Essa teoria propõe que partículas elementares, como elétrons e quarks, são compostas por pequenas cordas vibrantes. Em um universo primitivo, algumas dessas cordas podem ter crescido até tamanhos galácticos, tornando-se estruturas de energia pura, extremamente finas e com efeitos gravitacionais únicos. Elas poderiam, por exemplo, agir como lentes gravitacionais unidimensionais, duplicando imagens com precisão. Embora candidatos a cordas cósmicas já tenham sido identificados em observações anteriores, como em dados do satélite Planck e do telescópio Chandra, esses casos ainda requerem confirmação detalhada, podendo ser apenas pares de galáxias. O artigo da BBC destaca outra possível evidência para essas cordas: ondas gravitacionais geradas por sua reconfiguração devido à gravidade. Detectadas recentemente por meio de um método chamado Pulsar Timing Array, essas ondas se ajustam a modelos teóricos de cordas cósmicas, mas a evidência é provisória e sujeita a interpretações alternativas. A relação entre cordas cósmicas e viagem no tempo é baseada em um artigo da década de 1990 que propõe que, se duas cordas cósmicas forem alinhadas corretamente, seria matematicamente possível viajar no tempo. This is in relationships SPECIFICALLY to the toxic Fred from cosmicstring's "lucky hat" + "separating the artist from the art" not the one you meet in game. Like seriously read those FICS before this post or it'll make no sense.

I think when he gets used to Mutt he doesn't ever show affection through words- obviously. After all, he's the traitor. Honesty and betraying people doesn't really go along now do they? Instead, he shows it in what can be best described as "acts or service" but not exactly. He'll grumble the whole way. But he'll do it. And he'll try to do it good, in some way at least. Or maybe it'll be in implications he'll show affection. He'll say it was for his own sake, that Mutt's being dramatic, he'll complain. But he still did it, including all the steps he hated or was scared to do, which implied he "tolerated you" (enjoyed your presence) enough to try and surpass those for once. You'll know he likes Mutt because he doesn't bite him anymore when Mutt picks him up, you'll know with the way he gives up at struggling in his grip faster than before. You'll know because he'll complain less long.

I want to add that my personal headcanon is that someone has set up both internal chat features (like Slack) which feature, among other things: a city-wide announcement channel; channels to coordinate social activities; a channel for trades/swaps; a locked channel for bitching (sometimes affectionately, sometimes not) about Mckay; and, of course, various group chats of friends, lab-mates, team-mates, etc.

I also love the idea of someone setting up an internal Twitter-style social media platform. 60% of posts are scientists subtweeting each other about petty scientific rivalries. 20% are “look what cool thing we found!!” posts. Another 10-15% are memes, some Atlantis-specific, some department-specific. Two recurring meme topics are “did our senior staff just do a war crime again? Uh-oh” and “sga-1 could not Avoid Starting Shit Offworld if their lives literally depended on it (which they often do)” . (There is an account that regularly puts out and retweets memes that are both Hilarious and Maybe A Little Too Dark. No one knows that Zelenka runs the account).
