I just can't get over how pretty some of these page compositions are

#speculation nation #fanny reads nno #nabari no ou #like all the art is good by this point. but the majority of the pages are just functional manga panels #but then every so often it transitions into the most artsy spreads. theyre really pretty #and it does a Lot for capturing emotions. kamatani really does so well at that.#waaaaaaa ive read this whole manga before of course but getting to experience it all over again after all these years...#it just feels so special. and it's So nice to read it in physical print...#doesnt allow for as good of posting screenshots lol but for the here and now.. getting to feel and handle the pages.... wahhhh #i love this manga. i Love this manga. im on volume 6 and im so scared for when i reach volume 10 fbskfhks #i have a feeling im going to cry. again.#that volume made me cry like a fucking baby when i was just 14 years old. for a solid half hour.#no other manga has made me cry like that before hfkshfkd #and i am doing it ALL OVER AGAIN! wahoo!!!!#gleefully walking right back into heartbreak bc it's so worth it. the story is so beautiful. the art!!! the composition!!!! i LOVE it #ive long upheld that this is one of my absolute favorite manga and im so glad to experience it all over again.

im not rlly interested in going thru hrt at this point and idk if i ever will but my partner wants so badly for me to get my hormone levels checked cuz he suspects that i might be on the intersex spectrum (i rlly dont know much about it myself but he sure is curious) due to the fact that i started developing a considerably lower voice around puberty (by the time i was in high school i was singing comfortably in the tenor range) and his voice depth only surpassed mine a few months ago after he had been on T injections for nearly 2 years and i regularly grow beard hairs and shit among well ummm. other physical attributes that might. indicate. Oh cmon you know what i mean

#i dont rlly care either way cuz my genetic composition is so whatever to me but it does make me curious #also maybe some sort of hormone imbalance being fixed in me might turn me into a functional human being... who know

Well, in the absence of anything specific that I can throw together in one day for Halloween, I might just wear all my most fantasy-adventurer wardrobe items tomorrow, braid my hair, and be the most generic DnD ranger ever.

Which, if I'm being entirely honest, is not that far off from my usual look. But on the bright side, I have a handy animal companion ready to go, so that's something.

#if i wanted to really sell it I'd bring one of my bows and some arrows #but my (carbon composite) arrows were fletched for function not period-correctness so the fletches are fluorescent yellow lmao #but i have 2 very elfy recurves and a beautiful leather back quiver #also this is a good excuse to trim the fringe on my orange handwoven scarf #so that's something #Halloween

#today's art adventure #altho' in the event of actually constructing a pocket-size william bush I Would have to make a hard decision on which leg it Is #iirc forester doesn't tell us and thus I have never actually settled on which... I just pick every time for what works in the composition :#which is. not best practice I am sure.#I think this would probably take a lot of the joint functionality but my dolls usually have their joints start to wear out in a year or so #so it's not a lot lost to have him not be able to bend that knee #and also furniture is boring to make so it is not as if I have ever made Any of them any properly scaled things to sit on!#if I ever came into thousands and thousands of dollars I think I would have someone build me a scale model ship for nine-inch dolls #but up until that unlikely time they are just going to keep living on my desk :]

it took me like 45 minutes to figure out what composing equivalence relations even means and the fact that they're associative was literally the first sentence of the article i was reading,,, so things are going well.

Just to say (and hope I'm not being rude) You do alot of art which baffles me I'm pretty much a Lazy artist myself and can't seem to get one art piece out but seeing you post pictures of colourful men and a comic coming amazes me how you do it. OOOOOOH THANK YOU SO MUCH 🥺❤️!!! I’ll be completely honest and attribute a lot of it to working on a webtoon, which demands pretty clean/finished-looking art done in about a quarter of the time. It’s felt a lot like boot camp.

#like the tc/sw pieces are ‘sketches’ despite the like. fairly dramatic lighting #because if you peel off the gradient maps noise filters and glow layers #it’s functionally a very quick pencil sketch with a b/w value layer #it’s just a couple composition and lighting tricks #very quick hacks for scenic action i use in the webtoon #ask

one of the main reasons i've been writing that csound library is because i want to be able to do various types of microsound based synthesis with more sophisticated macro level control beyond what most synths can offer but now that I'm at the point where I can actually do that i'm stuck on figuring out what exactly i wanna do

#i mean i know the basic framework of what i wanna do #i want to write functions that generate small compositions on the micro time scale #and then use those functions in other functions which generate higher order compositions at the meso and macro time scales #but that concept is still such an open book and idk how to ground myself #i have at most one follower who knows what i'm talking about kinda sorta here but im just thinking out loud
