Rewatched Coco tonight while awaiting trick or treaters and it really took me back.

Coco was actually what brought me to tumblr. After I first saw the movie, I was craving more, so I googled “Coco fanart” and the search brought me to tumblr

The Coco fandom was the fandom that welcomed me to tumblr. It was exciting logging on and seeing new art and fic updates posted everyday, and interacting with each other of our posts. And while I’ve been through many fandoms since then, as have all of you, but I’ll never forget the friendly Coco fandom that helped me make an online home here.

My friend called me this morning and just started off with no hello or anything.

"You know in Once Upon A Studio where every Disney character comes to life? Where are the Pixar characters?"

"It's just the disney characters, the Pixar characters are probably at Pixar studios."

"They're probably fighting for their life."

"Huh."

"The Pixar characters are in life threatening situations every second in some of their movies. They're probably fighting a monster or something."

"Go to sleep."

And I couldn't stop thinking of how funny the idea was

Slugcat intelligence

This is a short ramble but I've seen some people act like slucats are but simple rodents. I heavily disagree with this statement and not quite sure where it came from beyond them looking like it. Simple facts are we seem them even just in Monk's and Survivor's cutscenes to be at least emotionally intelligent enough to have families (reaffirmed in watcher) Not even mentioning downpour if you take it cannon. They have an entire communal society in downpour cannon. The only other intelligent creatures the scavengers have a lot in common with slugcats even gameplay wise. Both being in upright positions being able to use items (hold spears/throw rocks/carry pearls and deliver them) Just like scavangers slugcats can also make the connection to bring things to the iterators (debatable if as gifts or to purposefully be read off) They're also capable of understanding overseer instructions/recieve taskes once the mark of communication has been granted.

I don't think they're super highly intelligent but they're definetly the very least around the same level as scavenger.

I was doing that challenge going around where you search “is [your favorite character]” and answer the google suggestion questions, and by the time I got to Yatsuhashi’s name, in the search bar, Neo decided to crash?! 😂

Then a BlueSky follower suggested I draw some of the team’s reactions to their questions…hehehe

The battle of Manhattan had started a few days ago. Tons of people were injured, some dead, yet luckily, most of them were okay and were out fighting the monsters that occupied the streets.

Little Raven, about 14 years old, was with the "enemy," Kronos. He looked different, being a bit shorter with shaggy brown hair that was oddly layered and just about reached his shoulders.

He heard the fighting going on back in town, but stayed put. He wanted to help, but what could he do? All he had was a few daggers, and he had on a scythe necklace, a clear indicator of who he was working for. He'd be killed instantly.

So he sat back, hiding behind a pillar and looking at the chaos going on in front of him. He didn't seem to notice you approaching.

[When you're recruited by someone you've had a thing for, you'd assume they'd say yes right away, however... Coco works with negotiation, so it wasn't right away recruitment, it took some convincing and telling all about the benefits until the answer was definitive 'yes'. The scythe charm was tucked comfortably under their shirt, playing along with the role of choosing "the right side", it makes her gag.]

[It was, to be fair, a lot to go through... The gray streak in her hair can confirm, bruises on their knees were evidence as well, the whole thing was evidence enough about what came along as the spy of the Titan army. But, everything else about it was fun, I mean they got to elbow Percy against his temple when on the PA.]

[When hearing about the new recruit, it made their head tilt, made them look at Collette and Cole with as equal amount of confusion as they had. They can't really say much, though, they're quite tired to even say anything about it. So seeing said new recruit, they backed away in the middle of the battle, having made their way behind the pillar.]

"So you're the new recruit, eh?" [Coco giggled while stepping from her position behind the pillar, hands intertwined behind their back, leaning forward though kept a bit of a distance when in front of Raven.] "I never knew we'd have new recruits even amidst the battle, quite fun, honestly."
