Finding your future baby

Lucifer

He was doing paperwork in his office and you wanted to see how he was doing. The trek from your room to his office was long, both on the opposite end of the house. Passing the main staircase, you saw movement on the top steps.

A baby, slowly, carefully crawling their way up the stairs. You were in shock, there's at least 20 steps there. The poor thing makes it to the very top, hands on the floor and knees on the last step before it and slumped forward. Clad in a cute little onesie, they laid sprawled out for a moment.

You stood there, not sure what to do, when they pushed themselves back up and crawled up that last step, now fully on the 2nd floor. They wiggled and maneuvered themselves onto their back and stared at the ceiling. He had to have been exhausted! You walk over quietly and peer down at him. When he sees you he reaches his arms up. He makes grabby hands when you don't pick him up immediately and makes a noise behind his pacifier, almost like an annoyed grunt.

You pick him up carefully, unsure who he belonged to or if he'd be fussy. But he just gripped your shirt in his squishy little hand and curled up into your chest.

He's asleep immediately, so you bring him to Lucifer. What else could you think to do. When you knock, the baby picks his head up before blinking away sleep. You talk through the door before you open it.

"Lucifer? I'm coming in, but don't freak out or anything." Of course now you've made him worry, and seeing you walk in with a dark haired infant definitely wasn't what he was expecting.

"..Who is this?" You give him a look that says "how am I supposed to know?“

You make your way to the couch and sit. The baby refuses to let go of your shirt. He glares the more you try to pull him away. When Lucifer sits beside you the baby reaches out to him with a gurgled whine.

Lucifer supposes it can't be too bothersome to just hold the little guy. But the moment he touches Lucifers gloveless hand, magic stirs around them.

The baby pops little horns. Small, but they very obviously curl the way Lucifer's do. They stare at each other for a moment, unblinking, before Lucifer sets him down on the couch with a sigh.

"He has to be mine. There's no way he isn't." He puts his face in his hands and groans. When he peers over at you and sees the look on your face he quickly recovers. "Not currently!" His eyes widen before he clears his throat. "We can talk to Barbatos to be sure but it isn't too far a stretch to assume one of my brothers did something that brought the poor thing to this time."

He picks up the baby who reaches for his face. "They've messed with time and brought things from the future before, but it's never been a living thing." The baby reaches for you again and when he has his little hand wrapped around your finger he squeals. He makes such a big smile it's hard to imagine the glare he held a few minutes ago.

"And I hope not to scare you…but he's probably yours, too.”

You're not involved with any of the brothers, but Lucifer is the one you hold deep feelings for. But you haven't told him. You try not to look scared as you look back up at him. His gaze softens and a smile comes to his lips.

"I can promise you you're the only one l'd ever want a family with."

Leviathan

You heard crying. Very loud crying. Not the kind that’s just some sniffles and whines, but the kind that sounded like it could rupture eardrums. It startled you out of a nap, and after searching for any of the brothers, you realize you were home alone. You couldn’t find the source for a good few minutes. It sounded like it was coming from everywhere.

You found them in a bathroom. A baby sitting, rubbing their eyes, wailing. He sounded terrified. A pacifier hung from a clip on his onesie but it was very obviously unused. You creaked the door open slowly but they noticed almost instantly. Their big watery (e/c) eyes look up at you and immediately they’re up standing up and moving to you.

His arms shot up and his crying continued. He was shifting between his two feet, stomping to keep himself up right, and making grabby hands at you. When you knelt to pick him up his crying quieted but he still shook like a leaf. His face was all wet when he tucked his head in your neck.

You didn’t know where to take him, again, you were home alone. You walked the path to your room and you were right by the door when he started wailing again. He began squirming and as you tried to steady your hold, you noticed he was reaching for something.

He was looking into the kitchen and when you followed his gaze you noticed something on the floor. A pile of white fabric on the floor. The closer you got to it the more frantic his grabby hands became. It’s a baby blanket, but a very special one. It’s a lamb, having the head and arms of a plush lamb but the body being a blanket.

His hands grasped it gently and brought it to his face, nuzzling it with his little nose and rosy cheeks. He finally calmed completely, falling asleep in your arms as well. The poor thing must be so tired.

“Omg…who is that?!” You turn quickly to see Asmo, hands over his mouth. He walks over giddily and fawns over the infant. “Ohh look at him! He’s so precious! He looks just like Levi did as a baby! Well, from the pictures I had seen way back when.” He then gasps and pulls your arm lightly. “We have to show everyone!”

He then drags you to the living room where several other brothers are sitting. They’d all returned home in the last few minutes. “Guys guys guys! Look!” Asmo steps aside and let’s his brothers see you, standing there nervously, holding the baby. Everyone looks up but Levi. After a moment, Satan nudges him and he looks up.

He’s startled out of his seat at the sight of the infant. He scrambled upright and walked to you, ushering you into the hallway away from the others. “Where…where did you…” The baby’s eyes fluttered open and he stared at Levi, who softly brushed his finger to his cheek almost in a daze.

“He was just…in a bathroom, crying. You should’ve heard it, I could hear it every where, it never got quieter or louder when I looked for him.” Levi’s face flushes bright red. When Levi’s finger lingered too long in front of the babies mouth, the baby went to bite him. You hear someone clear their throat behind you.

“That sounds a lot like Levi when he was younger.” Levi groans as you turn to see Lucifer. He walks foreword and looks at the infant as he speaks. “Probably the siren blood in him.” When you look to Levi confused he grumbles. “They don’t have to know that.”

Lucifer chuckles softly and turns to the door. “I’ll get barbatos. Oh, and, not to alarm you, but he probably belongs to you two.”
