essor. Arrivé bien après les grands noms de la plaisance comme Mallard, Jouët ou encore le chantier Quere, André Bénéteau a réussi à transformer son chantier naval pour en faire un leader de la plaisance. Les pêche-promenades à voile ou à moteur sont encore au catalogue, mais la gamme First connaît un succès impressionnant. Si le First 30, dessiné par André Mauric datait un peu, du pont de vue de ses formes, les First 25, First 29 ou First 32 sont signés par des pointures du moment, comme Jean Berret ou Jean Marie Finot, et sont résolument modernes. Ces voiliers vont propulser le chantier dans la cour des grands. En 1983, Bénéteau renouvelle sa gamme First en la modernisant. En parallèle, le chantier lance sa gamme de voiliers à salon de pont, dans l’esprit fifty, les Evasions, et se lance dans la monotypie, avec, entre autres le First Class8. Mais c’est la gamme Idylle qui va surprendre. En effet, les premiers voiliers Idylle ont du mal à se situer, entre fifty et voiliers de croisières modernes. En fait, la gamme est née d’un travail avec la société de location Moorings. La gamme était destinée, à l’origine au charter. Surprenant pour des voiliers qui proposent beaucoup de confort et de volume dans peu de cabines, plutôt orientées « propriétaire ». Pour autant, la gamme propose d’excellents voiliers, que de nombreux propriétaires vont choisir pour naviguer loin, confortablement, tout en procurant un certain plaisir sous voile. Parmi ces voiliers, l’Idylle 11.50 est sans doute est des meilleurs croiseurs de la gamme. Ce bateau, dessiné par Jean Berret, sera produit à plus de 250 exemplaires entre 1983 et 1988.

Idylle 11.50, une carène sportive pour un bon croiseur

Photo Bénéteau "Une carène sportive", voilà un titre qui peut surprendre. En effet, quand on regarde l'Idylle 11.50, sur l’eau, on pense plutôt au voilier pépère qu’au sportif. Et ce n’est pas vraiment faux, mais pourtant. En fait, à l’époque, le chantier Bénéteau va utiliser une carène déjà bien éprouvée pour sortir l’Idylle 11.50. Il s’agit du First 35. Notre croiseur va donc reprendre la carène d'un voilier sportif, avec quelques centimètres de plus pour allonger la jupe arrière. Le bilan est très honnête. Bien évidemment, l’Idylle 11.50 est plus lourd que le First 35 et propose plus de fardage que ce dernier. Cependant, ce croiseur confortable est un très bon marcheur. Le bateau est marin et n’a pas peur du mauvais temps. Quand le vent se fait plus rare, le skipper pourra profiter d’une bonne motorisation pour faire route (50 cheveaux). Ça peut servir.

Photo Bénéteau Le cockpit est confortable et plutôt vaste. L’équipage est bien abrité derrière le coupe-vent en pare-brise, à l’image des voiliers nordiques. Et pour le coup, il ne manque rien à ce voilier confortable pour répondre parfaitement à cette mission. Avant de rentrer à l’intérieur du bateau, trois choses marquent le visiteur : - 3 coffres dans le cockpit pour un maximum de rangement - Un plan de pont sécurisant et bien pensé - Un rouf long pour maximiser les volumes des cabines A l’intérieur, le bateau propose un espace pensé pour 4 personnes. 2 cabines doubles volumineuses permettront à chacun de trouver sa place et son intimité. C’était d’ailleurs l’objectif du chantier. Proposer un voilier ou 4 personnes pourront ranger leurs affaires sans aucun souci et vivre sans se marcher dessus. Au pied de la descente, la table à cartes fait face au coin cuisine. Le carré est très spacieux, confortable et aéré. Enfin, la cabine arrière est très spacieuse. Elle prend plus de la moitié de la largeur. La salle d’eau se trouve, elle aussi à l’arrière.
