*This is an entry originally from Shiptober 2019! Last entry for today! I'm probably not going to draw again until tomorrow because I need a break and I want to go play RDR2 and Spider-Man PS4, but we're almost done y'all! Let's see if I can get 9 entries done before November 1st q-q As is the case with a lot of background ponies/side characters, I'm never really sure what to do with them in my verse. Because of that, I take inspiration from other Next Gen AUs and MLP fanart to get ideas for ships, and that's where I found Cocofire. I don't think they've ever interacted in canon, but when has that stopped me? Idk I just like the idea of the gruff, captain/drill sergeant being lovey-dovey with her sweet dressmaker wife :'] Also, side note, while this entry was drawn last year, I think the anatomy still holds up well? I still struggle with hooves, but everything else looks good still! Pausing, the chubby girl looked down at the thin chained watch around her wrist, biting her lip before slipping in a cute smile, "well. . ."

"I guess I can. The show's not gonna start before two hours or so, at least." She pressed her cheek against her collar and clapped her hands to assert herself — honestly, she was the cutest.

Spitfire grinned, resisting the urge to jump at her feet (and scream), "great! You're staying till 10.00."

The fashionista giggled with her hand over her mouth, amused by her acquaintance's enthusiasm, "I'm staying till 10.00."

Absolutely 100% I adore them

So, they met at a Fashion Show where Spitfire was the special guest. Up until that moment Coco had never really had a crush before, but one look at Spits and baby was FLOORED. She just could not function properly at all for the full event

Spitfire also kinda gravitated to Coco. She didn't have any interest in the fashion industry but something about Coco was just so unique. She was really down to earth for a high-class designer, and had a heart for charity, which Spitfire empathized with.

Sometime at the after party Spitfire finally got a moment in with Coco (who may or may not have been avoiding her because Oh Celestia She's So Cool) and managed to coax out a conversation.

They got along really well once Coco recovered from the shock, and they started "bumping into each other" (Spitfires interest in fashion events spiked quite a bit after she forgot to get Cocos number at the first one) and they eventually started properly dating

They're both really busy and work oriented, but they take lush vacations together whenever possible. They both have such hectic jobs that pure rest & relaxation is pretty high on the off day priorities.

Coco ends up doing a lot of uniform work for the wonderbolts, and Spitfire points this out at literally any chance ('love the new uniforms!' 'MY MAREFRIEND MADE IT SHES SO TALENTED LOOK AT THE-'). The team thinks its really cute how excited she gets when it's brought up, and they tease her about it relentlessly.

They're a pretty popular celebrity power couple. Sometimes when Spitfire is upset Coco will (jokingly) bring up some wild rumor from the tabloids because she KNOWS Spitfire reads them and finds them hilarious ('....this is about your secret affair with the princess of friendship isn't it u_u' 'fhujiyawdefrgt COCO STOP')
