related to the pho post my queue spat out today, all I really ever want to eat is a good noodle soup and YESTERDAY I discovered a new (ish) restaurant in town that does Chinese noodle soups (with home made noodles!) that aren't only delicious but even have a good lunch deal and now I can't stop thinking about them

so yesterday for lunch I made meat with berry sauce after a recepie that was actually made by the anglo saxons way back in ye olden days.

Ended up oversalting it by accident because the recepie calls for bone broth, I just used storebought and forgor that the storebought bonebroth is a concentrated liquid that you're suppsoed to water down 50/50. Ended up saving the sauce by just making twice the amount I originally wanted.

So anyways deer with a sweet berry sauce is kinda fire and I'll make it again for christmas and also dump in some orange slices and cinnamon sticks just for shits and giggles.

The more I fish in Gundabad the more I come to hate fishing in Gundabad

With a cookable fish drop rate of less than twelve percent, it’s the worst place for getting cookable fish, except for Mordor, where they just don’t drop at all. Also for some reason almost half of the cookable fish I did get were catfish, which are otherwise the rarest cookable fish. So. I don’t know what’s up with that.

I’ve tentatively divided the various in-game regions into “Fish Regions” to group them together with regards to the type of fish they drop*. For example, Bree-land, Ered Luin, and the Shire make up Region 1, where you will find Dace and Catfish. The Lone-lands and the North Downs share Region 2, where you can still find Dace and Catfish, but might also encounter Perch and Trout. The Trollshaws and Evendim are in Region 3, where you might reel in Golden Mullets, Perch, or Trout. And so on and so forth. Some later regions, most notably the Vales of Anduin and the Wells of Langflood, have regions that seem to be combined drops from other regions. Those two specifically share a region that seems to be a combination of Region 2 (Dace/Catfish/Trout), Region 4 (Carp/Flounder/Golden Mullet/Largemouth Bass/Sturgeons), and Region 6 (Dace/Catfish/Trout/Lake-master fish).

Gundabad’s region is totally unique. It seems to be a combination of all the regions prior to it, but with Trout cut out. As all regions (excepting Mordor) average out to 30-40% cookable fish, combining them pushes that percentage even lower and results in an abysmally low drop rate, which is made even worse with the Trout removed.

All this to say I very much don’t recommend fishing in Gundabad for any reason, unless you’re trying to finish your Sturgeon and Darter deeds at the same time, in which case Gundabad is the only place you’re going to get both.

*These regions are subject to change due to low sample sizes in some regions that may have led me to misinterpret data.

We were supposed to get out the door super early so i could get my shot and we could go shopping but dad's been on a cleaning spree. I encourage lying to customers whenever you can get away with it (as long as it doesn’t throw your coworkers under the bus) and stealing from your job if you earn min wage. Putting an extra bag in the bin when we do wastage to catch the unopened food and leave it so I can take it home and either give it to my old coworkers for free at previous workplaces or give it to hungry people on the street (I don’t donate it to food banks because it’s usually not accepted if it’s going OOD same day and they’re closed when I finish work)

children who order their hot chocolate with a please and thank you mysteriously get two more extra marshmallows than they ordered I love you sweetie pies

children who scream and shout and knock over the reusable cups and don’t respond to their parents when they ask if they want marshmallows get put in the milk fridge and forgotten

customers who when I ask if they want a medium (standard) size respond with “yes” and then pause “the smallest you do” so I ask if they want a small instead and they go “hmmm no medium is fine” and then when I go past the point of being able to modify the order for some stupid fucking reason (not their fault not my fault only the fault of the company that doesn’t want to risk employees voiding off at will and losing them money) they change their mind “oh I’ll have a small actually teehee” I am,,,,, no words only angry

company that won’t give their employees free lunch or free coffee outside of the four standard core drinks (no syrups or alt milk except soy) but will do a “free iced drinks” promotion at the height of British summer with said understaffed underpaid and overworked employees die in a fire challenge

Mikey stands in front of one of the sewer walls with spray paint in hand. Though, it's one of the few surfaces left he can release his creativity on. Painting near the lair is ''dangerous'' and ''could lead unwanted guests''.

Even when the box shelled turtle pleaded with ''I could draw arrows in the opposite direction?'' He got send away by both Splinter and Raphael. So, what he is about to make must be his best work yet.

Michael thinks and thinks, scratching the back of his head with his painted fingers.

''I already made a Raph, Donnie, April, me and even Splinter! Not to mention I drew Leo waaay too many times.'' With a sigh, Mikey plops on the concrete.

''Well, this isn't like you, Michael.''

A familiar snarky comment strikes Mikey from behind. The orange turtle's head turns.

''Donnie? What are you doing here?''

Donatello's eyes dart away. ''I'm just.. collecting samples for some.. friends.''

''Mhm, so, what you're actually sayin' is that you're collecting me, because there's only cookable things in the house and everyone is hungry.''

''Perhaps..'' Donnie then darts to the wall. ''Anywho, what are you creating this time? It's not like you to leave any surface empty for longer than 2 minutes.''

''I don't know.. I'm out of ideas.''

''Out of ideas? You? Never thought I'd see the day.'' Donnie smirks, but didn't get the backlash he usually gets from his little brother. ''Can't you just.. doodle anything on the wall?''

''No! It has to be meaningful! It's the last wall far enough from the lair to paint on..''

''Hm, I see.'' Glancing down at his depressed brother, Donnie takes hold of one of the spray cans. ''I don't have as much.. artistic skill as you do. However, doesn't meaning equal fun? Science equals meaning to me, so..'' He then hands the paint over to Mikey. ''Doesn't that mean that you can also just have fun?''

Michael's eyes light up as he takes the spray can in hand.

''I guess you're right!'' As the spark of joy returns to him, Mikey also hands Donnie a different spray can. ''And you know what would make this more fun? Doing graffiti together!''

Reluctantly, Donatello grabs the can. ''You do know I can't draw, let alone graffiti, right?''

''Doesn't matter! As long as we're having fun!'' Mikey pets his brother on the back.

Donnie cracks a little smile, using the red paint on the big canvas in front of him.

''Alright, but I'm making lots of explosions!''
