Flutter is a fantastic cross-platform UI framework widely used for developing apps. Of course, it includes lots of options that are easy to create a rich desktop and mobile web app development. When you hire flutter experts from Flutter Agency, they will know about VS code extensions, shortcuts, and development settings. Visual Studio Code IDE is the perfect option to complete flutter development.
However, VS Code is an excellent IDE for developing apps. If you complete basic setup steps, you must know about shortcuts, extensions, and settings in the development process. Thus, it will boost your workflow rapidly and change a lot within a short time.
VSCode Shortcuts Installation And Setup
Installing the Flutter extension gives you an excellent answer for automating the code. However, it should be effectively undergone with the intuitive format and enabled with the current source code window. They take complete pledge solutions and set them with single-format documents.
Developers must follow the setup editor and follow instructions in the feature update. Updating the extension took a regular shipment and adapted to the extent. The VS c de updates extension carries out the default, and absolute results will happen.
● Click the Extensions button
● Click the Update button
● Reload button
● Restart VS Code
On the other hand, the flutter extension will be easily implemented based on creating projects with standard features. They will notice changes and must adapt to creating Flutter app development projects. Using templates has a salient role in establishing new projects with command options.
What Are The Vscode Shortcuts For Flutter Development?
Visual Studio Code shortcuts and extensions are essential in setting up Flutter app development. It includes es superior options and saves time as well. With more features, it takes a complete pledge solution to set up VS code shortcuts and settings quickly. However, VS Code shortcuts should undergo the development process using a flutter expert.
Of course, below are the lists of VS code shortcuts to know:
Quick Fi
The Quick Fix feature can be easily adapted anywhere based on the developer process. With numerous code actions, the process requires the CMD and enables CTRL+. It allows developers to take a complete pledge solution and follow the flutter widget amazingly designed. These are always flexible and hence suitable for a convenient option for creating data class methods.
Search files by name
The search files by name take a complete pledge solution with excellent shortcuts by opening the files in the projects. However, accessing other features with a maximum shortcut is unnecessary. You can see the keyboard and shortcuts by adapting to CMD+P for MacOS and CTRL+P for Windows.
Show Com and Palette
Show Command Palette allows the users to quickly bring for a search box by setting up accessibility. However, it is also a practical option for controlling them with commands and searching for new ones. They set out CMD+Shift+P, including MacOS, and take a Windows shortcut for your requirements.

Flutter and dart snippets are unique and explore standard widgets. In addition to this, it will explore gaining insert features with VS Code shortcuts for focusing on quick processes. However, it should be adaptive for a snippet for unique options for standard flutter widgets options.
● stless: Insert a StatelessWidget
● stanim: Insert a Stateful Widget using AnimationController
● stful: Insert a StatefulWidget
Of course, mobile app development allows everyone to generate boilerplate code and enables a named widget. Hence, it will allow the snippets to access the standard code blocks. The function of the definitions includes if/else, loops, and many others.
Developers can also check the files that are accepted in Dart snippets. Of course, you can install excellent Flutter snippets extensions with more features. Exploring the superior option for adding valuable snippets for your dependencies is best.
● Dart: Add Dependencies
● Dart: involves the fantastic attribute of providing stability for accessing the new feature.
● Open command palette
● Type "Dart: Add Dependency"
● Get the list of packages available in the pub. Dev:
● Click dependency
● It involves the added pubspec.yaml file
● The process is installed automatically
Keyboard shortcuts list
Of course, Visual Studio Code has to bring forth shortcuts based on the customized options with key bindings. However, it takes a complete solution and configures MacOS and Windows OS.
The command shortcut lists are listed below:
● CMD+K CMD+S for MacOS
● CTRL+K CTRL+S for Windows OS
● Newly Built Modes
Vscode Extensions For Flutter Development
VS code extensions for flutter development have better accessibility. However, it should efficiently deal with the right attachments and notice changes in the flutter development. Hence, developers have a suitable option to follow the extensions in VS Code.
Dart Data Class Generator
The dart data class generator has to rely on extensively creating model classes for accessible functions. However, it includes the best possible things to adapt to different methods in accessing CopyWith(), ToString(),toMap(), fromMap(),toJson(), fromJson(),==, and more. It should be adaptive in creating value and configuring based on code generation. Thus, it is error-prone and enables a dart class generator to be used.
Flutter Riverpod Snippets
Flutter developers are trying to create providers' and consumers' names in the field. However, flutter Riverpod snippets are a fantastic extension to simplify tasks. Thus, it is convenient to download and document the Flutter Riverpod snippets to be evaluated.
Conclusion
Finally, Visual Studio Code VSCode is a family and powerful code editor for setting up Flutter development. You must also know the shortcuts, extensions, and settings to develop apps.
However, Visual Studio Code is an IDE suitable for achieving stable attachments in development. It includes the best method and notices superior options for customizing and enhancing workflow excellently. Know here how to SetUp Emulator For VSCode.
On the other hand, VSCode extensions, shortcuts, and settings are the most useful function for a wider audience. However, the services should be integrated and develop a mobile application with a flutter app design.
You must hire flutter expert to handle everything based on the requirements. Users will get updated mobile apps, consult expert developers, and build custom-centric and feature-rich applications.

Could I request a Kenji x Reader where the reader is an Ailen who is very much stranded on Earth and on The run from the KDF who wants access to their tech
Among the Stars I
Kenji Sato x Alien!Reader
Word Count: 1,766
Genre/Warning: Falling in Love, Friends to Lovers, Slow Burn
Author’s Note: To me, reader is an alien in the sense that she is a foreigner to this planet; how she looks is up to you. Takes place after Emi. AND I THINK AOSHIMA DESERVES RECOGNITION LIKE 🫢 AIN’T HE HOT TOO?????
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
The stars twinkled in the dark expanse of space as you navigated through the cosmos. This wasn’t the first time you traversed through the void. In fact, you were a professional at this.
Being one of the respected astrophysicists of your planet, you have always been one sent on space voyages. Your mission was simple, something you were good at, so what could possibly go wrong?
At least that’s what you thought a few moments ago.
"Engine malfunction detected. Immediate landing required.”
As if the flashing red lights and blaring alarms weren’t enough, the onboard AI wouldn’t shut up either, all of them adding up to the panic in your already pounding heart.
“Engine failure. Emergency landing procedure initiated.”
Your struggle to regain control was hopeless. Assessing your options, Earth was the nearest habitable planet. With no time to spare, you steered the spacecraft towards the blue planet.
The descent was turbulent, flames licking at the hull as the spacecraft entered Earth's atmosphere. You gritted your teeth, fighting to maintain the little control you had left.
Scanning the residential area that stretched beneath, you spotted a forested area and made a split-second decision. With expert precision, your maneuver slowed down the descent just enough to avoid a catastrophic impact.
The spacecraft touched down with a jolt, skidding through the underbrush before coming to a stop. Smoke billowed from the damaged engines and you knew you needed to secure the craft first.
Despite the damage, the emergency propulsion system still had enough power for short-distance travel. With steady hands, you activated the system again, guiding the spacecraft toward a nearby body of water.
The craft hovered momentarily above with a soft hum. Carefully pushing the controls, you maneuvered it into a controlled descent where it submerged beneath the water, disappearing from view.
In the control room of the Kaiju Defense Force, monitors flickered with data streams from satellite scans displaying Japan’s airspace and terrestrial activity.
"Report," Aoshima commanded.
"Sir, we've detected a significant impact in sector 7G. Satellite images indicate a disturbance in the forested area, consistent with an object of considerable mass landing."
Aoshima scrutinized the images, noting the telltale signs of a recent crash landing, “Any signs of the object itself?"
"Negative visual confirmation, sir. The object appears to have made impact and then moved into concealment."
"Prepare a recon team," Aoshima ordered crisply. "I want a full scan of the area. Notify all units in the vicinity to be on alert."
Aoshima contemplated the implications. For years, KDF had struggled against the relentless onslaught of kaiju attacks under Dr. Onda. His last will was for the survival of KDF.
Aoshima shared Dr. Onda’s vision and if this alien technology held the key to turning the tide in humanity's favor, they couldn't afford to hesitate.
Meanwhile, having just emerged from the submerged spacecraft, you cautiously explored the area. Your advanced sensors warned you of Earth's surveillance systems, but you had hoped to remain undetected.
Your hope, however, was short-lived as the sound of whirring and a shadow passing overhead alerted you to the arrival of drones. Quickly, you dashed into the forest, heart pounding as you navigated the unfamiliar terrain.
Above you, the drones buzzed in pursuit, their sensors tracking your every move. Their operators relayed your position to ground units, who quickly mobilized to intercept.
You emerged onto the outskirts of a bustling city. Buildings towered overhead and streets were crowded with unsuspecting pedestrians. You had to blend in to evade capture.
Tokyo has always been bustling with a sea of people moving with purpose. Among them was Kenji and today, his life would take a turn he could never have predicted.
He was jogging through a quieter part of the city when suddenly, a force collided with him, nearly knocking him off balance. Looking down, he saw a woman his age, face partially obscured by a hooded cloak.
You looked up at him, eyes wide with fear. "I'm sorry," you gasped, glancing over your shoulder. "I... I need to go."
Before Kenji could respond, you tried to bolt, but he gently grabbed your arm. "Hey, what's going on?” He asked, genuinely concerned. “You look terrified."
You hesitated, clearly torn between fear and the need for help. Before you could decide, KDF agents appeared at the end of the street.
“Surrender peacefully, and we won't harm you," one of them demanded sternly.
"No," you replied, a slight determination in your trembling voice.
Kenji’s instincts flared. To him, KDF has been nothing but trouble. So without a word, he pulled you behind him, putting himself between you and the agents.
They slowed, eyes narrowing at Kenji. "This is official business," the leader said, his voice cold. "Step aside."
Kenji ignored the command, gripping your hand tighter. "Run," he whispered urgently, before leading you in a sprint away from KDF.
The two of you took off with Kenji guiding you through a series of narrow alleyways and bustling streets.
"Over here," he whispered, pulling you into a side street. You dodged through a market, running between stalls and startled shoppers. The KDF was temporarily delayed by the crowd, buying you precious seconds.
Kenji's heart pounded, both from the exertion and the adrenaline. "Keep your hood up," he urged you. "We can't let them see your face."
You continued running, the sound of pursuit growing fainter. Kenji led you through a maze of side streets, finally emerging onto a quieter residential road.
"Almost there," he panted, squeezing your hand reassuringly.
Finally, you reached a house guarded by a big gate on the outskirts of the city. Kenji quickly unlocked the gate and ushered you towards the house.
Inside, Kenji guided you to the living room, where you sank onto the couch, hood falling back and revealing your face.
“Mina, emergency analysis,” he said as a spherical robot hovered towards you, red light scanning your body.
"Scan complete," Mina announced. "Subject is experiencing elevated stress levels and minor physical exhaustion. No immediate threats and no tracking devices detected.”
"Thank you," you said, voice filled with gratitude and lingering fear.
Kenji nodded, breathing heavily. "Are you okay?"
You nodded, her gaze lingering on him with a mix of surprise and curiosity, “I didn't expect anyone to help."
"I'm Kenji," he introduced himself, extending a hand.
You hesitated briefly before shaking his hand, "I'm (y/n)."
"You can catch your breath here,” Kenji said, standing up. “I'll get us some water." He returned with two glasses of water; you accepted one gratefully.
"Why were those guys after you?" Kenji asked, his curiosity piqued.
"I'm not from Earth. I'm…” you hesitated but you owed him an explanation and also to save you from the trouble of pretending. “…an alien."
"An alien?” He blinked in surprise. “But you look human."
"Alien in the sense that I'm from a distant planet," you explained softly. "I crash-landed here not long ago.”
You told him everything—your mission, how you ended up being chased by what he referred to as the Kaiju Defense Force, and your spacecraft.
“I would like to ask another favor if it’s not too much,” you said with hesitation; Kenji helping you escape and sheltering you was already more than enough. “I need you to help me find Ultraman.”
You knew about Ultraman and his origin. You’ve been sent to Nebula M78 a couple of times already. If there’s someone who could help you get back to your planet, it’s him.
“Ultraman?” Kenji's eyes widened. “Why?"
“I know of him,” you said. "He might be the only one who can help me.”
Kenji took a deep breath, realizing he couldn't keep his secret any longer. "Well, there’s something you should know,” he said.
“What is it?” You asked, confused.
He looked straight into your eyes, his face set with resolve, “I'm Ultraman."
The room fell silent. "You're...” your eyes widened. “Ultraman?"
Kenji nodded, “Yes, and I’m not supposed to tell anyone but if helping you means revealing it, then so be it."
Your eyes teared up with joy. Just when you thought that this day was full of bad luck, here came your silver lining—a stunning man one at that.
Kenji asked you about the whereabouts of your spacecraft so he, in his Ultraman form, can bring it here in no time. His house had a basement submerged underwater which provided an easy way to bring it over.
His dad, the previous Ultra, happened to live with him. Kenji explained the situation and his dad, an expert in this field, generously offered to help.
Hayao circled the craft, examining it closely. "Impressive design," he muttered, running his hands over the hull. "But clearly, it's been through a lot."
"I think it’s the power core," you explained. "It was heavily depleted during the crash, and I can't get the ship operational again."
"I see. A power core like this...” Hayao nodded thoughtfully. “…it's incredibly advanced. Recharging it with Earth's technology would be almost impossible."
"So, there's no way to fix it?" You looked at him, worried and on the brink of tears.
"Not exactly,” he smiled reassuringly. “While we can't recharge it with conventional means, there might be another way. We need an alternative energy source—something with immense power."
"What about the energy that powers Ultraman?” Kenji stepped forward. “Could it work?"
Hayao considered this, nodding slowly. "It's possible,” he said. “Ultraman's energy is vast and unique. We might be able to transfer some of it to the power core."
Your eyes lit up with hope, “Do you think it could really work?" Hayao placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder, "It's worth a try.”
He explained that he would first need to create an energy transfer device. But with the resources here on Earth, it’s a trial and error to see which would be compatible with your spacecraft. Needless to say, it would take a lot longer before you could go back home.
Kenji led you down a hallway to a cozy guest room. He opened the door, revealing a spacious room with a bed, a dresser, and a big window overlooking the bay.
“You can stay here until we figure everything out,” Kenji said. “It's safer than being out there with the KDF looking for you."
"Are you sure?” You looked up at him. “I don't want to be a burden."
"You're not a burden,” he smiled reassuringly. “I’ll leave you to get some rest. We've got a lot to do tomorrow."
With that, you settled into the room with a sense of peace for the first time since crashing on Earth.

First, let’s address the fact that hackers recently accessed the personal data of about 14,000 23andMe customers. Because of how 23andMe works—it has a “DNA Relatives” feature that lets users find people they are probably related to—this breach created 6.9 million “other users” who had data stolen in the breach, according to reporting by TechCrunch. This data included people’s names, birth year, relationships, percentage of DNA shared with other 23andMe users, and ancestry reports.
[...]
Getting your DNA or your loved ones’ DNA sequenced means you are potentially putting people who are related to those people at risk in ways that are easily predictable, but also in ways we cannot yet predict because these databases are still relatively new. I am writing this article right now because of the hack, but my stance on this issue has been the same for years, for reasons outside of the hack. In 2016, I moderated a panel at SXSW called “Is Your Biological Data Safe?,” which was broadly about the privacy implications of companies and other entities creating gigantic databases of people’s genetic code. This panel’s experts included a 23andMe executive as well as an FBI field agent. Everyone on the panel and everyone in the industry agrees that genetic information is potentially very sensitive, and the use of DNA to solve crimes is obviously well established.  At the time, many of the possible dangers of providing your genome to a DNA sequencing company were hypothetical. Since then, many of the hypothetical issues we discussed have become a reality in one way or another. For example, on that panel, we discussed the work of an artist who was turning lost strands of hair, wads of chewing gum, and other found DNA into visual genetic “portraits” of people. Last year, the Edmonton Police Service, using a company called Parabon, used a similar process to create 3D images of crime suspects using DNA from the case. The police had no idea if the portrait they generated actually looked like the suspect they wanted, and the practice is incredibly concerning. To its credit, 23andMe itself has steadfastly resisted law enforcement requests for information, but other large databases of genetic information have been used to solve crimes. Both 23andMe and Ancestry are regularly the recipients of law enforcement requests for data, meaning police do see these companies as potentially valuable data mines.

Hybrids in Little Tail Bronx A Ramble
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This will be an extensive ramble into the nature of hybrids or just some things I've noticed about them. If I get anything wrong feel free to correct me in the comments.I am no were near an expert on Little Tail Bronx lore hahahah... Also SPOILERS for Solatorobo, its side material and the Fuga Melodies of Steel Trilogy!!!
What are Hybrids?
Hybrids are artificial beings created by Juno to pilot/operate Juno technology. Visually they are indistinguishable from humans but are capable of great feats of power. We've only seen one Hybrid was created by Juno, Baion. The rest were either made by the Anti-Juno organization Crusade pre-reset, or by Merveille and Baion post-reset. This doesn't mean other people did not try to create Hybrids, they just haven't been shown yet...
Types of Non-Juno Hybrids
Tumblr media
Crusade Hybrids were made for two purposes, to be fauder for the Soul Cannon and to pilot the Belenos. They are fully humanoid except for cat ear headsets and metallic tails, which could be appendages used to operate Crusade's versions of Juno tech. All of these Hybrids are created as children, this could be due to Crusade not having enough resources or information to create the fully grown Hybrids that Juno makes. Most of these child Hybrids did not survive experimentation and Soul Cannon usage and were deemed as failures. The only survivor Jihl, was the only one who could be fired from the Soul Cannon Multiple times and he was to closest to making the Belenos actually work.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Converted Hybrids are Caninu and Felineko children who were experimented on by Baion. Four of the seven Red Data Children were converted, not created. I don't know how many children were taken for these experiments, but much like the Crusade most were deemed "failures" and disposed of, or in the case of 9071 they died off early on. Ironically, Baion is repeating the same atrocities as the humanity of the past (Crusade). Quynne is barely talked about but he is actually a Converted Hybrid who helped Carmine escape the facility and adjust to his new life. Some Converted Hybrids seem to have specific abilities an example is 9071 he had empathic abilities and if I'm remembering correctly Carmine has some form of future vision. (Seriously THESE guys were considered failures??? Baion your standards are too stinkin' HIGH).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pseudo Hybrids technically refer to all Hybrids that were not made by Juno, but here I'm specifically talking about the ones Merveille created. She used her and Baion's DNA to create Blank, Nero, and Red. They are in human form (Trance form) a majority of the time but if they exhaust their power, they turn back into Caninu, a trait they share with Converted Hybrids. However, this isn't the case for Red. He is a Caninu most of the time but can achieve Trance when certain conditions are met. This is because he was intentionally made "imperfect" so he can learn and grow exponentially unlike any Hybrid before him.
Tumblr media
Hybrids are Tools
Hybrids constantly use their lifeforce to control Juno technology. They are glorified keys for the cars that are Titano-Machina. I think if the power needed to do so is not too high Hybrids can use powerful Juno like technology with little to no consequences. Jihl being used in the Soul Cannon multiple times, Red surviving the Rite of Forfeit, etc... But if the power proves too great for them it could be fatal. Like when Jihl gave his life to revive Hannah or 9071 dying to the Rite of Forfeit because he wasn't a normal Hybrid like Red (and he wanted to die). This may explain why the people who create Hybrids are so...picky, being weak is not an option for these artificial beings. It's a manufactured survival of the fittest. What makes it all the more horrible is the fact that most Hybrids are children, they have thoughts and feelings, but their creators often disregard this. Failures are eradicated, Sucesses must fulfill their purpose no matter what, even then they are still discarded afterwards.
Tumblr media
Some of My Hybrid Headcanons, Theories, and Trivia
Headcannon: Most of the Converted Hybrids are Caninu because of the race's association with technology, the Caninu majority of Shepherd, or Baion could have been concerned that Felineko Hybrids proficient with Nono could backfire when piloting Titano-Machina.
Theory: The Crimson Knights of Fuga 3 may be Hybrids! They each have individual powers like some Hybrids. The Berman Empire has advanced technology, they were able to create they Tarascus after all. And for what reason does Ash look like Carmine if not to make a visual association with Hybrids.
Headcannon: There could be more Hybrids who escaped from Baion's experiments. Look if Quyanne can escape and go unnoticed for a decade I think it's plausible that there are more wondering Shepherd or other parts of the post-reset world. (Free material for Hybrid Fan characters)
Trivia: The Red Data Children's color code names relate to red failure slips. Red, Rose, Carmine, Vermilion, Rouge, Crimson (Quynne). The exceptions are Nero and Blanck who are seen as successes.
Theory: Jihl's mother could be a narrative parallel to Merveille. Both eventually saw the Hybrids they created as their children. While Merveille was able to rebel from Baion by creating Red and in turn saving the Hybrids she made, Jihl's mother had little options except for sacrificing herself to spare Jihl from the torture of being Soul Cannon fuel.
WHOOOooo That's all...Hybrids are one of the most interesting aspects of the LTB universe in my opinion. I just wanted to talk about these guys (and do a little bit of Fuga 3 theorizing before it comes out)
TLDR Being a Hybrid kind of sucks (aside from the cool powers) Thank you for reading my Furry TedTalk

Over the past couple of decades, a number of US government officials have left their roles for lucrative jobs at tech companies. Plenty of tech executives have also departed to take leadership positions inside federal agencies. But four experts who track the federal workforce tell WIRED they were stunned last week by a development unlike any other they could recall: The Department of Treasury internally announced that Tom Krause had been appointed its fiscal assistant secretary, but that he would simultaneously continue his job as CEO of the company Cloud Software Group.
Krause is now in charge of both a sensitive government payment system and a company that has millions of dollars’ worth of active contracts with various federal agencies through distribution partners, according to a WIRED review of searchable spending records. The Department of Treasury alone accounts for a dozen ongoing contracts tied to Krause’s company that are together valued between $7.3 million to $11.8 million. These include licenses for the data visualization tool ibi WebFocus and purchases of systems called Citrix NetScaler that help manage traffic to apps. (Some publicly posted procurement records do not break out contract details, so actual figures may be even higher.)
Critics have expressed concern about the alleged conflicts of interest posed by Krause’s decision to keep his role in the private sector. Cloud Software could benefit from extending its federal contracts or securing additional ones, though there is no public evidence that Krause has done anything improper with his dual roles. Existing federal regulations also bar actual and apparent unjust favoritism in contracting. “Public trust in those safeguards is nonnegotiable,” says Scott Amey, general counsel at the Project on Government Oversight, a nonpartisan watchdog group.
As Krause moves forward with two jobs, he could have to potentially navigate not only contracting conflicts, but also dueling crises. “What would happen if a Citrix emergency emerges at the same time as Treasury obligations?” says Jeff Hauser, founder and executive director of the Revolving Door Project, which researches federal appointees. “Generally, the thicket of restrictions on full-time employees would make a CEO role impossible in an administration which took adherence to ethics laws seriously.”
Krause, the Treasury Department, and Cloud Software didn’t respond to requests for comment. Cloud Software investors also didn’t respond to a request for comment.
The Treasury Department has told Congress that Krause is a “special government employee”—a type of temporary role—that is supposed to be held to “the same ethical standards of privacy, confidentiality, conflicts of interest assessment, and professionalism of other government employees.” In a foreword to a code of conduct policy posted on Cloud Software’s website, Krause states, “Cloud Software Group is committed to ensuring that its business is conducted ethically, in compliance with the law, and according to its values of integrity, honesty and respect.”
Krause is among a group of several dozen veteran tech executives, mid-level tech operations managers, and fresh-out-of-school software coders who have been recently installed across a series of federal agencies under the auspices of the self-styled Department of Government Efficiency. DOGE’s authority is being challenged by some Democratic state attorneys general. In the meantime, its representatives have been carrying out an order from President Donald Trump to cut costs and modernize technology across the government.
There is some precedent for corporate executives to simultaneously work in the US government. When the US was at war in the early 1900s, the federal government recruited business leaders to fill key posts. They retained their private sector jobs and wages; the government pitched in a $1 annual salary to the executives who became known as “dollar-a-year men.” Congress later raised concerns that some of them had engaged in self-dealing.
Since then, other executives have continued to retain their jobs as they serve on government boards and commissions, typically in a part-time capacity. But maintaining a day-to-day operational role in both the federal government and at a corporation is now virtually unheard of, says David E. Lewis, a political scientist who wrote a book on appointed government bureaucrats. “Most persons in regular executive positions divest themselves of private interests before government service,” he says.
Trump, according to his company, has handed management of his businesses, including hotels and golf courses, to his children for the duration of his presidency (though he reportedly still takes meetings that have raised questions among ethics experts). Musk, who is CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and has oversight of four other companies, including X and Neuralink, has been a vocal figure in DOGE’s operations, but the White House has said he’s not actually in charge—without specifying who is leading the project. Some of the other individuals associated with DOGE are otherwise unemployed, have taken leave, or maintain dual roles but at lower levels than chief executive.
Krause is the only Trump administration official identified so far as being a CEO and a day-to-day decisionmaker inside one particular agency. After years of working as an executive at chip companies, Krause joined Florida-based Cloud Software Group in 2022. The company was created that year as part of a private-equity-backed acquisition of Citrix, followed by a merger with Tibco, another tech company. At the time, Citrix was saddled with an extensive amount of debt and generating essentially stagnant revenues, and while Tibco had not recently publicly disclosed its finances, analysts had considered the company’s outlook to be “negative.”
The US government, including state and local agencies, is expected to spend $287 billion on technology this year, or about 14 percent of overall US tech spending, according to Forrester, a research and advisory company. Whether DOGE’s efforts to boost the quality and efficiency of federal IT systems will lead that spending to increase or decrease isn’t clear. So far, DOGE has both tried to purchase emerging technologies and moved to cancel some existing contracts. But Krause’s inside access could potentially provide an advantage to Cloud Software at a pivotal moment for the company.
Over the past couple of years, Cloud Software has laid off thousands of people and faced accusations that it potentially became lax with cybersecurity. Cloud Software’s most well-known offering, Citrix, enables groups of workers to access data and run apps that are located on a remote machine. But increasing adoption of tools that can operate on any device has chipped away at some of Citrix’s dominance, according to Will McKeon-White, senior analyst for infrastructure and operations at Forrester. There are other options now, he says, including from Microsoft and smaller companies such as Island.
Cloud Software’s Tibco program, which helps workers automate tasks such as adding a new user to multiple internal databases, is often mentioned in the wrong sort of conversations these days, according to David Mooter, a Forrester principal analyst. “They tend to come up more when somebody wants to abandon them,” he says.
That said, some Cloud Software services are more affordable than alternatives for governments, and they also are better suited for the older infrastructure used by some agencies. Last year appears to have been one of Citrix’s best in a long time financially, says Shannon Kalvar, a research director for enterprise systems management and other areas at IDC. One reason for the upswing is that Citrix has put more emphasis on catering to the feature demands of its largest customers, including governments.

or: how I see werewolves and how I made them fit into the universe A Night to Remember is set in
Bear, the werewolf featured in A Knot to Remember and A Hug to Remember, comes from a long line of shapeshifters, allowing him to turn into a large black bear, a big wolf or a fox (if he's feeling playful) on his own will.
He was cursed with lycanthropy by a shaman.
He can't control turning into a werewolf, which happens only one week a month (from three days before to three days after a full moon) and only during the active hours of the moon (between moonrise and moonset*).
(*While writing my A Night to Remember series, I did not properly research when the moon rises and sets in late October, so you'll find that the moon is actually present during the night which isn't possible as it set around 5pm on Halloween (if I look at the 2024 data), but as a reminder: I write fantasy stories and I didn't know any better, and I might do the same mistake again because it'll fit the plot better. So, uh, yeah.)
He learned to control his urges over the years/decades (age is undisclosed, but he's older than you think).
He used to be a ravenous beast, unable to control himself, but managed to find and ground himself with meditation and herbs/teas/drugs?
He can't turn others into werewolves, as it's part of his curse, forcing him to live alone.
(The curse came from an angry shaman. His family used to take care of a large piece of land. When others came, they built a house on their grounds, forcing them to either leave or work for them. They settled for the role of groundskeeper, but some of his tribe were against it. The shaman cursed the house to slip in and out of existence, trapping the inhabitants inside, and his family to turn into monsters (werewolves) to further keep people away from the land.)
He can still make someone his mate, marking them, and other supernatural beings (e.g. vampires) will know that particular human is taken.
(By the way, the vampires living in the cemetery near the house were also cursed. They used to belong to the house but weren't inside when the curse hit, so they turned into the bloodsuckers the shaman thought they were.)
Bear is the last of his kind and is very focused on producing heirs (though it's not clear if he's even fertile, the curse may have taken that away as well – only one way to find out, right?)
Disclaimer: I don't claim to be an expert in folklore or history or geography (or even moon phases apparently), I basically know nothing and I do not mean to offend anyone's beliefs or customs or traditions. I just take snippets from all the things I've heard and read and seen, and build them into my own little Frankenstein's monster-esque lore. Just as I see fit. You may see things differently, and that's completely fine. But I am the author of these little stories and this is how my brain works. And I hope this list helped you understand it a little better. Thank you for giving me your time!
See below for some visuals!

Research 101: Last part
#Citing sources and the bibliography:
Citation has various functions: ■■ To acknowledge work by other researchers. ■■ To anchor your own text in the context of different disciplines. ■■ To substantiate your own claims; sources then function like arguments with verification.
Tumblr media
Use Mendeley:
It has a number of advantages in comparison to other software packages: (1) it is free, (2) it is user-friendly, (3) you can create references by dragging a PDF file into the program (it automatically extracts the author, title, year, etc.), (4) you can create references by using a browser plug-in to click on a button on the page where you found an article, (5) you can share articles and reference lists with colleagues, and (6) it has a ‘web importer’ to add sources rapidly to your own list.
plagiarism – and occasionally even fraud – are sometimes detected, too. In such cases, appeals to ignorance (‘I didn’t know that it was plagiarism’) are rarely accepted as valid reasons for letting the perpetrator off the hook.
#Peer review
For an official peer review of a scholarly article, 3-4 experts are appointed by the journal to which the article has been submitted. These reviewers give anonymous feedback on the article. As a reviewer, based on your critical reading, you can make one of the following recommendations to the editor of the journal: ■■Publish as submitted. The article is good as it is and can be published (this hardly ever happens). ■■Publish after minor revisions. The article is good and worth publishing, but some aspects need to be improved before it can be printed. If the adjustments can be made easily (for example, a small amount of rewriting, formatting figures), these are considered minor revisions. ■■Publish after major revisions. The article is potentially worth publishing, but there are significant issues that need to be reconsidered. For example, setting up additional (control) experiments, using a new method to analyse the data, a thorough review of the theoretical framework (addition of important theories), and gathering new information (in an archive) to substantiate the argumentation. ■■Reject. The research is not interesting, it is not innovative, or it has been carried out/written up so badly that this cannot be redressed.
#Checklist for analysing a research article or paper 1 Relevance to the field (anchoring) a What is the goal of the research or paper? b To what extent has this goal been achieved? c What does the paper or research article add to knowledge in the field? d Are theories or data missing? To what extent is this a problem? 2 Methodology or approach a What approach has been used for the research? b Is this approach consistent with the aim of the research? c How objective or biased is this approach? d How well has the research been carried out? What are the methodological strengths and/or weaknesses? e Are the results valid and reliable? 3 Argumentation and use of evidence a Is there a clear description of the central problem, objective, or hypothesis? b What claims are made? c What evidence underlies the argument? d How valid and reliable is this evidence? e Is the argumentation clear and logical? f Are the conclusions justified? 4 Writing style and structure of the text a Is the style of the text suitable for the medium/audience? b Is the text structured clearly, so the reader can follow the writer’s line of argumentation? c Are the figures and tables displayed clearly?
#Presenting ur research:
A few things are always important, in any case, when it comes to guiding the audience through your story: ■■ Make a clear distinction between major and minor elements. What is the key theme of your story, and which details does your audience need in order to understand it? ■■ A clearly structured, coherent story. ■■ Good visual aids that represent the results visually. ■■ Good presentation skills.
TIPS ■■Find out everything about the audience that you’ll be presenting your story to, and look at how you can ensure that your presentation is relevant for them.
Ask yourself the following questions: •What kind of audience will you have (relationship with audience)? •What does the audience already know about your topic and how can you connect with this (knowledge of the audience)? •What tone or style should you adopt vis-à-vis the audience (style of address)? •What do you want the audience to take away from your presentation?
■■If you know there is going to be a round of questions, include some extra slides for after the conclusion. You can fill these extra slides with all kinds of detailed information that you didn’t have time for during the presentation. If you’re on top of your material, you’ll be able to anticipate which questions might come up. It comes over as very professional if you’re able to back up an answer to a question from the audience with an extra graph or table, for example.
■■Think about which slide will be shown on the screen as you’re answering questions at the end of your presentation. A slide with a question mark is not informative. It’s more useful for the audience if you end with a slide with the main message and possibly your contact details, so that people are able to contact you later. ■■Think beforehand about what you will do if you’re under time pressure. What could you say more succinctly or even omit altogether?
This has a number of implications for a PowerPoint presentation: ■■ Avoid distractions that take up cognitive space, such as irrelevant images, sounds, too much text/words on a slide, intense colours, distracting backgrounds, and different fonts. ■■ Small chunks of information are easier to understand and remember. This is the case for both the text on a slide and for illustrations, tables, and graphs. ■■ When you are talking to your audience, it is usually better to show a slide with a picture than a slide with a lot of text. What you should do: ■■ Ensure there is sufficient contrast between your text and the background. ■■ Ensure that all of the text is large enough (at least 20 pt). ■■ Use a sans-serif font; these are the easiest to read when enlarged. ■■ Make the text short and concise. Emphasize the most important concepts by putting them in bold or a different colour. ■■ Have the texts appear one by one on the slide, in sync with your story. This prevents the audience from ‘reading ahead’. ■■ Use arrows, circles, or other ways of showing which part of an illustration, table, or graph is important. You can also choose to fade out the rest of the image, or make a new table or graph showing only the relevant information.
A good presentation consists of a clear, substantive story, good visual aids, and effective presentation techniques.
Stand with both feet firmly on the ground.
Use your voice and hand gestures.
Make eye contact with all of your audience.
Add enough pauses/use punctuation.
Silences instead of fillers.
Think about your position relative to your audience and the screen.
Explaining figures and tables.
Keep your hands calm.
Creating a safe atmosphere
Do not take a position yourself. This limits the discussion, because it makes it trickier to give a dissenting opinion.
You can make notes on a whiteboard or blackboard, so that everyone can follow the key points.
Make sure that you give the audience enough time to respond.
Respond positively to every contribution to the discussion, even if it doesn’t cut any ice.
Ensure that your body language is open and that you rest your arms at your sides.
#Points to bear in mind when designing a poster
TIPS 1 Think about what your aim is: do you want to pitch a new plan, or do you want to get your audience interested in your research? 2 Explain what you’ve done/are going to do: focus on the problem that you’ve solved/want to solve, or the question that you’ve answered. Make it clear why it is important to solve this problem or answer this question. 3 Explain what makes your approach unique. 4 Involve your audience in the conversation by concluding with an open question. For example: how do you research…? Or, after a pitch for a method to tackle burnout among staff: how is burnout dealt with in your organization?

When I followed all the instructions to turn off gemini, it made it so I can't view my inbox with categories filtered out anymore (ie 'updates' and 'promotions' and 'social' are all just in my main inbox now). Just guessing since you added the visual instructions that you may be someone who knows how to fix this, if there is a way? I'll live with it if there isn't.
Oh my... I'm not really using those features, I sort my emails manually, so I don't think about writing a warning for that, sorry 😅 And I'm not an expert, I'm just someone who like messing around in privacy setting to see which one can be turn on or off. A trial and error method, to be honest, so it may not be suitable for all😅
About your problem, well... in short, our googoo overlord has imbedded the gemini assistant into their "smart features" and you have to turn it on to have your emails sorted based on your past references, something like this.
Tumblr media
If you really need that, you can click on that link and just accept, or you can go back to your Drive setting>privacy>manage workspace[...] button and turn on the first one.
Tumblr media
but then, the AI assistant will have access to your data 🤷
This is some kind of trade-off, I guess? They really tell us to choose our data OR our convenience/workflow 😑
Well, personally, I think you should click on the link "Gemini for workspace features" and give it a careful read. If you found their terms are acceptable enough, just turn it back on again.
I hope this can be of help 🙇
