Fun Fact! : I actually wrote a Hetalia fic a few years ago (is no longer on the internet and it wasn't in English anyway so you guys probably don't know about it) and it was my first work were someone commented that I was 'heartless' cuz it had so. much. angst. Hurt/no comfort kind of thing with suicidal thoughts and eventual suicide. It was dark. It had a little bit of PruCan but it wasn't the main focus.

Have this some silly art I make heheh. This part happens in my first draft of the fanfic

little ramble: the You've Got Email fic is actually supposed to be short dark-comedic romance. Two shoots fic based on König and Snow message, and they two supposed to first interacted on some sub forum on Reddit (They roast each other).

But I decided to redo the fict because the first draft have too much Dub-Con element and I also want to explore more about the plot to make them have emotional connection.

but it feels like there was something from the moment that we touched

Ollie met you for the first time through a mutual friend. He remembers that moment very clearly, as if it just happened five minutes ago. It was in the small bookstore you family owned. And no, Ollie is not the biggest reader, but he surely spends a lot of time in the bookstore just so he could talk to you.

He still remembers how soft your hand was when you shake his hand for the first time. Olli was not a believer of ‘love at the first sight’ or anything of that sort, but he surely felt his breath got taken away when he first hear your voice saying his name.

“Hi Ollie, nice to meet you.”

it was a few months after Ollie got introduced to you when he finally gather up some courage to ask you to hang out. The first time he went out with you, he insisted that it wasn’t a date or anything like that. Well, he tried to convince himself that anyway.

He invited you to go to the aquarium after he noticed how much love you have for sea creatures. Listening to your ramble about them makes himself happy even though he doesn’t understand much.

Ollie can confirm that the moment he saw your eyes lit up when you entered the aquarium area, that was the moment he finally admitted to himself that he had fall for you, hard. The way your eyes sparkled underneath the aquarium light makes him unable to look at anything but you. The way you smiled and thank him for taking you there makes Ollie realized he never wants to say goodbye to you at the end of the day.

“Do you want to go grab some dinner first?”

Okay, maybe it was a bit of an exaggeration when he called you to be the best thing that ever happened to him in his whole entire life. Afterall, he just turned 18 a couple of months ago. But that doesn’t mean what he said wasn’t true.

For Ollie, falling for you comes naturally. He loves everything about you. He will listens to anything you said even though he doesn’t understand any of it, he will watch over you anytime, he would sacrifice anything in his life if it meant you’re living happily.

Both of you are just two cluelessly in love. But oh, how much Ollie wish not to grow up if this is how it feels to be a kid in love.

Ollie also remembers the moment he asked you to be his girlfriend. It was midnight, you were reading a book while he finished his essay. He remembers the soft music playing on the background and a couple of scented candles lit up on the kitchen counter, making the scene feels very romantic.

“Can I be your boyfriend?” he had asked, mentally scolding himself right after. Because who the hell said that? He had thought

“What?” you asked, pretty surprised by his sudden outburst. How could you not? You were literally shoving down an entire bowl of popcorn into your mouth when he asked you that, seemingly out of nowhere.

“Will you be my girlfriend?” he finally asked correctly with a blush coloring his cheek.

You don’t need to be asked thrice and a full confession to accept him.

Being in a relationship with you is way better than what Ollie had ever dreamed of. You are always there for him. You were there when he finished his F3 season. You were there when it was announced that he will be joining F2 for the next season.

Ollie is also there on every step of your life. He was there when you graduated high school. He was also there right next to you when you opened your offer letter from your dream university

With you on every step of his journey, Ollie was sure that he will always be a kid in love and how he wish to never grow up.

I loved the stubbornness and obstinacy of the character, it matches perfectly with what I always saw in a partner for Achilles. And speaking of Achilles, now I just want a boyfriend like him, the way he was willing to give up fame to be with her and how he loves her in such a poetic way is just wow. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you would write in a possible part 2, thank you again for fulfilling my request so beautifully.

I was super curious about what you would think and I'm extremely happy knowing you are so satisfied with the result of your request. As i stated in the post, i had material to make it longer but i felt that if I would have incluided everything it would have made it too long. Hopefully one of these days I will edit and expand the first draft of the things I left behind to make a continuation.

Characterizations are one of my biggest concerns, so I'm very relieved you think everything was on point. Same, anon, I also want a boyfriend like him <3 The idea of making Achilles being the one willing to do the sacrifice first, thinking on giving up fame as inmediate response to knowing the prophecy, occured to me directly from the film canon characterization. What I did was expanding it a bit, going deeper into a point that the movie showed but was overlooked with so many things happening inmediately afterwards.

When trully facing the dichotomy between his two possible fates because he realized he had fallen in love, this was his response:

Odysseus attempts to persuade him through reminders of the glory he would leave behind, but he doesn't seem so affected.

Filmwise, Achilles has showed will to choose love over glory. He was about to leave so he could live in peace with Briseis, only the death of Patroclus stopped him. Grief for feeling like he had falied him and need for revenge made him stay in Troy and get back to the war. It was a struggle between his romantical love towards her and his platonical bond with his deceased relative, not between love and glory. At this point of the film Achilles is in a similar mess to what Will Turner had to face in the POTC trilogy. Every step he takes to avenge his relative takes him further away from the woman he loves, foreshadowing a tragic end.

Going back to the prophecy reveal scene to write the request knowing this gave me a clear idea of where Achilles would stand if he would have been in a commited relationship before the war starts. For me, writing him capable of giving up his dream of making history for her in the fict was the most in character thing. This misunderstanding where she points out how unfair that would be because she knows he has worked so hard for it, but he keeps telling her he would leave it all behind for her is peak film Achilles romance.

And just like you said: he loves in a poetic way. However it is not only because he is the main hero and everything he does, he does it with epicity. Paris being the man who doomed two civilizations for love may be the hopeless romantic man in the film, but Achilles has some of the most poetical lines. The classic " the gods envy us" speech ( that some people wrongfully attribute to Homer because of how poetic it sounds lol), his " you gave me peace in a lifetime of war"... I can't help feeling he loves intensely and poetically.

This is what i want my writing for him to reflect and I put tons of effort to make it work in all my fics. I am actually so glad you pointed it out. I'm like " OMG, someone noticed!! "

Sorry i made this so long and I hope you will not get bored reading me. Your comment made me so happy i felt I wanted to share some details about my writing process with you ( but also ramble about how much I love the character and the romance style that he inspires me to write)

I'm very excited about continuing this fic and hope to get back to it soon, but the good news is that the troy wip im currently working on is also an Achilles one.

I made this specifically for @frownyalfred because everytime I think of this fict and see the summary I go "oh yeah that one where Bruce goes full jersey and cusses someone out lmao"

I was legit just gonna put a black background with the usual cuss symbols you see in comics in gold (there is no censorship in that fict and I adore them for it) but I thought it deserved a bit more. Fun fact: Canva doesn't have a good license plate font for free so I made due. That is the color scheme for a new jersey taxi tho from my research. Just replace the bat with the state.

OC Evolution is... funny.

So, once again I found Mila’s old Picrew ref and... boy, did she change a LOT from this.

Course if we wanna go even further back, there was when she was a twin OC back when I was 11 and in recent years, it’s been fun going back to OC’s, I used to have and revitalize them into well... proper characters. Which is how she got her start, down to changing her name from Melody to Mila because it suited her better.

First we had this, where she was more soft spoken, still had some of her punk origin with the ear piercings... This was in 2020, when I was trying to and initially could not get a beat for the kind of story I wanted to tell. I had ideas... boy did I have a LOT of ideas. She was honestly more of a girly girl and while goth, was more gothic lolita... and than I realized, that didn’t really work with her profession and it didn’t suit her. I also wanted to do other things with her but talked myself out of it...

Then came 2022, when Aileen visited and we binged season one of SRMTHFG and she kicked me to give writing a fict for it a try and I wanted Mila along for the ride again.

And that’s how we got THIS version of her.  This is where her real personality, started to come through. She was no nonsense, still knew how to have fun, but she also had that gentleness to her still... at this point I was using a base and decided...

This ain’t her. Because once again her personality made the deciding factor and after awhile of writing ReIgnition, THIS wasn’t it.

Thus, we get to this.

Embraced her gothic side, with declaring she was never going to fully outgrow it. Brought back the piercings. Probably had too much fun picking outfits for her, buuut that’s the fun of vroid studio. This is, what I can confidently say is her.

Mila is a no-nonsense, snarky, fiery young woman who doesn’t put up with crap from anyone and I mean ANYONE. Passionate for her job as a florist and working hard to upkeep her parents legacy, she runs Hanamura’s Botanicals with an iron fist. She’s skilled with flower language, ikebana, basically if it involves plants, it’s in her wheelhouse. 

A former singer, who’s band Cosmic Void disbanded after a certain incident on Shuggazoom, she still practices and plays guitar in private but it’s a hobby now. She’s never sure if she’ll ever get to perform again, but she still uses her vocal training... Sometimes to others’ chagrin. (She can belt out a death metal scream, that’d wake the dead)

She takes care of the family home and makes sure Chiro has a place to always return to. She’s had a hard time finding the balance between being “Big sister” and “Mom” and she’ll be the first to tell anyone who asks, that she has one kid already. It wasn’t easy, none of it ever was, but she has no regrets...

Well, except maybe letting him go out on a certain fateful day to the outskirts of the city...

It’s kinda funny how figuring her out, also helped in figuring out what kind of story ReIgnition was going to be, as while she’s a main driving force... she’s not the main character. That, belongs to Chiro. Mila is just along for the ride, albeit mostly against her better judgement or outright determination to get involved. 

So yeah, just my rambles about my girl and what went into figuring out what I wanted her to be.  

Honestly, I just like to think that my childhood self would be happy to see where I’ve gone with that first OC.
