Best concert and worst concert?

Worst was Crown The Empire for a friend's birthday. The performance itself was great but where we went up on the balcony this creepy ass grown man fuckin hick was right next to me swinging his arms back and forth waayyyy too close to my thighs and when I moved closer to my friend he moved closer to me.. he did all this with a LIT cigarette in his hand closest to me I thought he was gonna burn with me it I wanted to fucking cry I was like 13 btw. The ride there nd back (it was out of state) with her cousin was so fun and hilarious. It was better than the concert to me by a long shot. So it wasn't all bad. But concert itself..not super fun. Also apparently I wasn't allowed to go? Which my mother didn't make clear to me at all. So that was wild.

Best was The Bunny The Bear with a guy I had such a weird thing going with. Had a megaaaa crush on him. He was 2 grades above me and super into me. Super emo. I thought he was like unbearably attractive. And the concert itself- my God it was ethereal. This was back when the bear was a girl in like 2014 maybe 2015 I think. And let me tell you what their voices together in stage were amazing. I could still feel it. To this day. Forever. Their performance of Aisle was chillingly beautiful..

and the disturbed version of ‘the sound of silence’ is awesome and dark and haunting and beautiful and powerful, don’t lie to me this way. yes, i feel incredibly strongly about this.

Oh man! It's backstory time!! The story of Lambren and the previous god of life.

Heavily based off of Superstar by CrownTheEmpire and duuudes as good as it is with headphones, it cannot compare to hearing it live in concert like I was able to recently. Every artist in The Deathless Tour was incredible but I digress.

Behold!

Once upon a time, a long long time ago. The god of life found herself without a mortal vessel through which to impart her teachings. Disciples of her faith moved from village to village in hopes to find someone compatible enough to potentially become the next vessel of the god of life.

Enter one young Lambren, just a child, whose family was poor but not so poor that they did not have a home and small but not so small that Lambren was an only child.

Lambren's compatibility with the magic that Prev wielded was astounding, far surpassing that which her last vessel was capable of.

So, disciples of the god of life promised Lambren's family a comfortable life if only they could take this one little lamb.

"Your child is destined for the highest of honors," they said and Lambren's family let the disciples spirit Lambren away to the main temple for the god of life.

It was not even a year of teaching when they bestowed the crown upon Lambren's little brow. Lambren surpassed all expectations. They were a natural in all ways of the magic of life.

Now, one thing to know about the main temple of the god of life. It was situated at the center of a large city where many people lived. This meant while many people worked and slept and lived their lives diligent and busy, just as many danced and lazed about or stole from others to keep themselves fed.

Lambren grew up in the lap of luxury in a city of chaos and transition and they thrived on it.

But Prev disapproved of all things chaotic. Lambren tried to follow how Prev laid out their duties but life magic craves chaos and as such, the sheep was drawn back into the chaos of the city again and again.

It seemed like it was just another night where Prev caught them coming back late from the city and would spend hours scolding Lambren.

But this time was different. For you see, it had dawned upon Prev at the last ritual of spring renewal, that Lambren had become stronger...Their powers surpassing Prev's own.

She feared for the day that Lambren would realize it. That was something she could not plan for. It was an unknown.

In all of her rather finite wisdom she made a plan to be rid of Lambren.

So, on this night, she listed out every way that Lambren was unworthy as her vessel. Then she took back the crown and teleported Lambren to the outer wilds, a land where raiders and cannibals and monsters of old roamed free.

Prev wanted Lambren dead, but did not wish to let the other gods see her as someone petty or vengeful. She had crafted an image of a kind and benevolent god after all.

But Lambren refused to die. They fought tooth and nail to scrape up any remnants of Life's magic. They were born with a great aptitude, surely there had to be a way outside of the crown to use it.

They knew what the magic felt like. They'd been living and breathing these spells for most of their childhood. It was only a matter of time before they figured out how to tap into their connection with it.

With magic back in hand, hard earned and fought for, Lambren forged connections and power through a following of their own. They found, that like a god, one could draw power from devotion if they knew what that felt like and were no longer entirely mortal.

They burned with rage towards the god who so callously threw them aside, who stole everything from them as a small child, shaped them into this perfect follower and vessel, then took everything away because they were not exactly like her. Because they had ideas.

The temple was all they had ever known, vesselhood all they'd ever been taught. Then Prev didn't even have the mercy to end them right then and there.

She left them alive and Lambren became determined to make that her problem.

It took time, as all great revenge plots do. But finally, the day came where Lambren walked back through the doors of the main temple of the god of life.

Rivers of blood flowed in the temple of life as they never had before. Lambren slaughtered their way to Prev's door. What few guards the temple employed were pitifully lacking and the followers were killed just to gain her attention.

She would see them coming and she would know her mistakes.

Prev would know fear.

I would like to take this moment to inform you, Lambren never wanted Prev's place. In fact, they did not really expect to survive their encounter with the god of life, but rot festered beneath the skin and though Lambren could not see it, Prev's power was slowly slipping away.

The more it slipped away, the more frantically she tried to control things. The more she tried to strictly control the magic of life, the more her power slipped away. But even then, she had not lost much power.

Lambren found theirself standing victorious over Prev's dying form. An outcome that could have been so easily avoided. If Prev had retired Lambren and taken them in as her trusted guard, the lamb would have remained complacent and content. If Prev had simply killed Lambren, they would not be standing over her now.

So many choices that would have led to a future where Prev would remain alive and she chose the one that is her downfall.

Such is the folly of those who react badly to those with a proficiency better than their own.

This is definitely not a kids story but I can absolutely see Lambren telling this to the children of the cult.
