ok so i loved Dead Rising i’ve played hours of the series but as i take inventory of the things i love alas very very problematic

In the apocalypse Darlene has gone lost touch with reality and wants to hoard all the food to herself so she ends up attacking the player character.

there’s already so many problems in just the text description that it’s hard to fully vent about

but not only is it fat phobic they thought they’d also be ablest too cause yknow modern media yippee!

i think the worst part of all of these absolutely horrid choices for a side mission in a video game is that the image of Darlene is a prominent figure on many anti fat content creators with them reposting the same images of the character along with their abhorrent views

I love the dead rising franchises but goddamn if this isn’t actual anti fat propaganda disguised in a “tongue in cheek” video game franchise

Darlene Fleischermacher is easily the most nightmare-inducing video game boss for me.

Not that I have anything against fat people, but I really hate it when they're portrayed villainous or really nauseating.
