sometimes i feel like the people reading black butler forget that the whole premise of the narrative is a boy who saw his entire family and household massacred on his birthday is tricked into forming a revenge pact with a demon that was summoned by the cult that killed his brother after abusing the two preteen boys for weeks on end, to bring equal humiliation, pain, and suffering to everyone responsible for the aforementioned horrors committed against him. “its so dark” like yeah… what gave it away? “the subject matter is so heavy” again… what part of the narrative set up made you think it wouldn’t be? like you know how this is ending, right?

I just noticed I have not uploaded this Currycano Zinger promotion from KFC Singapore before, so better late than never. The burger came with a Hot & Spicy Zinger fillet, cheese, sambal sauce, hash brown “cup” and oat bran buns with a tub of curry sauce on the side. You are supposed to pour the curry sauce into the hash cup to create a lava flow effect but I rather not as it will be too messy to eat.

Black Butler Curry Arc Review

Black Butler meets Food Wars! 😂

In all seriousness, this was a decent arc. I get to like Prince Soma and Agni a lot more than from the clips I’ve seen; especially Agni. I didn’t knew his hand was blessed by the gods before, so that’s a neat bit of information.

Although, I do know what eventually happens to him in the manga thanks to YouTube. Might as well like his appearances until then.

I have a main gripe though. Of course I noticed the inclusions of anime-original characters; such as Pluto and Ash/Angela. So now I’m left confused on which parts are canon to the manga and what is not (aside from the characters I’ve mentioned).

So I’ll give this arc a solid 8/10 for a good introduction to our lovable Indians.

Next I’m onto the famous Circus Arc. Can’t wait.

Also, Sebastian is one hell of a deer. 🦌

Vegan Grillable Katsu Burgers with Wasabi Mayo

Breakfast started off with two mini Red Bean Buns (S$1.20 each) from Ho Kee Pau (和记包). I remembered it used to cost just S$0.80 before the COVID-19 pandemic. Price increase aside, the velvety and sweet red bean paste is still as good as ever enclosed in fluffy soft bun. Best eaten hot after steaming it.

Two small buns is not going to fill me up so I had this box of Economy Rice (菜饭) a couple of hours later for brunch. Came with steamed egg custard, curry chicken and okra stir-fry with white rice.

new fave breakfast is gyoza fried in olive/sesame oil and soy sauce with green onions and a fried egg in the middle… its so easy
