"Rutherford" - Victorian Button-Gaiter shoes

I have been sitting on this for a little while because I had no idea how to take good pictures of shoes O_Ou

Thus; I don't have several pictures to accompany this post, like I normally would!

I have liberated the swatches from the Vampires GP , and applied them to more Victorian-era shoes.

These are called "Gaiter", or "Button ", or "Button-Gaiter " shoes or boots: the leather bottom part is attached to an upper which closes with buttons instead of laces (which look like spats, which are separate, and arrive more during the Edwardian era). The upper could be leather, but also could be a different fabric altogether; and is usually in a different colour to the rest of the shoe.

The Vampires GP shoe has 12 swatches, and I haven't changed this - personally, I would only use a couple of these, but I've kept the rest should you feel the need to go wild haha. These are found in Masculine, Teen to Elder in CAS.

(please ignore any issues you see with the images above, believe me it looks better on a Sim in the game, and also it was a lot harder than I expected to get it where it is now)

I also made 3D buttons, which by itself didn't seem like an issue, but attaching them to a piece of clothing is REALLY ANNOYING, they don't natively move with that piece of clothing, and I had to go through a lot of learning to try get weights right, and have fixes done in CASTools. So much testing, so much head banging. I ALMOST gave up on them.

So! Now they're done, I am not going to touch them again 🙃

dw guys the thh tonaegiri trio was supposed to be included in the arti-mate collab but kyoko already filled their long-skirt quota and they had to stick junko in somewhere. so

some alternative outfit designs i was messing around with under the cut

i mostly couldn't use these because i couldn't figure out a color scheme that could still comfortably carry the original palette to fit the collab theme...anyways feel free to color yourself lol
