Do you have any tips on how to better connect with your guides?

I have not personally done a lot of work here as I'm still defining what I think a guide means in my practice. Some say that any metaphysical entity could be a guide, such as spirits angels, daemons, or even deities.

That being said, I imagine for most it's very similar to any other type of spirit work.

I'd suggest checking out @windvexer and @crazycatsiren as they both have plenty of posts on spirit work! <:

Is Shamanism even closed? Specifically Chumash or any other Shamanistic practices that also involve poisoning via Datura and Opium?

I am not an expert on this topic but I know enough to tell you that no white person should be calling themselves a "shaman."

The word "shaman" is not just some generic term for "spirit worker" or whatever. It's been appropriated from certain groups of people in Asia.

WHO: To join this challenge you must 1.) identify as a hag (trans, non-binary, and dude Hags welcome!), and 2.) be 30 years or older. While not mandatory, all former participants have been some flavor of pagan or witch or Christian, so incorporating the challenge into your practice or devotional schedule isn't just tolerated, it's encouraged!

WHAT: This month we're going for a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' theme, with a focus on the rituals, workings, customs, festivities, and/or sabbat spectacles of Witches' Night [aka Walpurgisnacht & Hexennacht], Beltane, May Day, and International Workers' Day.

WHERE: In the convenience of your home! Unless, of course, you want to be a bit extra. Whatever you decide to do, and wherever you decide to do it, be sure to tag your posts with #Hagging Out so fellow crones can follow along. (Over the past few years we've essentially strong-armed everyone else out of the tag and claimed it as our middle-aged Hag fort, LMFAO.)

I think regardless of region/culture/mythology, demons are not to be messed with just for the fun of it.

Like, people will "summon demons" for lols and then be shocked when whatever it is thoroughly fuck up their lives.

Yeah! I mean, pestering anyone (demon, fae, other human, et cetera) just for the heck of it is likely to tick anyone off.

I know that I get irritated when my sister comes into my room and just...stands there and stares at me without telling me what she wants. And when I go "What's up?" or "What do you want?" (snappiness level depends on the day), she just turns around and leaves without a word. It's fucking creepy.

And I imagine that being summoned or heckled by a human for no reason is quite similar to that experience. In that scenario, I don't blame the summoned entity (usually demon because of wannabe ghost hunters) for deciding to fuck things up while they're there.
