The Terror does make me think of my crust punk days, and primarily because a Zegota show also featured crowds of unwashed young men with utopian ideas dancing homoeroticly in an obvious fire trap, but also because reverse scurvy was as common a problem in the crust punk world as real scurvy was for the Franklin Expedition. An example: we once visited some friends who, through shenanigans, had access to a genuinely unlimited supply of Odwalla juices and smoothies. When we left, they gave us enough Odwalla juice to fill the trunk of my Chevy cavalier and somewhere on the PA turnpike, someone mention the extreme color of her pee, causing us to do the math on the empty bottles and realize that we’d consumed 7-8,000 times the recommended dose of vitamin c that morning. Fundamentally the opposite of life on the HMS Terror.

@roaddawg666 is a one-of-a-kind alien from another planet. There is no one in the world like him. We at Blackhouse HQ dare to even refer to him as a "Him", but more of just an environmental force of nature that commands everything in it's immediate orbit. This loveable mutant has driven, tour managed, and roadied for a ton of heavy hitters among the trap and hip-hop world, such as Slug Christ, Nacho Picasso, Chxpo, Juice Wrld, Lil Tracy, Fish Narc, Lil Wop, Afro Man, Blowfly, Avatar Darko, Keyboard Kid, Kirblagoop, Ras Kass, Avitwat, FDM Grady, Crimewave, the list goes on and on.

RoadKill "Suffering Builds Character" is his newest solo endeavor, pulling no punches. It is pure relentless heaviness pulling from his grindcore and poweviolence influences from years past and present. The 'Dawg delivers a crushing debut full length release showcasing what one could only assume would be the absolute manic chaos that plays out in his head from the moment he wakes up until he DECIDES to sleep. It's a well thought-out, calculated, and endearing crash of fevered riff-delivery with social commentary that speaks to the current trash state of world affairs.

Dismember - Like an Ever Flowing Stream

This album wasn’t at all what I was expecting! I really thought this would be a kinda standard old school death metal album with some fun riffs and cool moments, but ultimately something I’ll usually pass over to listen to my personal favs, but what I got was something different.

Yes, it’s definitely old school death metal in the vein of Autopsy and Morbid Angel but what really stands out to me with this record is the guitar solos and the vocals. Starting with the solos these things are Epic with a capital fucking E. A lot of death metal solos can fall into the “look how fast I can play” trap. Now that can be super impressive of course, but in general, I’d take a well constructed high intensity high melody solo over the guitar equivalent of button mashing any fucking day. And. Every. Fucking. Song. Has one of these amazing solos. Genuinely such a treat to listen to this guy shred.

The vocals also, to me, are way more clear and almost crust punk esc in their performance. You can really hear everything the guy is saying and the performance itself has a nice bit of melody to it. It’s not just a guy screaming. It’s super well integrated and well thought out.

On top of that, the drumming and bass playing also fuck and hold their own, and rhythm guitar does a great job at supporting the overall picture! Fucking pleasant ass surprise!

I love music; punk/crust/dbeat/punkmetal/deathmetal/doom/grindcore/noise/satanicrap/trap/hiphop & alot of genres on the in-between.

I am 33 yrs old, in a 4yr relationship & have a handsome cat named Roo.

I love taking care of my houseplants, taking a mean bong rip, and my self care routines...

I'm an opiate addict in recovery, but do not participate in any functions like NA or the sorts.

I made this tumblr for a specific reason -a safe place to express my more personal concerns- regarding my sobriety from opiates as well as relationship issues/advice. I don't have many people in my life I am comfortable confiding in about such things, so I thought maybe I might find some relief here.

6. Which playlist do you frequent the most? Probably the Punk Mix that Spotify makes for me on a daily basis, because it's the only playlist where I can hear pop punk, skate punk, hardcore, street punk, and crust punk, and crossover thrash all on one playlist. Without bothering to make my own, I guess.

13. What's your longest playlist? I think it's my "Skate playlist" at about 4,000 songs. These are the songs I skateboard to. It's punk, alt-metal, 90s hip hop, thrash, hardcore, metalcore and deathcore, and trap metal. So yeah that's why it's long

17. What podcasts do you listen to/recommend? I really don't listen to podcasts cause it's like...I'm just listening to people talk but I can't respond! I would listen to more at work if I knew what I liked; as it is I listen to video essays on youtube. I did listen to a lovely interview with Moira Quirk recently on Locked Tomb Podcast though (it's a fan podcast and I have blorbo disease as per usual.) And I've listened to a number of fascinating podcasts while traveling with @toastweasel
