Nothing to take away from Claudio Moneta, he's great, major part of my childhood and had previous experience voice acting some Dragon Ball characters, but if they really had to replace Goku's Italian va, Gohan's teenage va was the better fit, while watching today Gohan's voice sounded so much like Goku it was impressive, Claudio Moneta doesn't really fit Goku's voice, which was one of the biggest complains I had while watching Super, like yeah they couldn't do much since his original va died, but I think there could have been better choices

Shadow and Knuckles (Italian voices)

As I previously said, forget Shadow's soft, almost shy voice. Italian VA choose to show Shadow's emotions instead, making him sound bold and no-nonsense. When Shadow is not in bad mod (rarely) he sounds cute. When he is in bad mood, you think: 'Better leave him alone or at least avoid to talk to him!'. He sounded happy when he found the chaos emerald, desperate when he lost the emerald or when he was trapped in the void, cheerful when he stole Sonic's inibitors, annoyed when he admitted his defeat and him having to work with Sonic. overall he sounds in bad mood. Well, is Shadow we are talking about he is supposed to be in bad mood, at least 90% of the time.

I have mixed feeling. I absolutely love Shadow's soothing voice and I miss it in Italian. I want to hear him saying something soft spokenly in my language. At the same time I think Claudio Moneta's voice suits him, I see nothing wrong.

For Knuckles... well... I just love his Italian voice. Now think how Dread's voice sounds and apply it to all Knuckles. Is something like that. Of course Knuckles, Renegade and Gnarly never say 'Ahrrr', they're not pirates. But all Knuckles are dubbed with this deep, hoarse voice that I love on him.

Rising Star: Wedding Kollektiv

Il Wedding Kollektiv è un progetto musicale nato nel 2017 da un’idea di Alessandro Denni che, dopo un lungo periodo di inattività, decide di iniziare a comporre nuovi pezzi inediti e di sottoporli ai suoi più fidati collaboratori (Tiziana Lo Conte, Claudio Moneta, Inke Kueh). Inizia quindi un lavoro che porterà alla pubblicazione nel 2021 di Brodo, esordio discografico del collettivo che oggi si muove tra Roma, Berlino e Torino. 

Il progetto non perde tempo e si mette subito al lavoro per realizzare questo nuovo disco intitolato Il Wedding Kollektiv & female friends play SOUP, che contiene una serie di remix estratti dall’esordio e vede la collaborazione di diverse musiciste parecchie apprezzate dal collettivo. Ne viene fuori una serie di brani surreali e intriganti, che miscelano elettronica e pop generando una miscela semplice ma straordinariamente esplosiva. Tra i brani migliori troviamo sicuramente “L’astronomo”, un’invettiva elettropop che funziona al primo ascolto. Tra quelli più sperimentali risaltano parecchio “A proposito del tuo candore” e “Ipersfera relazionale”, due viaggi tra musica e parole che portano ai confini dell’assurdo. Nel disco è presente l’inedito strumentale “Piccola suite per lavare i pavimenti”, altro brano decisamente folle che chiude idealmente un lavoro già abbastanza estroverso. 

Sopra le righe, moderno, eccentrico. Il Wedding Kollektiv è sicuramente uno dei progetti più curiosi degli ultimi due anni. Il loro è un pop elettronico di confine che si muove tra l’avanguardia e un’estetica new wave di stampo anni ’80, ma incredibilmente radicato nell’attualità. Un ascolto decisamente consigliato a priori. 

Il Wedding Kollektiv si forma su idea di Alessandro Denni (autore, arrangiatore, produttore nei dischi di GRONGE, SONA, GOAH e in altri progetti). Alessandro dopo aver scritto una ventina di canzoni tra il 2017 e il 2018 le propone a Tiziana Lo Conte (voce inconfondibile in GRONGE, GOAH e attualmente ROSELUXX), Claudio Moneta (chitarrista, compositore in GOAH, ROSELUXX e in altri progetti), Inke Küll (violinista, sassofonista, pittrice, performer berlinese, anche lei per molti anni nei GRONGE). Tra tutti i pezzi ne vengono scelti cinque che fanno parte del primo lavoro del Kollektiv, si intitola BRODO ed e´ un mini Lp 33 giri stampato in edizione limitata in vinile e distribuito sulle principali piattaforme di streaming digitale. Ai quattro durante le registrazioni del disco (prodotto da neontoaster multimedia dept.) si aggiungono musicisti e musiciste del circuito indipendente rock e impro romano che arricchiscono la tavolozza sonora del lavoro, gia´ molto articolata in fase compositiva. Vuoi una tromba jazz? In BRODO c’è. Vuoi un violoncello classico? BRODO lo ha. Una batteria new wave? BRODO ha anche quella. Le parole delle canzoni vengono affidate a JLF, giovane scrittrice, autrice di testi intimi, violenti, crudi. Della grafica del lavoro si occupa Gianluca Cannizzo (Aka MyPosterSucks), grafico torinese, autore di poster, magliette, oggetti, disegnatore dal tratto inconfondibile, tra i piu´ ricercati attualmente nel panorama italiano.

Il Wedding Kollektiv & Andrea Frittella - 2084

Ehi.

Ci abbiamo messo un bel po' a trovare il tempo di scrivere questo post. Non perché si sia chissà che profondi e, quindi, non troverete nulla di particolarmente bello da leggere. Il fatto è che il nuovo lavoro de Il Wedding Kollektiv insieme ad Andrea Frittella è talmente particolare ed intrigante, anche se breve nel minutaggio, da richiedere tempo e ancora tempo per farlo proprio.

Il disco, che in realtà è un complesso prodotto artistico a tutto tondo, si intitola "2084" ed è composto, nella parte musicale, da quattro pezzi. Il resto dell'opera è un prezioso packaging ed un fumetto il tutto realizzato da Andrea Frittella.

Ricordiamo che dietro Il Wedding Kollektiv abbiamo il compositore e musicista Alessandro Denni, che già con "Brodo" aveva dato prova dell'enorme creatività del suo kollettivo, che riunisce musicisti di primissimo piano. Spicca la voce di Tiziana Laconte così come le chitarre di Claudio Moneta, autore anche dei testi.

La musica è un art rock dalle tinte ambient, con suoni che ricordano la glitch come alcune derive free.

Un lavoro, dunque, stratificato a tutti i livelli con stimoli multidimensionali e multidisciplinari. Denni è sinceramente una delle mente artistiche più vivaci degli ultimi anni, con idee sempre nuove ed originali. A proposito di ottime idee ci teniamo anche a citare il disco "Il Wedding Kollektiv & female friends play SOUP", un remix album dell'ottimo esordio, rielaborato tramite le femminili sensibilità di alcune conoscenze del collettivo. Anche questo disco è un'ottima prova di creatività tout court che, come se ce ne fosse bisogno, amplia ulteriormente il concetto di "collett(v)ivo" mutevole e sempre alla ricerca di novità.

About the voice I don't know how it will sounds. Anyway in Italy Shadow will be dubbed by Claudio Moneta.

I think Simone d'Andrea would fit better, he sounds almost like Renato Novara, Sonic's Italian VA. Since my favourite shadow is the early, multifaceted character who was dubbed by David Humphrey, I tend to assume he got a smooth, soft voice (certainly not sounding like Kirk Thorton) that contrasts with his grim appearance.
