Purr
Iris, a dwarven druid, makes an executive decision when she hears Astarion crying during a trance. SFW mostly.
Iris Coldcreek was awoken by sounds coming from the text next to hers.
Astarion.
She heard cries and immediately got up, heading towards his tent as fast as she could. I’m a dwarf with short legs. I can only go so fast! Hold on, Astarion---help is on the way! Peeking her head inside, she saw him lying flat on his back, eyes leaking tears.
“Master…Master, please…I’ll bring you more! Please! Stop burning me, I beg of you!”
Oh gods, you poor man. You poor, poor man. What did that fucker do to you?
“Master, no! It HURTS!”
Heart pounding in her chest, Iris decided to do what she had done with an old adventuring friend who had frequent nightmares---wildshape into a cat and purr. Loudly. It’s cat time! A golden glow enveloped her as wildshaped into a frankly adorable, if I’m being honest orange tabby and slowly entered Astarion’s tent.
He continued to cry, his hands gripping the bedroll like his life depended on it. “Master…no…please, Master…”
She made her way to Astarion and eyed his chest. Perfect. Climbing onto his chest as carefully as I could, she curled up, closed her eyes, and began to purr. Just like Master Ywain said, “Healing comes in many forms, some most unexpected.” After a few moments, one of his hands began to gently pet her, causing her to purr more. Aw, he does like animals! Maybe he’s just not a fan of dogs.
“Hmmm, this is…” His ruby eyes opened, and he let out of a small shriek. “What the—”
Iris leapt off him and reached for his parasite.
Astarion, it’s Iris! Everything is okay. You’re alright!
“You just barged into my tent! While I was in a trance! What the hells is the matter with you!” He growled, now on his knees with his fists clenched. “Is this some kind of sick joke to you druids?”
No, no, no! I’m sorry. I really am. I…I heard you crying and went to check on you.
“Checking on me is one thing, but—”
I have an adventurer friend who went through some things and had horrible nightmares. What helped them was me in wildshape as a cat sleeping on their chest. I thought maybe that could help you too. Her rose-pink eyes glanced at the ground. I’m sorry. I promise you can feed on me longer tomorrow if you want.
“C-can you change back please?” He began rubbing his temples.
Iris leapt off his lap and came out of wildshape. “I—”
He lifted his head slightly to look at her, ruby eyes round and doe-like. “What you said about your friend---that was true?”
Huh? That’s what he wants to know? She nodded quickly. “Yes! Every night when we traveled together I’d wildshape and sleep on his chest. I’m happy to do it again if it helps you when you’re trancing.”
“Will you, dear?” Wringing his hands, he looked so adorable. So shy! He’s not a shy one…at least not normally. But why around me? He can’t…wait. No. No. No. Stop. He would never want me. “It was…nice.” Seeing her nod so enthusiastically made him smile. Really truly smile. He laid back down and held out a hand. “Come on, darling.”
“Healing comes in many forms, some most unexpected.” If I have to be a cat while I sleep so he can rest, then so be it. I’d do anything to see him smile like that again. Back into her cat wildshape, she climbed onto his chest and laid down in the form of a loaf, her rose pink eyes staring into his red ones.
I’ll be here as long as you need me, okay?
For several minutes, there was no response from him. Iris assumed he had begun to trance, but as she drifted off to sleep, she heard him in her mind.
Promise?
She began to purr. I’m not going anywhere. I promise.
What a sweet little kitten you are…
***
“My heart?” Halsin asked with a raised eyebrow as he, Iris, and Astarion were getting ready for bed. Her rose-pink eyes began to glow gold. “Why are you preparing to go into wildshape?”
Astarion smiled fondly at the dwarf. “Oh little love, I think I’ll be fine for one night. After all, you’re to be the middle of an elven sandwich!” He laughed with glee, something he did much more since Cazador’s downfall. And since he and Halsin have developed a relationship much like I share with both of them. Coupling also comes in many forms apparently. “Our tastiest, sweetest treat!” The three now occupied one room with two beds pushed together so they could easily sleep and trance. Together. Always together.
“If you’re sure, love.” Iris smiled, crawling to the middle. She rolled onto her side, and soon Halsin was spooned behind her while Astarion faced her. “Star trances better when I’m a kitty and sleeping on him.” She explained, looking at the pale elf with all the love I have. It’s what he deserves. All that and more. So much more than I could ever give him. Taking one of his hands in hers, she gave it a small squeeze.
“Nature blessed you with boundless compassion—”
“Except towards goblins, darling. Our dear Iris so loves tearing them apart.” Astarion winked. I mean, well yeah…technically I am being compassionate giving them a quick swipe as an owlbear.
Halsin chuckled and tickled her soft belly. “Mostly boundless compassion, my heart. Astarion, if it pleases you, I could also wildshape for you some night to ease your trances.”
Before the vampire had a chance to comment, Iris’s eyes went wide. “Oh my gods, we could both be bears and snuggle with you!!!!! That would be so cute!” SO. FUCKING. CUTE.
“Of course, you’d think of that. What else would I expect from my kitten, hmm?” He purred, clearly very enamored with my idea. Fuck yeah. So many fluffy, fuzzy cuddles. “My sweet little kitten with the prettiest eyes…” Astarion placed a kiss on her forehead and snuggled close. “And my big beautiful bear—”
“With the big beautiful cock!” Iris giggled as her two lovers laughed.
I love you both with all my heart.
Tonight, snuggles as people.
Tomorrow, SNUGGLES AS BEARS.

BG3 Tav Backstory
I was tagged by the lovely @grenanigans. Thank you! <3
So here's the thing...
Every single Tav I've created in BG3 is a version of my beloved dork, the Warrior of Light herself---Agnes Currai Varlineau. Prepare yourselves for a massive lore dump.
Crouching dork; hidden badass.
And there's a lot of Agi's FFXIV background in with her counterparts in BG3.
Luci Littlefoot Currai is Agi's mother (adopted---Agi is a hyur and her adoptive parents are lalafells.) Countess Luci Wildheart is Luci's counterpart---always either her adoptive mother (Thea, Freya, Agnetha, Annie, Lily, Ramona), her actual mother (Agnes aka dwarf!Agi), godmother (Martha), or a close female role model (Octavia). Luci will always be a part of Agi!Tav's life in some way.
H'nadia is Agi's oldest friend, a troll (to Estinien along with Yararu and Purple), and is the godmother of her nine children. Nadia is the counterpart to H'nadia---a dear friend and roommate.
Agi and her BG3 counterparts are very, VERY good at magic and being naturally adept at it.
Agi's official job is adventurer. Thea is the version of her who travels as an adventurer.
Corrai Currai is Agi's (adoptive) father who unfortunately dies during the Seventh Umbral Calamity (five years before the events of A Realm Reborn). Cormoran Coldcreek is his counterpart and dies before the events of the game.
Like original flavor Agi, Tav!Agi is a virgin at the start of the game and has had a terrible experience with an asshole named Gregor. Annie in particular was courted by a human noble named Gregor who ditched her when a "prettier" woman came along with a larger dowry.
Agi and Agi!Tavs are excellent cooks (taught by her mum) and bakers (brownies being her favorite thing to bake).
Agi's chocobo companion is named Horace and is beloved by her. Her favorite minion is a corgi. Agi!Tavs have a corgi named Horace.
Martha's surname is Hylfyst. Ardbert Hylfyst is a *very* important character in FFXIV to the Warrior of Light.
Agi's birth parents were a pirate named Brant Longsong and a barmaid Kay Aldis. Martha's parents are Brant and Karine Hylfyst.
I know that's not what the background/backstory is supposed to be, but I think for those who read my BG3 fics this will hopefully help understand references/characters to the original Agi.
You know...this lady...
Who in BG3 are these ladies...

About Old Friends and New, Another Murder:
A touch of nostalgia, a murder, and good friends.
When a former colleague is implicated in his neighbor’s demise, Sheridan Hendley returns to Cold Creek to try to prove his innocence. Annoying as Max can be, she can’t imagine the quirky professor is capable of murder. Unfortunately, not everyone shares her opinion. Of course, it doesn’t help that Max threatened his neighbor in a public place soon before the man was murdered. Or that the victim’s drug shipments had a habit of turning up on Max’s doorstep.
