genuinely having a blast playing Dragon's Dogma 2! seeing all the weirdly bad reviews screaming about frame rate had me worried but I've yet to have an issue. and also I really don't care if my battles jump down to 30fps during major battles.

it definitely reads to me as a lot of dude bros being upset about the smallest thing.

literally every person I've talked to that's playing it hasn't had any issues.

I’ve been playing a lot of potion permit lately and i have some thoughts

This game rocks it’s super cute and fun

I don’t THINK Rue is supposed to be as young as people think she is. I get her being a romance target. Like story wise it makes sense. but. like. even her tarot card looks so young. So like. again i don’t think it’s the intention of the devs to have a child romance target. she just. she’s just small. i think that’s the intent. but still it’s. odd

Also why can’t I date Lucke. Or Runeheart. or Dev i like Dev

I absolutely adore every character. they’re all so well designed and cute. even if i tend to give all my mooncloves to Victor and Dev.

I really like the combat resource collection portion of the game. I like how you can use any tool as a weapon with pros and cons to each. like that was so well thought out. adore it

I wish the romance system went like. beyond just one date then boom you’re done. maxed out. let me do more. please. i’m begging. i know there’s more dates. but. like. more pls.

But yeah!! overall!! really loving it. My autistic ass rotates through ‘cozy games’ to hyper fixate on and Potion Permit is a great addition to that list lol even if i have some problems with it i still recommend

Why do I ship/ note ship it?

Okay so this one is kinda iffy for me. I DO like Nile and Kyoya’s dynamic— ESPECIALLY in the art and headcanons I see on tumblr, but it’s not one that I get really hyped up about. Like yes— it can work and it is very nice and wholesome, however for me I’ve never seen it that way inside the show that would make me REALLY ship it. I recently started to rewatch the series after falling out of it and so far I’ve only just seen their interactions in Masters, and pretty much all of that is just Nile trying to convince Kyoya not to kill himself fighting Gingka, and then Kyoya of course is like ‘fuck you’ and does it anyway without really listening to Nile’s concerns. Now I could have a different opinion of this after I get catch up with Fury, however I know there interactions are short so I don’t know if my opinion will change much.

What could make me like the ship more?/ what is my favorite thing about the ship?

I think if maybe Kyoya went to therapy and got his obsession with being the strongest and he learns how to deal with this anger issues THEN i could see it working. I just think that where Kyoya was at in the show with the whole ‘best blader’ thing really rubbed Nile the wrong way because they argued a lot, and I just don’t like that with my ships. Nile is calm, but I think he is someone who doesn’t like to constantly take shit from others because what others say DOES bother them to an extent, and with Kyoya’s track record of being a huge prick, I think it would really start to bother him. I just don’t think it would really work out in canon. HOWEVER—- In the land of TUMBLR AND BEYBLADE HC’s it would tOTally work. One thing I love about this fandom is that everyone agrees that these kids would really benefit from talking about their feelings and going to therapy and being a healthier person for themselves and other and they reflect those ideas of self betterment onto their stories and hcs. I see ALOT of that with Kyoya ships in particular— and hOnestly I’m SO HERE FOR IT. The fanart I see is sO CUTE. The HC’s of like them doing like training days and then going out to a nice dinner afterwards where they can look at the stars and how they both talk about how much they love playing rock music are SO DEAR TO ME YOU HAVE NO IDEA. THAT’S one of the reasons why I have stayed with the ship, even though I have conflicting feelings about it from a canon stand point of view.

Honestly I’m not sure how to tie this up because dAmn, there is a lot of unpack here and I am staying up late as is. Overall, I’m very conflicted about the ship but this fandom does make me love it so, so yeah.
