When mates scent each other and are content in harmony, their scents will fuse to make almost a new one.

Together, andreil smells like cherry coke and that cold misty smell after it rains (with a tiny hint of cigarettes)

DanMatt smells like maple and something akin to worn wallet leather

Kateaaron smells like sour dough, citrusy jam and juice

JereJean would smell like yogurt covered almonds and fresh flowers

AlliSeth used to smell like seasoned fruit and pollen

Other scents:

Erik(beta): sliced melon and sugared lime with a hint of gardenia

Thea(alpha): ground coffee, oak, and a sharp floral scent

Laila(alpha): fruit smoothie, and dried cranberries

Cat(alpha): walnut and ginger with a hint of grapefruit

Kayleigh(beta): marshmallow and fresh clovers

Nathan(alpha): rare steak, iron, spiced peppermint (the kind that burns inhaling)

Mary(beta): Cherry liqueur, some kind of tea flavor, and rosemary (together, she sort of smells like flu medicine)

Andreil. They were number 1 until April of this year. Keywords slow burn, enemies to lovers, to-love-is-to-be-seen, soul level connection, deals and promises, boundaries, etc.

Nicky x Erik. I like what Nicky tells Neil about Erik but their open relationship is not for me, I wouldn’t date a 23 y/o guy that makes out with a drugged 18-19 y/o no problem. But Erik sounds sweet.

Kevthea. Cute in theory, but when I stop and think for a second it’s quite creepy. Their origins and foundation are not cute at all. Except for the part where Kevin learns how to braid her hair. Keywords age-gap, freshman x senior couple, cult setting, rivalry, power couple, etc.

Day 13 of @millportisntreal's Valentine's Day Drabbles! I made myself chuckle with this one!

Double date

"Hey Dan, what do you think about a double date?" Matt asked one evening as they were cuddling on the couch.

"With who?" Dan asked.

"Neil and Andrew," Matt said with a cheeky smile.

"Matt!" Dan laughed. "They won't even acknowledge that they're dating! Besides, I think Andrew might stab you if you even suggest a double date."

"We could send Renee," Matt suggested. "She'd at least stand a chance of survival."

"I wonder what their dates look like," Dan said.

"Probably hunting down old mafia people or something and stabbing annoying people," Matt said, nodding with all the wisdom he had. "I bet Neil's really good at hiding bodies."

Valentines Day was not something they normally celebrated in the Boyd-Wilds household. Dan was adamant that Valentines was a fake holiday that Hallmark made up so they could make more money off people and basically begged Matt not to play into their games by spending money on overpriced candy for one day when they could buy it for discount the day after. Matt didn't totally agree with his wife… but in the interest of keeping the peace he only ever gave her hand made cards instead of buying one and got Renee to teach him how to make Dan's favourite cookies as a gift. This worked especially well for the times when their schedules didn't line up and they couldn't spend the day together in the first place.

This year their time off had miraculously lined up so they were both off work on February 14th and Matt wanted to celebrate. He knew Dan would want to avoid the cinemas and fancy restaurants, so he chose the least Valentines-y themed thing he could think of.

Ice skating.

He was one hundred percent sure that no one would be thinking of ice skating this far after Christmas and the rink in Greensbro would be super empty so they could have a romantic date without all the crowds. He had made his card and the cookies like usual but after breakfast he bundled a quizzical Dan into his truck and drove the forty minutes to the rink whilst trying to avoid Dan's questions on where they were going and why he had such a big grin on his face.

When they pulled into the parking lot and turned off the engine, Dan turned in her seat so she was looking at Matt with a questioning look she had definitely copied from Wymack.

“Okay, okay!” Matt laughed, raising his hands in surrender. “Stop with the Dadmack expression!”

“Will you tell me what's going on now?” Dan replied, crossing her arms.

“Come on.” Matt unbuckled his seat belt and got out of the car, meeting Dan on her side and linking their hands together as he tugged her towards the rink. “I know you don't like feeding into the corporate greed of the whole Valentine's Day thing, but I still wanted to do something a little special since we both have the time off for once!” Matt gestured proudly at the building's large sign that said ‘Freeze Things Happen!’

“Ice skating?” Dan asked.

“Ice skating!” Matt grinned.

“Alright.” Dan said, a smile blossoming across her face. “Let's go skate some ice.”
