Do you have any recommendations of where to find cord or knot magic? I know of the common ones like tying up a storm but I recently learned to make cordage with plant fibers and so I’m hoping to learn more. A few places I’ve looked, including a book that somehow had 0 information, haven’t panned out. I was just wondering if anything popped to mind for you because I enjoy your blog so much :) Thanks either way!
I'm sorry to say that I don't know of any good book recommendations for this, but I encourage anyone who might know some to share them.
In my own practice, some of the common uses I've found for cords include binding (magically constraining a person or thing) tethering (magically connecting two or more things to one another), transmitting (transferring energy from one person/thing to another), and delineating (laying magical boundaries). I'm not sure of that's helpful to you or not, but it seemed worth including.
Best of luck to you!

During training I got introduced to some old binding techniques. All sewn but on something else than the bands commonly used today. The samples I made then are by no means complete, but it’s a good thing to have the descriptions to come back to. I will share the notes I took and more pictures for those who’d like to try something along those lines.

Making a little test book.....
…..as I agreed to enter a book binding thing of binding a text block based on a letter by Nicolas Baudin disputing Captain Cook’s findings of Terra Nullius. I’m trying some things out as I’ve made my own cords that I want visible on the inside of the book, and parts of the outside. Not sure how I feel about them on the outside yet. Glad I’ve done a dummy run. Not sure how I feel about the…
