A part of Henry had always assumed he would die within the walls of the library.

It's a statistically sound assumption. He spends most of his waking hours here. He puts too much trust in the wobbly tables he stands on to hang decorations. He dares to use the ancient elevator that screeches and groans during its slow, perilous journey between floors. He often volunteers to go into the boiler room and bang on the unit so it starts up again. And out of pure obligatory politeness, he eats the godawful cookies Janice leaves in the staff break room on Fridays. Obviously, it will be one of these ill-advised choices that causes his untimely death.

Then he walks in.

Summary: The glow of Paris spills through the open window, pouring a golden hue over the room as if honey drenches every surface. The air feels thick with it, so sticky and sweet that Alex wonders if it can be tasted on their skin. Time buckles under the influence and the seconds pass achingly slow, allowing him to chronicle every glorious detail.

They are really doing this.

The entire Paris scene from the RWRB Movie - from the café to the hotel - is just perfectly done and I have so many feelings about it. But there's the moment right as Alex and Henry begin undressing that's just overwhelmingly intimate and beautiful. I tweeted out that I could probably write an entire fic about that two second shot and the internet responded with more enthusiasm than i ever expected. So the joke was on me.

Regardless, here we are...almost 2000 words about 2 seconds of the movie. It's a self-indulgent feelings dump with absolutely no plot. Hope you enjoy.

He’s…he’s…” A SH 2x12 canon-divergent story where Magnus isn’t rescued by Alec and is executed in Valentine’s body by the Clave. His last moments of life are that of absolute agony…until the moment he wakes up in Edom and in the company of Asmodeus. Given a second chance at immortal life, Magnus returns to New York only to discover that, despite the seemingly fleeting moments he’d spent in death, decades have passed in the mortal realm and the love of his life is gone. The only thing Alec left behind were letters, marking the passing of days: Day 3, Day 64, Day 378, Day 1104. Through Alec’s words, the events after Magnus’ passing begin to unfold. And with each painful letter, a hopeful path back to the man who had the makings to be Magnus’ greatest love begins to be revealed.
