Since I am apparently the only one to have seen this Australian sitcom Colin From Accounts, I will now talk about it because I liked it so much and I need one other person to watch it. I didn't know what I was getting into when I saw the show's title. I thought, oh, office comedy, and that guy is probably Colin and he works in the accounts department. NO. That dog? That's Colin From Accounts. The dog's name is Colin From Accounts. I need someone to acknowledge that there is this show and it has a dog and its name is Colin From Accounts and the show is named after the dog and not a person. That's how they should advertise the show. Tell people that.
But in case anyone wants to know, it's also a wholesome comedy, it's kind of like Ted Lasso because they talk through problems and resolve it within that episode instead of making it some wacky miscommunication plotline that's supposed to be funny (I never found those very funny). There's romance between who else but those two up there. It's just a solid comedy show. Watch it, laugh, have a good time. 10/10.

Colin from Accounts (prod. Harriet Dyer & Patrick Brammall).
This Australian romantic comedy series bursts with charm from the random coupling of its two flawed lead characters in the show's first moments. Dyer and Brammall have impeccable chemistry and are both appealing foils as unlikely love interests. It's a comforting watch with inventive takes on the well-worn opposites attract rom-com formula. Filled with plenty of heart, it certainly sidesteps the trickiness of its premise revolving around accidentally injuring a dog.

Colin from Accounts (2022-)
🎬Ashley and Gordon, two single-ish, complex humans who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog. Flawed, funny people choosing each other and being brave enough to show their true selves and navigate life together.
📝A really funny and original show. It made me laugh. Comedy is a tough genre, it is a very fine line between try hard and overkill, this, gets a good balance. Very witty dialogue and very charming and likeable cast. I hope there will be a season 2. It's on BBC iPlayer in UK. Check it out if you want to watch something funny and cheerful.
I remember Patrick Brammal from 'The Moodys' which was also an excellent series. Funny and left a smile on your face.

EPISODE 1! Where it all started. Since Covid, I'd noticed more and more people on social media complaining of feeling isolated. I'm no stranger to the black dog myself - having wrestled with it for more than 30 years. During lockdown, conversational shows like Chatabix were a real help for keeping the shadows at bay, so my friend Ben and I were inspired to start our own - Reclining Pair. Sometimes when you're feeling shit, the most you can handle is a bit of TV, and that's fine, but come and engage with us.... talk about your favourite shows. We're trying to create a safe, happy space, no politics, no hate, and we only try to feature things we like. There's enough shit-talking in the world. We want to celebrate brilliant stuff. Each episode we cover 3 or 4 quality shows, I present Ben with a unique quiz, and we talk a lot of nonsense in between. That's it. So come in... take the weight off your brain for an hour. Mike.
