A mushroom I recently made. I'm exhibiting my work at a local gallery right now and I've had a lot of time to create while guarding the exhibit.

New piece! Am calling her “Skör” (fragile in Swedish).
Assembled from strips of lace, a doily, and some fiddly needle lace and crochet for the teeth. Starched with diluted wood glue.
Perfect in time for Halloween!

Indonesian fiber artist Mulyana has taken over the Fisher Museum of Art with colorful, hand-knitted and crocheted aquatic life.
With the duality of life and death as a recurring theme, Mulyana crafts a tactile, mystical world in which fish, whales, and coral reefs coexist with sea monsters and slow states of decay.
Read Renée Reizman’s review of Mulyana: Modular Utopia.

Someone brought this up on instagram, so now I'm curious how things overlap.
There is no "I just like answering polls" option here because, as a good scientist, I don't want to deal with junk data. Please reblog for a larger sample size!

Countdown to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries: Day 709
Wanda: “I’m learning how to crochet!”
Agatha: “The hex is gone, but I see the tendencies of the 1950s housewife remain - so, what’ve you made?
Wanda: “Hey, crochet is for anyone! But look - I made a scarf! I gave to Y/N to wear in the cold”
Y/N: *holds up the “scarf” that’s made of mostly unraveled yarn* “isn’t she so creative?”
Y/N: *whispers threateningly to Agatha* “say anything remotely spirit-crushing and I’ll shave Señor Scratchy for yarn”
Agatha: “Wow Wanda! This looks great!”

My piece for StreamINK 2023 prompt eyes. I know it’s plural but I only have so much time 😅 I crocheted this giant eye pillow out of glow in the dark chenille, except for the pupil and the nerves on the back. The different colors absorb light and glow differently so it gives a really cool effect and I had fun planning that out!
