I had a sorta crappy day at work but I come home to THIS!!!!

CURE ZUKKYUN AND CURE KISS!!!!

Alright so technically this is not a leak because it’s an official reveal by the website Oricon, but I’m marking it as spoilers anyway.

Things I notice!!!!

They look older. Right off the bat, first thing I notice. Like wow I see how Purirun is the older one now 💀

I KNEW it was gonna be black and white!!! Despite all the pink and green they were throwing at us. I was skeptical of two pink cures in one team.

VERY detailed costumes again. With lots of sub colors

But they actually look like idols!!!

And their costumes actually MATCH/coordinate with the other girls!!! Woohoo I love that!

The lock and key…. I see how the recent’s episodes events are gonna come into play…. 🥹

Kiss has an interesting amount of purple in her.

I wondered if we were gonna get our reveals today bc of another post that said that MaCherie and Amour were revealed in the last Wednesday of May at this time and I can’t believe they were right!!! Omg I’m so excited!!!

Edit: apparently they are debuting THIS UPCOMING EPISODE!!! ON SATURDAY NIGHT/SUNDAY MORNING!

Remember a few years ago I was ranting about wanting a pink cure with black hair?

I hope she will not be a black cure dressed in all black with splashes of pink! I want her to have a proper poofy pink outfit with black hair!

Also:

Please be a green cure! Not a white and/or pink one!!!

Will those 2 maybe answers my prayers after so many years? Give me that Toei!!!! 👏🏻

Edit: well, Cure Kiss and Cure Zukyuun are nice but still not what I wanted!

Love, love, love that we're getting another black and white duo! I think they need each other to transform, too. Kiss has the Heart Kirari Lock on her hip and Zukyuun has the key.

I think Kiss's design works really well for Meroron, but Zukyuun is throwing me off a little. It's great, don't get me wrong, but I'm having some trouble wrapping my head around the fact that that's Purirun. I wonder if they both have a Cure Ace/MahoPre/Majesty thing going on? Y'know, like their normal human forms are around the trio's age but they get older when they transform?

I have mixed feelings about Cure Zukyuun and Cure Kiss designs.

And how they got debuted.

The ep pacing felt off lol.

There's a lot to like about IdolPre but I also feel like it doesn't always know when to make the pacing slower.

Okay so they released the Cure Zukyuun and Cure Kiss designs and I’m very much mixed on them…

I can live with Cure Kiss (she looks like Meroron) but man as a Purirun fan I really wished I like her cure design more. Like where is the blue coming from in her design?? Kiss is consistent with Meroron’s fairy form but not Purirun/Zukyuun?? Know it’s probably because they wanted her to fit better in with the established trio (Kiss is pink and purple and Zukyuun now has some pink and blue) but it really should’ve been orange/gold.

I’m not a good artist but think something like this color scheme:

kamen rider doesnt crossover with precure bc they know the magnitude of the level 10 cuntquake that would be caused by zukyumpire and cure zukyuun being in the same room would devastate entire countries

i didnt expect purirun and melorun's cure forms as cure zukyuun n cure kiss to look lik adults, (i think it would be funny if in cilvilan form even though both look lik adults both of them still act lik how they act in fairy form, purirun being silly and eating alot while melorun is...melorun.)

and iirc this is the 1st time the later addition (meh term 4 the mid season) cure's designs were revealed without a design leak be4, we only knew the names of zukyuun n kiss, and their transformation device.

Kimi to Idol Precure Mid-seasons Predictions/Theories

Mid-Season Spoilers Ahead

So as pure usual of every pretty cure season, we now know the name of this year's mid-seasons (thank you toy hackers, what could we have done without you..) Cure Zukyuun and Cure Kiss. So here are my predictions/theories for the mid-seasons identities:

The Obvious: Purirun and Meroron

Probably the most obvious choices for the mid-seasons for a number of reasons. One: they coincidentally have a similar color scheme to the white and black hearts shown on the logo (especially Meroron), Two: they have eyes similar to the other cures WHEN IN pretty cure form, Three: they come in a duo and the mid-seasons are grouped together (like a Ma Cherie and Amour type of situationship), and it seems like they'll get human forms considering the fact that the manager character who I think is Kaito's manager coincidentally has a music note on his tie and the fact that the fairies are looking at him in the opening, makes me think that he's a fairy as well. In my opinion, there's no doubt that Meroron will be a pretty cure (I mean her design is too cute to not do anything with) but I'm not sure about Purirun. But again this is Toei, they'll either go with the obvious, or these two are a red herring for something else.

The Unexpected: Hibiki Kaito

The character that Toei has been hyping up lately (especially since an actual idol is apparently voicing him) and it seems like he'll be a recurring supporting character in the season (Seiji, Takumi, and Satoru anyone?). It honestly would be an interesting plot point to have an idol who is currently taking a break from his career and have him figure out why he wanted to be an idol again and BOOM..pretty cure. However there are some problems with this theory, One: He's a dude and you know how Toei is with the idea of male cures (pyonderful pretty cure....), and Two: We don't know his age, he looks like an adult, or at the very youngest, a high schooler *Edit: Just learned he is in fact 18 so he's an adult*. I would be happy with something like this but I doubt it.

The Wild Card: Higashinaka Mikoto

Uta's best friend who is a big idol and Cure Idol fan. I'm honestly putting her here cause I think it would be cute if she did become a cure, but Toei hasn't really done the whole ordinary civilian to cure thing since....shit I think since Heartcatch (Cure Sunshine is one of my favorites and this is one of the reasons why), they rather have special characters become cures then minor supporting ordinary civilians. Still I think it would be cute if she did become one.

So Zukyuun (Zukyoon?) and Kiss do indeed debut in THIS episode (!!!!) and we already see their attack and performance, which is cool but also—

it seems like this will let meroron transform into cure zukyuun but the question is if it'll be a duo transformation with purirun or if purirun will also just happen to own a marketable magical object

My thoughts on Kimi to idol precure visuals:

Cure ldol: I like her design, she is a cute lead. I always loves when the pink cures have blond hair (I know its very generic but it works) The blue accents are what I like most!

Cure Wink: the one I like the least, too much blue of the same shade. I also really don’t like the random strands of hair and the short bangs. And why does she have a heart in her hairstyle if she is represented by a diamond?

Cure Kyun Kyun: my favourite! Her hairstyle is perfect! Purple and teal blue goes so well together and her golden eyes are gorgeous!

Overall I love the poofy skirts, the gingham pattern for team unity and the dangling bits at the ends of the dresses ribbons! The fairies are very cute, especialy the pink one!

Looks like you may not have to stop keeping up with Precure. There may be a good chance we're getting their Identity Crises sorted out sooner rather than later if the episode titles are anything to go by.

Think we'll have their brains fixed by either of those episodes?

I'll believe it when I see it!

I'm already side-eyeing this season because of the dreadful potential of Uta ending up with a love interest who's TOO OLD for her (either Kaito or Cure Zukyuun).

Any questionable shit, and it's to the Shadow Realm with it.
