there's no good way to search around for references of a character's shoes for cosplay reasons. everyone focuses on making the rest of the clothes super accurate but not so much on the shoes. and you can't really search around for "[character] feet" without *really* messing up your search results and/or other people's opinions of you

#it looks like his shoes have a heel but what *kind* of heel?#and then the concept art vs how he actually shows up in the movie are different (computer animation limitations of the time)#and i can't base it off the dolls cuz there weren't really any made #and the one that Did get made for a store display just puts him in tall boots cuz those are easier to make in doll size #the children's book adaptation just shows most characters from the waist up #a friend saw someone cosplaying the character last year at amke but their shoes are completely different #and the movie was not exactly made/published in high resolution. so what scenes i do get that show his shoes are blurry af

being a cosplayer is funny sometimes because people simultaneously know what you look like and have no idea what you look like. like I've posted my face a ton on social media via cosplay photos, but no one knows what my actual hair and eye color is unless they've met me in person in civilian clothes.

#not to mention that my makeup for cosplay is much heavier and specifically tailored to that character vs what I normally wear #cosplay #chatterbox
