I don’t custom paint things often, but I’m trying my hand at custom painting a calico critter’s home I bought just recently!! I’m actually… really happy with it so far
I still need to paint the mortar between the bricks, fill in some spots and paint the brown parts on the windows and beams, but other than that I’ve made good headway!
realized i never posted my custom critter... she's the border collie mom from the original run, I got her secondhand and pretty banged up. i cleaned her up, painted her some saddleback markings (that you can't see under her clothes lol), and gave her a snazzy new suit and cane. her name is cherry now, obvi
A question for people who make custom Calico Critter: What paint do you guys use for the bodies?
See I have a lamb/sheep Calico Custom I've been wanting to make for a while but haven't known what paint to use and really don't want to mess it up by using improper paint. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Note: The only part of it I'm really going to paint is the face to make it gray. So I'd prefer to paint it rather then dye it.
New laundry room and bathroom set ups! Still waiting on some parts I couldn't make, but everything except the small wooden tubs and bath accessories I made myself! :^> Would love to hear thoughts!
Finally decided to just repaint the little blind bag chihuahua into a fox. I still think the chihuahua mold looks a little weird in general but I'm quite happy with how they came out, also experimenting with pipe cleaner tails now
This is for the Wes Anderson trend that’s floating about. It took me ages !!
I’m doing this big project customising Sylvanian Families/ Calico Critters. Mostly they’re spooky makeovers but I had to do Fantastic Mr. Fox for this one!
The Spooky Potion Stand is set up again for trick or treaters!
This year, newest resident Cora Honeyswamp is running the stand. Cora is from a family of beekeepers and she loves all things autumn 🍂 the "potions" are various fun bubbly drinks and even some fresh honey from her bees.
