Remember y’all, Median Systems are valid. When people say all systems are valid, they’re usually talking about endogenic systems. While yes, that’s true of course, I don’t know where to place Median Systems at along the spectrum. We’re not plural per se nor endogenic. We’re stuck in the middle. Our parts or facets are us and we’re them. We’re a breed of our own. I wish there would be more info out there about us. Endogenics please don’t forget your cousins so to speak hehe. 😄😅

this term is used in the same way one would use “median” or “multiple,” as in a mustērian system.

the name mustērian comes from the greek root mustērion, with the o changed to an a to fit the parasian / mesosian / diversian scheme. mustērian can be considered a subset of median.

i'm a questioning? monoconscious?? 'system'??? i'm really not sure.. am i allowed to call myself a system if there's only like 2 of us, and we're very similar? we're pretty much the same person with slight differences in behavior, interests, and appearance, but our thoughts and emotions are the same. i hope that makes sense? i feel like we're not allowed to use any system terminology because there's only two of us, and we're not separate enough to be "different people".. we've just been using 'plural' because i'm really not sure what else to call this.

plurality is a broad term that means any experience of not being singular, so yes, you can call yourself plural if that makes you comfortable. and if you want to call yourself a system as well, you can; it just means being more than one in the same body or being one that is many (e.g. many parts, but that can also mean just 2 parts)

you might want to look into median systems (link), they're still systems but they're not distinct between headmates/facets

Do any monoconscious systems have any tips on switching intentionally? We're collectively a frontstuck monocon median subsystem, for reference, but we have no control over switches between ourselves. engaging in typical positive front triggers only seems to work ~15% of the time, which isn't exactly reliable. We thought we were fine not being able to direct the flow, but it's becoming a problem for some of us. if anyone that experiences monoconscious plurality has any ideas, resources, tips/tricks, etc, it'd be deeply appreciated

I call my parts/facets, 'personas'. My therapist said that's actually normal. She is even okay with me saying 'we' sometimes, too. She is okay with me naming them, too. If it is normal, why don't people talk about it more? Why don't people explore different parts of themselves more? It's perfectly fine to be Median, folks. Encourage it. Embrace it. I know it's hard sometimes to let certain parts have a voice, but we all should. They're all us. She also mentioned Internal Family Systems.
