#OnThisDate: Hello March!! Please be a better month for me than how last month went in my personal life… Last year (3/1/2022), I ate breakfast at Duncan’s Dairy Bar with a client for a potential writing opportunity and picked up, I think, a hot Matcha Latte, at the nearby Dunkin’. Today in the mail (3/1/2023) came my first ever FRONT PAGE feature in TheSpot518!! Since I began contributing in 2016 had I never had a story of mine featured as a top story until now. This was one good piece of news I heard on Monday about this feature landing front page. The Art Associates Gallery Inc will have their art opening for “The Art of Photography” this upcoming Friday, March 3, & it features the talents of 24 Capital Region photographers. #MemorialMonday: Last year (11/16/2019) was a sad,tough day for me and many of my friends & acquaintances. It was the day of the funeral service for our friend, artist, and musician, Tom D’Ambrose, who passed away on November 10,2019. There was a small display of his paintings, his saxophone that he played music with in his bands was on view, and his musician friends and cousin, Mike Kelley, performed music all afternoon, in dedication to Tom. It’s unreal that it’s been a year since my friend passed away. Tom was a great friend to me and so many others out there in the arts & music scene and he remains missed to this day. Thank you Tom for your friendship, your beautiful art, and music! May you continue to watch over us. Rest In Peace Tom. (Photos taken by Amy L.
