Persona 5 Kitchenette (Cooking)

is a P5 game idea i came up with... instead of the main PT, the stars here are the auxiliary phantom thieves instead (and joker): akechi, sumire, sophia, zenkichi, and toshiro. this came be because i'm annoyed at how zenkichi (and sophia) are not in P5T, so i thought "you know what, because i am complaining about the lack of P5S guys in P5T, and the royal trio fans complain about the lack of P5R guys in P5S, what if i merge the left out folks in a game. world peace???"

it's basically cooking mama, but a bit more elaborate. the game will be split in 3 parts: shopping, teaching, and cooking. more below (VERY LONG)

storyline

winter holiday is coming up. joker and the gang plans another reunion in leblanc. but then, joker remembers something: the team was bigger, sometimes. there are some of the PT comrades that have yet to chat and meet with them, or even with each of them. so he decided to whip up a surprise: he'll invite not only the main PT, but also the auxiliaries, to meet with each other and the main team.

so joker invited the auxiliary gang ahead of the D-Day. and to make the smaller mini reunion more fun, he decides to do a cooking lesson with them, and they have to cook this on the real reunion day - for the main PT gang.

for the mini reunion, they'll be cooking in sojiro's house, instead of leblanc because of course, leblanc will be filled by customers, duh! they'll have some chats - the awkward one, funny one, annoying one... some character developments and look deeper on the ideals and meanings from the journeys each aux members have gone through. exploring the possible paralels in each characters, contrasts, and what they have been doing while they're off the game.

gameplay

the game is basially visual novel with minigames. it has 2 modes:

story mode: follows the story above. the story itself won't be long, probably like... 3 hours? 5? i dunno. it will play like P5T format: gameplay - dialogue - repeat. i personally find this format to be monotonous to enjoy, so the break sections (the one with menus) will probably allow you to walk around the house and outside? still, all you can do here is talk, so probably there'll be reward for talking. maybe bonuses to ease your next minigame. the character you'll be playing as is scripted.

free mode: you can cook whatever you want in here. it's off from the main story, so treat it like an "what if" (like joker's wedding scenarios in P5T). you can cook whatever you want - there are even new recipes in this mode! complete all the recipes perfectly to achieve platinum. you can pick anyone you'd like to play as (though they determine the kind of minigame you'll be playing, being shopping/teaching/cooking - except joker, he can play all these three).

meanwhile, the game parts are as below. these aren't super fixed or anything, could be changed.

shopping: you'll be playing as sophia. retaining her role in PT as a vendor, your job is to shop the items joker is asking you. joker will give you some items to buy. each item are bought by playing 2 minigames: maze and "find the difference".

maze: sophia has to find the right website to buy the item... by donig code blocks, because she's an AI. code it right, so sophia won't get lost among the sea of websites... the most monotonous one i guess, as there isn't many varieties to it...

find the difference: joker wants these items precise, so you gotta pick the right shop and item based on joker's note. plays like papers, please!, where there are details you can inspect deeper to match and make sure you get the right one (like fake customer reviews, for example)

2. teaching: you'll be playing as sumire and toshiro. each of them will do 1 recipe (so 2 recipes in total). they can cook well, so joker would like you to teach akechi and zenkichi how! teaching is kinda half-half on cooking and "pick the right one" game.

cooking: your job is to prepare the ingredients. these are too advanced for those bad cooks, so hopefully this will ease their process (like preparing fish from the bones, or whole chicken).

"pick the right one": basically making sure those bad cooks do the instructions properly (example, placing the right step to do in the progress bar in stirring process), with a timer.

3. cooking: you'll be playing as akechi and zenkichi. each of them will do 1 recipe (so 2 recipes in total). they're confirmed to be bad at cooking, so joker wants them to learn cooking better... for akechi so he can stop buying take outs, and for zenkichi so he can cook for akane better. this one is full cooking a la cooking mama, so their mingame depends on the recipe they're cooking.

for the mini reunion, you'll be playing shopping and teaching. sophia will shop the ingredients for both mini reunion and reunion day, while sumire and toshiro will teach you how to cook in mini reunion day. in the real reunion day, you'll be playing cooking only.

i was thinking to pair sumire-zenkichi and toshiro-akechi, because pairing sumire-akechi will probably develop less new things from them, as they've met in P5R. but i'm sure that developing new things isn't everything - i think akechi-sumire is a lacking connection in the royal trio triangle, and i'm sure this game will also be about getting new interactions from the established character dynamics. so probably, first half of the teaching/cooking section will be sumire-zenkichi and toshiro-akechi, while the second half is the opposite (or you can swap the order). so you get all.

as for morgana (because morgana is always next to joker), he'll be there as emotional support commentary cat during the gameplay. sophia can also be one during teaching/cooking.

as for the recipes, some will be taken from joker's kitchen in P5S. the ultimate recipes, leblanc coffee and curry, will only be unlockable in free play.

costume

i approached this one with functionality & "what would atlus do", even when i don't know what people wear at winter!!! otherwise, i'd take joker's glasses off and all that... though i believe i can be better at the color picks - i don't think atlus does color coding that much, judging the costume variants in the game. everyone who has long hairs will be tied, because like futaba said:

joker: i observed that his wardrobe is mostly plain, no pattern or peculiar detail. so i gave him shirt with not too much decor other than the buttons and black lines on end, and jeans to make it homey, but still kinda formal for guest visits. joker's appron is the appron he use in leblanc. nothing fancy behind it...

akechi: i noticed a running joke about akechi and plaid patterns when i was doing scramble zine and ya. all his wardrobe has that. so i gave him yellow plaid outer. he sorta has earthy color and his party color is brown. but his pants are already beige, so it's... yellow. his appron is kinda fancy, but still clean sleek. has metallic accents (pocket pins and harness) to give a bit boldness to it, vibing his loki side. i came up that shido facilitated him the appron if he wants to cook himself, but too bad he doesn't know that akechi can't cook...

sumire: she starts to feel more comfortable living as sumire again, so she wears the glasses back. i left her hairstyle as is, as it has lore. her fit is mostly opposite of kasumi, being more modest. color is from the violet dress she bought with joker in 3rd semester. her appron is... this wasn't really the plan (i think of picture printed appron), but i can't come up with a design yet!!! so i think she'd just have normal appron, but with patterns. kinda looks aunty/mom vibes... i think of the tora shirt she picked with joker. it's pretty mom/aunty vibes and sumire wasn't actually sure when she picked that, but i think she eventually developed a slight interest in those kind of patterns. i'm still considering to change the design, though... not 100% fixed.

sophia: she's a unique case, as her role/game is not cook, but shopper! so she becomes a delivery girl. ichinose came up with her look. so i gave her delivery jacket. her design is the most difficult, as i don't usually like drawing overdecorated anime fits, and how sophia is meant to evoke friendliness according to soejima & kanda, plus keeping her minimalistic aesthetics. then i combined the details it with puffer jackets, while making sure it's not overdecorated and making it as similar as sophia's original shilouette. IMO it became a bit too playful, as i slapped colors that are not in her original design. the blue green red accent is taken from sophia's shop UI. treat it like sophia's shop employee jacket! her footwear is a bit taller and is a shoe now. she's travelling the net, so...

zenkichi: the adults are tricky. they still wear the suit, so i could only change the shirt and tie. zenkichi's design is pretty normal common, even his design uniqueness is logical: when people's shirt button are usually similar colored to the shirt, his is a peculiar black. so i gave him pocket with black lining... he'll mostly be off suit, so there's no problem with suit obscuring pocket. his tie is also off. his appron is new. but because he doesn't know much cooking, he bought an overkill appron, AKA a barista appron with many pockets...

toshiro: i'm not really sure what is his job after P5T... but i assume he still wears suit around. so he wears a pale purple shirt. his tie is still purple, but grid pattern. he doesn't wear gloves anymore too, of course. i don't know toshiro's icon. we need to think that... his appron is plain, simple, and functional. the best that works with his housechores, something he excels at.

bonus contents

i'm thinking of a DLC with another character that have big impact to the story, but also too out of the picture to come back: maruki. i haven't decided how it will be like though. for now, i'm thinking either of these:

a separate day in the story, where you just cook with maruki. no shopping section in this DLC, just cooking and teaching. they both will teach a recipe to each other, and talk a bit more about how's maruki been doing.

a dream section or something? comes down to whether i can come up with a reason to summon the other PT auxes to this story. basically, besides maruki, you can invite 1 more guy from the list of PT auxes to cook with him. so each character will have their own storyline. more on this option:

sumire will be about reflecting their past relationship and how things are now, akechi about 2/2 (but pretending they don't meet, so it fits both who do the akechi and normal versions) and probably shido ties, toshiro and zenkichi about what happened to them in 3rd semester and how they feel when they found out, and sophia about learning maruki's heart research.

i assume toshiro is immune to maruki's influence in a way for now, because erina was born to protect him from godly influence... or maybe because salmael has taken place? i dunno. could be he's not immune either though, if erina's meant to only protect from salmael and not maruki.

hi there! i'm absolutely obsessed with your art with kim's skill checks. i'd absolutely love to know more about how you imagine kim's skills because it's really cool!

Oh wow thank you!! I haven't taken the chance to really think through Kim's skills thoroughly but I do have some thoughts... I'm actually a huge fan of Kim not having skills because of the line saying his conversations take place in his notebook... The idea his inner monologue is just bulletpoints and checklists. But when zaum gives us official stats with his jacket and cargos one can only wonder....

I really like the idea though of Kim's skills having portraits that are less surreal and body-horror esque than Harry's however. Memories, concrete concepts and clichéd visual symbols are what I'm drawn to when i think of visualising them, simply because of the Kim's conceptulization skills are lacking comment. lmao.

Volta do mar is interesting though because the two descriptions we get for it are "A feather on the wind" and "distant enemy of himself". Also u know the whole volta do mar is a travelling technique for boats thing... I mainly used it simply cause its the only phys stat we're aware of and I wanted to make a funny joke but if im honest those two descriptions aren't exactly dismissive of the idea... A skill that would push for Kim to go with the flow could also be a skill that encourages behaviour he'd want to keep under lock and key. I decided to use a plane instead of a boat cause of Kim's childhood dreams of being an aerostatic pilot </3

I did once read a fanfic that gave Kim a paralell stat to Harry's empathy called "compassion" and wowie, I've never stopped thinking about it since. Kim's kindness is one of the driving forces of the game, it would only make sense for him to have a skill like that.

i guess. i suppose there's an element of fate like in a cruel twist of fate way running through the whole saga of the boss, the sorrow, ocelot, snake etc; like when the boss kills the sorrow, neither of them know the other is involved, she doesn't know it's him until they come face to face etc. and they've no choice but for the sorrow to die. star crossed lovers or whatever the hell.

and then in mgs3 its the fuckin. ocelot doesnt even know who the boss is at the start. much less that she's his mother. and he falls in love/is infatuated with snake whilst being totally unaware that snake is later going to kill his mother. thats not exactly fate ig or is it idk what im saying here but like....u know??? its the cruel irony of it all basically. i suppose there's an element of history repeating itself (which is in the wider series a big element ig. never ending cycles.) one must live and one must die, first with the boss + the sorrow and then with the boss + snake.

i suppose in a wider non-bosselot way maybe there's some kind of fate or full-circleness about ocelot in mgs4 being killed by solid snake. i.e. he was born from a snake shaped wound + was eventually killed by a snake. hm. ...

do you have any takes on the shapes and their symbolism? (the ones similar to what was in the bathroom)

of course :) they are some of my favorite symbolism to mess with in petscop and i love to talk about them so i'd be happy to share my thoughts! i affectionately refer to them as "sigils" so i'll probably be calling them that thru out the post lol, under the cut because i can never stop talking

fun fact before we go in ,did you know these symbols predate petscop by roughly a decade? they first appeared in nifty, a game from 2007, by, of course, the guy who made petscop, pressedyes. nifty and petscop don't really have any connection outside of this, but i find it really interesting! it was also one of the most important factors in how we ended up being able to identify with any certainty that tony was actually the guy who made petscop -- people found these videos, noticed that the symbols were the same, tracked down his twitter, and the rest is history. it's also interesting that the "draw mode" function in petscop is activated by typing nifty on the player 1 controller- likely a callback to this earlier work, as the two stories share some loose similarities in subject matter :D ( i havent actually played nifty myself yet... i hope to soon :) )

as for the sigils as they appear in petscop, they're very interesting to me because they correlate to specific rooms (both in the surface and buried games, which draws important paralells that help orient us as viewers in terms of how exactly the demos are playing back and make important thematic connections, as well as helping paul solve some puzzles - you'll notice that the solution to the puzzles in each room correlated by their respective symbol is similar or even directly connected. for example, pen's puzzle is required to be manipulated to find the solution to the care nlm shed, tiara's room solution is similar to that of ambers, and roneth's room puzzle solution is the same as the one on the road outside of the house -- these rooms are all connected through their sigils), which in turn correlate to specific pets, which in turn correlate to specific family members. I've made a couple charts on this matter, which i'll be supplying with commentary :) some of these connections are relatively straightforward, like the following:

this tile appears in wavey and randices room, which correlates it to either wavey and randice and therefore either rainer and marvin ( i can go into why these pet to family member paralells are a thing if you dont know but thats for a seperate post -- feel free to ask if you want to know) . we already kind of knew that the mark family bathroom was related somehow to this room in even care (rainer died here and his little death elegy bathroom-tomb specifically shows this even care room as its associated visual in the ost) so this doesn't provide a whole lot of new imformation besides setting a precedent for how you can use the sigils to draw parallels with places, pets, and characters. ive chosen to pair this symbol with rainer and wavey, but you could certainly make the argument that it has more to do with marvin, because the bathroom is of significance to both characters and randice is in wavey's room too lol.

a little less straightforward, this tile appears in tiara and amber's rooms respectively, drawing paralells between the pet and belle. not much else to be said here , but i find it interesting because otherwise there really isn't much information you could use to connect belle and amber -- the sigils are pretty much the only indication we have that these two characters are related in any way. however, when you do make that ocnnection, Shit Just Starts To Make Sense.

You get to start linking text like this to belle and it #hurts.

the sigil in pen's room is a similar case, where we don't really have any other evidence to suggest care and pen are linked at all outside of the room paralells -- and the room paralells are entirely drawn by the sigil itself. in the prior two cases, the rooms share some similarity in shape, but that isnt the case here at all. we only know these locations are connected because of the sigil! ( i think this is a lot because of the fact that there is a piano in pens room + cares connection to pianos but that is a digression for another time)

then things get a little less "helpful" in terms of the connections the sigils make:

The sigil in roneth's room draws a connection to the road in the buried game, which might serve to explain why Roneth's pet description text is concerning roads, but it also casts some additional confuson on exactly what roneth is meant to represent (as if roneth's correlated family member ((if there even is one)) isnt confusing enough on itself...) (because of this , i tend to associate this symbol with mike, because mike has the strongest connection to both roads and roneth, but again, thats not much of anything!)

likewise, i associate toneth with this sigil because toneth is apparently a painter, the sigil appears in the room that contained an easel in the earliest demos of the game, and the sigil block appears immediately before marvin realized toneth is in his collection in petscop 20. this one is a bit contentious too, but i tend to associate this symbol with lina because it looks like a gravestone and is connected to toneth, who has some loose connections to lina. no puzzles or anything here.

there's also a room correlation that doesnt have a specific pet associated in the odd-care block - the sigil itself seems to portray the testing rooms at the school, but there's really not much else to be said about it.

In terms of why they were included in the game by rainer, the only guess i can make is that they were probably intended as hints to puzzle solutions between the two planes, as explained earlier . as for why they were included in the webseries by tony, i do really believe they're meant to connect characters to pets and rooms to eachother. so they're really fun to think about! i hope this was informative : ) i use these all over in my petscop art and its the main evidence for why im drawing paralells between pen and care and belle and amber respectively, so i hope that this added something to your understanding of the series, or at least helped you understand my understanding of it? yea : ) thanks for asking

Going on with this thread, which I would call “Reasons why Jeronica is just the best dang thing”:

7) They are (more) aesthetically pleasing. This is really subjective and also kinda unfair, I can for sure give you that, but just putting them close to each other makes a strong impression on screen. Their matching colors and outfits, as well as their body types give a nice harmony to the picture. The visual response is something that can’t really be controlled, since it’s encoded really deeply in the human mind - specifically in the heteronormative sexuality. Tall boy & small girl always works as a pairing because it’s what our eyes perceive as typically masculine and typically feminine. On top of that, the fact that except for height, there is not much of a difference between their body types and their colors, makes for a beautiful visual harmony. Which is the same reason why Barchie, also, looks better. I know: it sounds really crude, but I don’t make the rules. In my course of study I had the chance to study this kind of things with close attention, and I can assert that some visual instincts cannot really be controlled since they are so deeply rooted: the studios know this kind of stuff, and they usually exploit it for the pictures they produce. 

8) Outsiders. Veronica and Jughead have always been the ones looking from the outside. She is the new girl, while he is the guy from the wrong side of the tracks. Most of Jughead’s life was spent looking at this all american, dreamy like characters that are Betty and Archie. He is aware of the fact that he doesn’t belong to that pastel colored world of suburban terraced houses. His existance feels almost parasitical, from his voyeuristic point of view, given by the role of narrator that he takes upon himself. At the same time, Veronica doesn’t belong either. She comes from the big city and also from a mob family. That idealized lifestyle it’s just not fit for her. And I really like the fact that, even if Jug and V come from such a different background, they are both children of a world that is more real, more crude. They have this qualities of fighters and survivors that create another psychological affinity between them.

9) Elective Affinities. Now, this might take long, but stay with me. “Elective Affinities” is a beautiful novel by the famous german writer Goethe. I call it into consideration simply because I think that the core 4 and their spot in Riverdale somehow mirrors this tale. The plot of the book is simple: we have a couple and two guests. We have a marriage between two people who are not well mixed together. So the coming in action of the two guests breaks their relationship and creates different pairs. The philosophy of the story goes back to Empedocles, who said: "people who love each other mix like water and wine; people who hate each other segregate like water and oil.". Taking a step forward, we get to the chemical concept of elective affinity. In chemistry, this means that the bond between two elements can be broken by the intrusion of a third. In this way, one of the two jointed element “chooses” to step away from the former link and form another one with the new comer, simply because of a better affinity. I won’t get too deep into the book because it would need so much time and a lot of unnecessary work that doesn’t resonate with Riverdale. However, the concept is simple: opposites might attract, but there’s always a line. There has to be a connection between people, in order for them to function as couples. We talk about temper, about goals, about background, values and lifestyles. The characters that Archie and Betty embody clash in a harsh and jarring way with the ones embodied by Jughead and Veronica. While for Barchie and Jeronica we can talk about sides of the same coin, for B*ghead and V*rchie we are putting together cash and coins. Yeah, I guess they are still money, but that’s where the resemblance stops. 

10) What works in real life doesn’t necessarily work on the screen (and viceversa). I can’t stress this enough. Yeah, we could see B*ghead and V*rchie as healthy couples (kinda, maybe - I have my reservations about it, but ok)..that doesn’t mean that they are interesting to watch. I don’t know, watching Riverdale is starting to feel like watching a tv show about my best friend and her boyfriend: yeah, they are cute, they work perfectly together, but do I want to watch them on tv? No sir, it would be boring as hell. Peeling away the murders, the investigations and the weird Riverdale mysteries, we all know a B*ghead kind of couple in our lives. Do we know a Jeronica? No. Do we know a Romeo and a Juliet? Also no. But hey, if they are an iconic couple for centuries, maybe there’s a reason to why it is so. Movies, tv shows and books have this escapist quality, this possibility of making everything seem real even if we talk about something that would never be possible in real life. Let’s face it: we would all avoid hanging out with an angsty couple, but somehow we love to see that on tv. It’s just more passionate, more intriguing. I don’t know, everytime I see B*ghead I see me and my boyfriend eating pizza in our sweatpants on the sofa. That’s love, but it would make for a really bad tv show. We should start facing the fact that tv and cinema are not made to necessarily teach us something: we shouldn’t seek life lessons in a teen drama, or even a realistic portrait of life. It’s made for entertainment, that’s it, and entertainment means also creating drama and mixing up couples just for the hell of it.

11) This will be quick, but Jeronica has in them the potential of every classic best selling couple. I’m talking about Elizabeth and Mr Darcy in “Pride and Prejudice”, about Romeo and Juliet, Han and Leia in “Star Wars”, Jack and Rose in “Titanic”. There’s a tention in this narratives, that always works. Why? Because there’s some kind of conflict going on between two people who have a similar mindset. We are encoded to like this kind of stories and every writer knows it, that’s why they keep selling and moving people even tho they’ve seen it a hundred times. And that’s why I’m mad at Riverdale’s writers: because they know (and it shows), but they keep safe betting on an off screen couple, sacrificing the narrative purpose of their work.

i mean. it’s sweet. but this is not steve.

I think i’ve talked enough about my dislike of the direction steve’s character went in in this film. that was the major point of dislike for me, but given that the council has made a stupid ass decision i’ve elected to ignore it. i understand that both tony and steve had to make their exist from the franchise here, but.... there were better ways to go about that. 

i think a few different relationships slipped through the cracks here- characters suddenly grieving people they haven’t seen in /years/ and completely ignoring others who only recently died was a big one for me. but other characters saw a lot of development- nebula was a favourite of mine in this film, which i was not expecting! she and rhodey made a really good team- i feel like they understand one another. 

the Original Six all saw a decent amount of screen time, which i appreciated. nobody got left behind there. there were so many references to other films that i know i didn’t catch them all, but it really made this movie seem like a love letter to the fans. 

i want to make it clear that i actually loved most of this film. i think it was a good send off for the avengers and i love a good time travel plot (like, it’s one of my all-time favourite tropes. i was vibrating with excitement in the theater during the 2012 scenes.) i went in expecting a lot of the emotion to be sidelined in favor of plot and action, and while that happened a little bit, i was overall pleasantly surprised with the amount of emotion that they fit into this film. characterization and emotion is perhaps even more important to me than a good plot, and this film got the emotion down.

 it’s definitely not a perfect film but it could have been so much worse, so i’m grateful that we got a good sendoff for the avengers.

I love the heartbreaking visual, but I hope the Reylo plot has more of the reverse Anidala themes. The Corleone family story is so tragic and I barely would call the 3rd film a reunion for Michael and Kay. I interpreted the door shutting on Kay as losing hope for their relationship. By this time in their relationship Michael had a secret marriage (maybe we can compare this to Rey’s closeness to Finn prior to meeting Kylo Ren). When they reunite, Michael has reluctantly taken over the mantel of Don after his father’s death. Michael and Kay marry, have two children, and Kay converts to Catholicism to pray for Michael’s soul. Ben Solo is a reluctant Kylo Ren, avoiding the Light, Rey is a reluctant Jedi, still searching for her family. When Michael shuts the door, they are already married with children and he does not want her involved in the business. Rey chooses the Resistance over Ben, as he cannot change now, shutting the door on their relationship (for now). The direct Reylo paralell ends a bit here.

For the rest of the Corleone family: the second film is were Michael continues to lose his family as he grows more powerful, Fredo’s death, his mother’s death, and Kay disclosing that her miscarriage of their third child was actually an abortion. The couple ends their marriage and Kay can no longer see their children.

Godfather III: Kay has remarried and attends a party where Michael is receiving some high honors from the Vatican. She insults Michael, but softens when he allows their son, Anthony, to leave college and have an opera career instead of taking over the family business. Michael’s nephew, Vincent, takes over the family business, but, unfortunately, Vincent falls for Michael and Kay’s daughter, Mary. Michael suffers a stroke, Kay admits she is still in love with him. They begin to rekindle their romance. Michael goes to Confession (with one of the Cardinals who may become the next Pope) asking for forgiveness. Michael and Kay go rekindle their relationship as they await Anthony’s opera debut in Palermo. There is a beautiful scene were Michael and Kay dance and he remembers dancing with Kay at various times and dancing with his first wife before her murder. At the night of the opera, Michael and Kay reconciled, but Mary dies in an assassination attempt against Michael. It’s implied that Kay leaves Michael again as he dies alone years later in the final scene.

If we want to take the Godfather imagery to the next level. We have:

 -Kylo Ren following his grandfather’s legacy/Michael joining the family business.

-Kylo Ren reaches towards the Light/Michael dates Kay to try and be more Americanized

-Kylo Ren rejects Rey’s offer to join the Resistance/Michael lies to Kay about trying to make the Corleone business legitimate

-Kylo kills his father/ Michael has his brother Fredo assassinated

-Kylo Ren becomes Supreme Leader/Michael becomes Don and continues to grow more powerful, further disregarding Kay’s requests

-Rey insulting Kylo Ren and rejecting his offer in the throne room/Kay confesses her abortion

-”Let the past die, kill it, if you have to.. You’re still holding” from Kylo Ren asking Rey to move forward, while still clinging to the First Order/ “I know now that it's over. I knew it then. There would be no way, Michael... no way you could ever forgive me not with this Sicilian thing that's been going on for 2,000 years.” Kay choosing to move forward and end their marriage as a rejection of the mafia. Michael, despite his claims, will always be linked to the mob.

-Rey closes the door as a rejection of Kylo Ren and her loyalty to the Resistance and not giving him information/ Michael closes the door, rejecting his wife, showing his loyalty to the family and not giving Kay information.

With the Godfather imagery, Reylo should continue the reversal and strengthening of their relationship. The Godfather is essentially the destruction of the Corleone Family, starting with Michael and Kay dating, and the slow burn of the family dying as Michael becomes more powerful. Michael is told he can be redeemed and Kay takes him back,  but everything is in vain as his daughter dies and he will ultimately die alone, with Kay rejecting him again. Since the Sequel Trilogy started with a rocky meeting and only grew, hopefully we will have the development of a relationship, not it’s destruction.

So clearly the gameplay looks intriguing. Yet I can't help but want to explore the top-down dungeon-crawler. The world and the main character remind me somewhat of Captain Jack Sparrow. Since the whole experience has that vibe. The Adventures of Capitano Navarro will hit Steam with the price of just $2.99 USD. ‘Technically’ speaking there are a lot of differences in the dominant functions (i/e) between them but you already got a lot of answers on that. So I’ll answer what I know from the practical side:

I am an INFJ female and I’ve been dating an INFP male (this sounds like mammals but ok). We have a lot in common: we are both very kind and want others to feel good. However we discovered that he wants others to feel good so he doesn’t feel bad whereas I want others to feel good because it makes me happy (there is a difference there). He feels guilty a lot when something he says or thinks hurts someone eventhough it could be something he stands behind. I only feel guilty if I could’ve said or done something better and already knew in the moment I was doing it but weren’t able to adjust myself. He sees the positive in things, I tend to be afraid of the negatives. I am more serious, he is more playfull. I stick to my beliefs he sticks to his routines. I generally talk less, he talks for both of us. He can say something one moment and think about it differently the next. I only speak about what I think when I’m 100% sure about it. He’ll change his mind in hours, I never change my mind. We are both stubborn as HELL. He gets really mad sometimes but gets over it quick, I get passive agressive and remain so for days. After a fight he wants to cuddle, I want space. He knows exactly what he is feeling and why. It takes me a lot of alone time and sometimes weeks to know what I’m feeling and why and what I should do about it. Once I know however I can easily talk about my feelings, he findes it difficult to talk about them. I plan EVERYTHING, he loves options. We both generally don’t like socializing but he can enjoy parties once in a while whilst I can enjoy being in crowdes places (but being left alone). He hates spending money, I can spent a lot when I think something is worth it. We have creative fights a lot (we both work overlapping creative jobs), he thinks I don’t trust his professionality and I think he doesn’t understand what I am visualizing. When we talk I’m more into pinpointing it down and drawing conclusions, he will explore different sides to a topic. We both love people most of the time. When we hate them it’s because (I) lost trust in them and (he) got hurt by them. We both feel really misunderstood, I want to be understood and understand how the world functions with me in it, he enjoys being a special little snowflake. We both have a cognitive paralel world we live in. He travels there in his dreams (probably the reason he hates to wake up in the morning and it can take him hours), I live there all the time (probably the reason I jump out of bed in the morning). I love doing new things, he loves doing the things he likes over and over again. We both love animals and cute things. We both cry a lot (I cry a lot for a woman, he cries “a lot” for a man). We both can have random burtst of ideas. He likes to admire them from a distance I’ll say ‘let’s go get there!’. I have very little stuff and am very tidy, he keeps things from years ago and forgets where he put them. When he’s happy he can get very childish, when I am happy I let my funny side out. We both love intelligent humor, we both pick up on things other people miss. We both have a strong sense of what’s right and wrong although he’ll usually commit and I usually just drop people that have values that don’t align with mine. He’s better in seing the overall pictures, I’ll get stuck on details. He is sweet, I am caring. Metaphorically speaking he is probably like a disillusioned honey bee and I’m more like a serious butterfly ;-)

There is probably a lot more, but these are some of the things we come across in our daily lives. Hope this gives you an insight in INFJ/INFP-ness ;-)
