I'm kind of shy so I'll just go with this- I love your post-AYITL fic TLAWR. Especially the one shot/flashforward of that universe- Daddy Shark. I just love the take of Logan and Jess attempting to coexist and Rory and Richie.

Is it possible that you could write another flashforward one shot? Please???

Dear Anonymous, I'm SO sorry I let this languish in my inbox for so long! I'm SO glad you love TLAWR and Daddy Shark (or as I like to call it... The "Daddy Shark-verse") so much! That makes me really happy! I have a lot of "blended family"-ness on both sides of my genetic makeup and the reactions of a lot of fans after AYITL were kind of weirding me out! People acting like the idea of Jess having to "raise another man's child" was somehow tragic or unfair? Or that Rory had to be with Logan because he's (probably) "the father of her child?" Like... No? This kind of thing happens so often! And it's also not uncommon to strongly dislike your partner's ex! And other people have written versions where Logan is straight-up not in the picture, so I thought it might be interesting to explore the idea of Rory and Logan trying to do the "mature" thing, like so many people do. I do appreciate the "full circle" parallels Amy drew, but I find the idea most interesting when things don't repeat TOO exactly. There are some echoes and similarities to the older generation, but they're also different people. I like the idea that we can LEARN from the patterns of our history as well as just repeat them.

ANYWAY, you didn't ask for all that, did you? Haha! So... while I would love to write further adventures of Jess-Rory-Logan's attempts to co-parent Richie, I'm afraid my brain is mostly preoccupied with how they GOT to that point at the moment! I'm so sorry to disappoint you! I thought about it for a while, but I don't have any ideas about that right now. BUT, if I do, I will be thinking of you and hoping you enjoy it! 😊

—they start calling kiri 'Shark-ishima' maybe it starts as a joke but as they become closer it turns into 'Shark-Ei' and it's their own personal name for him, and endearment of their affection to the oblivious ray of sunshine, (maybe they develop a mild~ obsession with kiri's teeth, or just find his qualities cute)

(I don't care if it's an AU or they are Heroe's, but sometime after graduation Ei FINALLY gets the hint they LIKE LIKE HIM, and he joking he says you can call me daddy shark, and they finally get together! (I don't have a daddy kink, but you might)

Alternatively; jealousy, maybe a classmate starts calling Kiri 'Shark-ishima' and -insert partner- gets jealous and starts possessively calling him 'Shark-Ei' In Front of that friend until it develops into feelings? -insert fic-

You know, at times I've wondered if it would be realistic, in this day and age, for a guy like Colin McRae to lose enough actual money in poker to have to resort to wagering his yacht... But, consider: A. It was FUNNY, B. I got the idea from (in addition to the true story of my great great great Uncle Frank) a Wodehouse character who bet (and lost) his Rolls-Royce AND the East Wing of the house, so... Rich People Shenanigans, and perhaps most importantly C. I don't really care. 😌
