more patterns and giving hard mode a go again after nuking my last one cause idk

some patterns and town tunes that I made (one tune not tho maybe~~?) proud of the paths cause they're simple but look a lot better than when I first started messing with pixel art~~

I think this last one was the default tune for Doubutsu no Mori E+ (?) I liked it so I'll usually go back to that one~~

can ya guess what my inspiration for these tunes is~~? tho some of the songs don't work as they're too fast paced~~ is a cartoon I've come to like~~~ idk why I like it, unless just because cartoon~~~ *shrug* it made me want to learn the language that it's in too~~~~ :)

also~~~ sadly flattened nectarlake and then didn't know what to do with it afterwards, started a project for an entrance, got too overwhelmed with it, and then started a new hardcore mode run~~

hopefully I won't do that this time~~

Simplicity Crafts 8091 looks like mostly generic beanbag animals... but Simplicity Crafts 8472 and Butterick 5295 look like potentially Beanie Baby replicas and spoofs. (That Butterick pattern is for sure-- that rabbit is spot on!)

These patterns are probably small enough to scan and upload. Just saying. Should anyone get their hands on one

guys i did i edited an ea mesh... first time i've ever done it so let me know if there's issues. roughly inspired by sheri moon's jeans in rob's movies but also Not.

two packages, one's the default ea swatches & one is 8 colors w 3 patterns each (cheetah, camo, and tiger print, i got tired ok). if you download both they'll combine into one package bc ea hates me personally but they work.

was briefly possessed to draw some wembley art again, featuring hastily redesigned freight! notes under cut

i tried to keep the futuristic vibe and make their designs more individualized. i also kept with slade's design prompt—no train resemblance, and little/no napier design language

why is lumber green? because trees are green and he's into sustainable logging. i was aiming for a casual park ranger/forestry outfit. he wears his suspenders properly when he's working, but they're otherwise down. he has climbing gaffs (insp by @/honey-dont) and wears high top skates w/ the tongue down for ankle mobility

porter is a woman because when i first heard of her i thought she'd be female. so my version of porter has transitioned (she/her)! i intended her outfit to suggest welder or mechanic. she has lots of minor burn scars! she also wears low-cut derby skates because she likes to be FAST. she zips up her jumpsuit when working

slick is relatively unchanged because i think the bulky athletic costume fits her quite well. it's slightly modified to more resemble a hazmat suit or oil rig uniform. she & hydra are both tankers, so they share some outfit similarities

hydra is blue because 1) they swapped colors w/ lumber, and 2) they're a cryogenic tanker, and cryogenic aprons are blue. also blue just works better because he's cold. he has the tail for balance and because he thinks it looks cool. they're hi-vis because they want to show off, and for safety, because you would NOT want to crash into a hydrogen tanker. also he's nonbinary (they/he)

Where can I find patterns for making Fashion Doll Clothes?

A friend and I were chatting tonight about doll clothes, and it occurred to me that if you've never dabbled in making doll clothes before, you may not know where to find patterns for them. So I'm sharing a list with you guys of every resource I know of.

This is one of the big go-to's of the community. Requiem Arts has patterns for so many different fashion dolls, from Monster High (G1 and G3) to Rainbow High, to a number of BJDs, to Barbies, and even several for the boy dolls. I've gone to them for many a Descendants pattern since not a lot of places offer them. Her blog also features a number of great posts on size differences between dolls, fixing articulation, and more.

If you need Monster High and Ever After High patterns with easy to follow instructions, this is the place to go! Dollightful only has a handful of patterns up, but her instructions are super easy to follow. They're just as enjoyable as her YouTube videos.

This artist has an interesting mix of patterns for fashion dolls, once again it's a lot of Monster High, but also a little bit of Rainbow High. Cosmomoore is great if you need patterns for Rainbow High, Barbie, or G3 Monster High. All of the G3 patterns are under the Creepy Class tag. I've tried their skirt pattern for G3 Draculaura, it was a breeze to put together when you know a few basic stitches.

So I'm just a seamstress working out of my house doing my own thing, but for some reason the idea of maybe getting some of my designs manufactured and selling them or doing some kind of fashion show is on my mind rn.

Wow, Infold really spat on the whales with the dye system... An excellent post over on the official IN subreddit illuminated me to the realities of the current dye system.

loooool we were asking the wrong questions this whole time. "What's the point of evolutions when we get a dye system??" Apparently, an outfit evolution is just a better opportunity to rake money using the dye system!

How the dye system currently works:

When an outfit piece is first obtained, 6 color Palettes will automatically become available, with the first 2 slots in each Palette unlocked by default.

In addition to the 6 Palettes:

3 more Palettes unlock when 5-star outfits are completed.

4 more Palettes after the first evolution.

5 more Palettes after the second evolution.

Unlocking a Palette grants access to all its color slots at once.

Palette unlocking is PER PIECE PER OUTFIT.

Wow. Ok. But say I get all the evolutions of a banner dress - 400 or 420 pulls spent on this outfit I really love. What are my options?

Well, you get more customizable areas and 12 more palettes for the complete outfit + all 3 evolutions. But no free 2 color slots after the basic 6!

The entire palette is locked and you need prisms to unlock the entire palette to use a single color slot. Yes, you pulled additional dress evolutions and as a reward - you get the opportunity to pay to unlock more colors!

Hmm. Ok. Maybe it's not so bad - what do you unlock palettes with?

A new material that you can only get from event rewards and store packs - Prisms. Prisms have 3 types - one for 5-stars, one for 4-stars, and one 3-stars (image credit to Moon Sugar Cake):

The dyeing material costs are different PER PIECE.

You get a single discount, after unlocking Evolution 1 to halve the amount of resources needed. And resources are refunded if you already unlocked a palette and then gain Evolution 1 later. Yay.

Well, that fucking sucks. But I unlocked the final evolution. Don't I get a color wheel to freely customize the outfit I spent 400 pulls on??

Sure, after you unlock ALL 18 COLOR PALETTES.

Guess the species!

These pillows are based on real species of Yellowjackets! (Hint: the one on the far left and far right are European, and the middle one is North American). The one on the far right was the original product on zazzle.com, and when I saw it at the time, I absolutely had to acquire it! The other two were designed by me and subsequently added to the collection. Only a total wasp fanatic would own something like this. 🤣

I've had these for many years, and I still cherish them!
