Loudclan - Moon 27

Juneaucliff and Dogwoodmoth playfully bicker while on patrol.

They find an abandoned tom-kit named Ermine. After some discussion, he is brought home, where Weed adopts him as her own.

It takes a few days to get him clean and healthy, but Weed is an experienced healer, and soon he is strong enough to play with Silt's kits outside of the nursery.

Erminekit and Songkit end up being nearly inseperable over the next moon that they share in the nursery.

[MEET MY BOY! ERMINE! He's not gonna let ANY body (or bird) mess with his bestie Songkit. Also so sorry if you were one of the people asking what Juneau was up to that got ignored, it was cause I knew he was gonna feature in this. He's up to the only thing he's ever up to which is getting his ego checked by by every woman he gets within speaking distance of. Next moon the owl babies become apprentices! Yay! That comic might take a minute or two cause damn it's gonna be a lot of dialogue. Everyone's got lots of strong feelings about growing up in this very strange family dynamic.]

The roughdrafts of the monokits, please ignore why Silentkit looks like that they've always been a little...off compared to their siblings, especially after Rockkit nicked their ear. Also f to Beekit that yellow cats arent really...a thing...and i barely cheated in green by making it super dark, so Beekit just had to have Vulturetalon's eyes instead of his mother Bearheart's or father Salmonstar's eyes. This is likely right before they were all separated, all wondering where their mother is, not knowing she was killed on accident after her treason was uncovered.

PosyClan Characters Year 1!

Hello! I’ve been working on my ClanGen comic for sometime now and I feel like it’s a good time to start posting :D

First off : The Holly Family

Icestar (Formerly Iceholly) :

Male

Adult (30 Moons)

Icestar comes from a family that was renowned for their bright red coats, seemingly having a strong connection with StarClan and being revered for their numerous accomplishments. Icestar was born with a duller coat but marked with start white, which was seen as being touched directly from StarClan.

Icestar overthrew the previous leader Tulipstar with the help of StarClan and a few loyal clanmates. The strongest in the Clan, he was always known for his silent and unnerving demeanor, and an unrelenting faith in their ancestors and heritage.

Poppykit :

Female

Kit (4 Moons)

Poppykit was adopted by Icestar shortly after the coup, finding her abandoned along the border

Growing up in the new PosyClan, Poppkit is a hyper and mischevious child, constantly trying chasing after the other kits and trying to fight Twolegs. She loves her father, but has an especially close bond with her older brother, Caterpillarpaw.

Caterpillarpaw :

Apprentice (8 Moons)

Caterpillarpaw was born shortly before the coup and spent his kithood in a tense and hostile home. Unlike his father, his red coat has entirely been taken over with white. This was seen as a sign that he’ll be destined to be a great protector of PosyClan.

He is extremely timid and nauseated over his proclaimed destiny, which makes his relationship with his father strained.

He is apprenticed under his father.

The Moss Family

Ambermoss :

Female

Adult (29 Moons)

Ambermoss is the current deputy of PosyClan.

She was one of the three loyal followers of Icestar, as well as being kithood friends. She was given the role of deputy as she was the strongest of the three, as well as being his first follower.

She fell in love with her mate Minnowfern during the planning for the coup, and the rules against dating medicine cats were a factor for her rebelling.

She is the opposite of Icestar : Bubbly and kind, she soothes a lot of the tension he brings to the other Clanmates.

Minnowfern :

Adult (33 Moons)

The medicine cat of PosyClan

Minnowfern was the one who gave Icestar the original prophecy and omens from StarClan, becoming his second follower

He is currently in charge of all spiritual and medicinal affairs, but hopes to gain an apprentice in the near future.

He is very charismatic and good with the younger cats, teaching them all they need to know

And lastly, The Prim Family :

Primrip :

Male

Senior (127 Moons)

Primrip is the current mediator of PosyClan

The oldest of the three followers, Primrip decided to join them after a lifetime of strife and numerous tragedies. After the coup, he adopted the remaining four orphaned kits left behind.

Like Ambermoss, he helps sort out problems in the Clan, as well as being the babysitter as well.

Dapplekit & Dashkit

Female / Male

Kitten (4 Moons)

Losing their parents in the coup, Dapple and Dashkit were taken in by Primrip.

Dapplekit is constantly fighting with Poppykit and her siblings, matching Poppy’s hyper energy and wanting to be “the best warrior” in the Clan

Dashkit is the more reserved of the two, choosing to stay in the sidelines. He prefers to be by himself.

Alderpaw :

Female

Apprentice (9 Moons)

Alderpaw, along with her sister Thriftpaw, were orphaned sometime before the coup, left to be on their own in the Clan until the coup. They were adopted by Primrip afterwards.

Out of the three, Alderpaw is the most agile apprentice, having a strong desire to adventure outside of the Clan’s territory. She loves to meet new animals and make friends. She gets along easily with Caterpillarpaw, although she has a tendency to unintentionally make him nervous and antsy with her escapades.

She is apprenticed to Icestar

Thriftpaw :

Female

Apprentice (9 Moons)

Thriftpaw is the most moody of the apprentices, tending to go against orders and curfew.

She has a tendency to lash and is easily frustrated, and mainly takes this out on Caterpillarpaw.

She is apprenticed to Ambermoss, who helps her regulate her outbursts

And that’s about it for now! Next post should hopefully be a loose map of the territory, and a brief description of the outside clans :D

In cat genetics, gray is just dilute black, and brown is just a non-homozygous dominant form of black (it’s the same gene). Needlemaw’s brown looks kinda diluted but Leafkit’s doesn’t, so we can work with that too!

So, say that Heatherdash and Rainpool are both “Bb/Dd”, hetero for both base color and dilution, which will make them both gray. If they pass both little b’s to Needle and Leaf (and Hailkit), that will make them brown! And both little d’s could’ve make Needle more of a diluted lilacish color. Dashkit  & Whisperkit’s black makes sense, too, since they could’ve just gotten capital D’s and therefore wouldn’t be gray/dilute.

I will say though, Hailkit’s very light coloring and the spotting is a mystery to me lol who knows

But aside from that, they all work just fine genetically :] i hope that makes sense?

Dashpaw isn’t sure why he had said ‘yes.’ Maybe he was trying to impress the older apprentice? Maybe he really did feel like he would be at the time. It didn’t matter. The brown tabby swallows hard and forces himself to push further into the territory and beyond sight of camp.

He’d been out a couple of times before with Cliffpaw to learn the basic gist of everything -- how to find the way back if he were to get lost, how to stalk and catch prey, and the basics of defense. That should be enough; Cliffpaw’s been fine so far on his own.

He needed to be brave. It was hard enough needing to ask Amberkit to help him and Cliffpaw dig enough graves to bury the fallen -- the ones who were left, anyway. He couldn’t face himself if he couldn’t at least bring home prey for her and Flipkit to share. She said she didn’t mind, looking after the shaken young kit, but it didn’t feel fair for Amberkit to essentially rear a kit of her own at only four moons herself.

Before he knew it, Dashpaw was somewhere he didn’t immediately recognize; though Cliffpaw tried showing him as much of the prairie as he could, what that really amounted to was the perimeter and very outskirts of camp. He had duties of his own he needed to take care of. They both just needed to train themselves. Whatever that meant.

The half-white tomcat takes a moment to look around and try to catch his bearings, trying to place in his mind where the pine trees began to litter the fields. All it took was a second. Lifting his light blue eyes upward, away from the shifting grass, his vision abruptly shifts as he lands harshly on the ground, pinned by one cat as another rakes their claws across his belly. Dashpaw screams, fear filling his chest. The world around him spins as the apprentice tries to cope with a pain like he’d never experienced.

He had survived the wolves, he couldn’t just die like this -- his mind was a blur, the voices of the cats above him nothing but noise. With a single surge, it seemed he was able to catch his assailants off-guard and easily break from their pin, racing through the tall grass and gritting his teeth. They were behind him, surely they were. He was already going to be leaving them a direct trail to where he was, he couldn’t risk calling for help. Who was there to call? Cliffpaw, who could be tree-lengths away?

He just needed to get to the tunnels -- somewhere he knew he would be safe.

An old rabbit warren shows off on his right, and he doesn’t take another second before squeezing himself down into its passages. Even if this were just a normal rabbit den, maybe it would be enough to hide in. The feeling of the cold soil against his belly made him wince, but Dashpaw forced himself to keep pushing through. 

It wasn’t there at first, but the further he pressed, the stronger the scent of clanmates long-gone filled his senses. Though perhaps not maintained in moons, he had been lucky enough to chance an entrance to the labyrinth ▇▇Clan had maintained underground. 

By the grace of StarClan, he was going to make it home.

dashkit became dashpaw and got hurt his first moon, poor guy i'm... tempted to do asks in between moons also, so if anyone has any questions for any of the cats of BuddingClan, feel free! : D

BreezeBelly and his grandson, MaggotKit.

MaggotTail is a WindClan oc who fell in love with a loner. One day, he found kittens on the border, their scent exactly like hers. He immediately felt a sense of dread and took the kits to a queen, as he left to go look for his mate, he heard his clanmates talking about a dead loner they'd found. He didn't go looking.

He named them Doekit, ElkKit and DashKit. As a warrior, ElkHelm became mates with WrenPurr and had MoleKit, ElderKit and MinnowKit. When MoleKit was only a few months old, his mother changed his name. I'm still figuring out why!

MaggotKit spent a lot of his kithood with his grandfather.

When FlameStar was an apprentice, his father had many allegations towards him and in result he pushed FlamePaw away. The only time his father would notice him was in battle, where he had killed a rogue who was attacking his mentor, LadybugCry.

Once he was a warrior, FlameTail, he had his first apprentice, RavenPaw. He also had found his mate, NutmegTail, and had two kits with her, DashKit and Berry Kit. During this time a flood hit AutumnClan, killing the leader, his kit, and his apprentice. He had become deputy, his kit becoming an apprentice. Although LadybugStar had all her lives, Greencough sadly took them all. FlameStar had a new mission to life. To lead his clan as best as he could do. Although he was a smart cat, he had fallen in a stream and lost one of his lives to save an apprentice, BriarPaw.

He had failed that mission, after getting in a battle with WinterClan. WinterClan's leader, ColdStar had struck him in the throat, the last thing he saw was his daughter with a missing eye.

Loudclan - Moon 22: Part 2

The clan receives the news of Eklutna's death in the early hours of the morning. Owlstar asks his mate Siltsplash to take a walk out of camp with him.

Siltsplash breaks up with Owlstar, unable to reckon with his betrayal, but they take his kittens as their own, naming them Songkit, a sweet tom, Dashkit, a quiet tom, and Dancekit, an inquisitive tom. Owlstar is only allowed to visit when Siltsplash is out of the nursery.

[We're back baby! Yay! Owlstar is the baby-daddy! Not yay! This event was the singular thing that made me decide to stick with Loudclan. I needed to know where this shit-show ended up. Owlstar gets to see his kits plenty, don't worry about him, he's just trying to whine his way back into Siltsplash's good graces but Fiercestripe and Weed aren't going to stand for that. Eklutna did manage to make Owlstar the only member of the clan more hated than her, so that's something! Also the "ghost" is not really a ghost it's a hallucination for Siltsplash. You can tell because Eklutna's ghost would not have stayed silent for that long. She has THOUGHTS about Siltsplash raising her kits and those thoughts are "ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT!" Guys I messed up, Dancekit is inquisitive, not quiet, my bad.]

no spoons for a drabble, but a quick thing on suntuft's kits. she gave birth a week before brightstorm to two healthy toms--the brown mackerel tabby is fleetkit, and the sandy speckled kit is dashkit.

(the theme is evidently a need for speed.)

their father is an outsider to the clan who i may expand on in the future, because as we all know, i LOVE me a secret romance... that also isn't rly a secret bcuz she had a whole two kits.

suntuft is unashamed of her kits' heritage being from outside the clan, as she has outsider blood herself and was adopted into dawnclan. oatstar has made no mention of it--he neither feels that any cat should be punished for seeking companionship outside of the clan, but also is intimidated by suntuft, who is a much bigger personality than him, and very beloved by the clan.

there are some cats muttering and displeased about suntuft's choice of having kits with an outsider, but similarly to oatstar, no one is willing to make a stand. suntuft has a very strong support network in the clan, and while lonely by nature, she's aware of the deep connections she has with her clanmates, and that keeps her firm in her belief she has done nothing wrong.
