The funniest thing in tgcf is the fact that somehow, qi rong is the best dad. Like. Qi Rong.

I mean:

-Feng Xin didn't even know that he had a kid and that kid is dead.

-Xie Lian says he's going to buy milk, fakes his death and comes back centuries later without the milk but with a new boyfriend and starts to give you life lessons. Also, 2 dead kids (Banyue and Lang Ying).

-You all know what Jun Wu did.

-Mei Nianqing: also went to buy milk, spent centuries away crying about his ex and painting. -10 points for not fighting fot xl's custody.

So, yeah. CONGRATS TO QR FOR BEING THE BEST DAD IN TGCF!! HE FINALLY WINS SOMETHING!!!!

the day mu qing's mother passes he finds jian lan dying and manages to save the child. he's being very emotional and sentimental so he decides to keep him: creates a female form, a clone of her, and raises as his own.

he takes care of him teaches him how to fight with saber (the kid prefers a bow for some reason. whatever) one day tells him he's not his actual mother( cuocuo still calls him mom).

some time passes the clone "dies of old age" and shortly after cuocuo ascends and becomes nan yang's deputy( oh how mu qing hates that!).

general xuan zhen still keeps an eye on him, borrowing for missions occasionally, claiming that he's the only competent person in the whole palace and feng xin finds him very helpful too. he teaches him archery praises his good manners and education. his mom raised him good.

in a century he gets his own godly domain and two generals are still there to support him.

when xie lian brings jian lan to heavenly court she points at mu qing and tells he stole her child. he's forced to show his woman form but denies the accusations. she also reveals who's the father of her kis and the heavens are shaken by that awkward family dynamic. mu qing is arrested, feng xin is processing and cuocuo is confused af

Hi unsure if youre a fluent mandarin speaker or not but !! naming your oc ‘错‘ is so funny it’s 😭😭😭 he’s straight up just named ‘wrong’… poor guy. I’ve never seen lmk but i grew up with sun wukong and all of this content of him (albeit in? Lego form?) makes me rather nostalgic! Keep up the good work

Yes, Cuò is a very unlucky guy, so the name he chose for himself is descriptive and a warning

also I am definitely not fluent in Mandarin (i am possibly the whitest person you'd ever meet), but I made sure to do my research, and found some reliable resources and guides, and double checked with a friend who knows more than me. His name actually was almost Bài (败) but it didnt quite work.

However if there's anything egregious or straight up incorrect please let me know!

we'll start with wei wuxian infamously naming his sword suibian, which we know means "whatever".(happy birthday wei ying i love you so much mwah mwah. i'm sure suibian doesn't mind too much.)

then there's mo ran's sword jiangui, meaning "ah, what the hell?" classic.

moving on from swords, we have every single plot device plant in the house airplane built. honorable mention: elder one-arm. because he has, and get this, fewer than two arms. fuck that guy i guess.

but lastly and in my opinion the funniest, there's cuo cuo.

imagine for a second that you are the sentient and objectively fucked up spirit of an abortion and your name means "whoopsie". me personally i would sing eerily at some homeless guy dressed as a bride. but maybe that's doing too much
