sometimes i really hate technology
my laptop ran games just fine for the first month after I bought it (back in 2020) and then the graphics stopped performing well.
fast forwarding 4 years later, i have done the usual (repasting, cleaning up once a year, etc) but no avail
until i reset the laptop and THE GRAPHICS STARTED WORKING WELL AGAIN??? alas for only a month, AGAIN. guess what the problem was.
last week i downgraded the graphics drivers back to the factory drivers and BAM I can run everything well now. what the fuck? why the fuck would they do that to me...

Battery Performance of the iPhone 16e Stands Out
As the iPhone 16e hits stores tomorrow, early reviews have already highlighted one of its standout features: battery life. Tech enthusiasts and critics alike have praised the new entry-level iPhone for its ability to last longer on a single charge. But how does its battery compare to the rest of the iPhone lineup? Unlike Apple’s usual approach of measuring battery life through usage scenarios like video playback, YouTuber Dave Lee from the Dave2D channel has provided a clear breakdown of the actual battery capacity of the 16e.
According to Lee, the 16e features a 3961 mAh battery, which is larger than the base iPhone 16 model. Here’s how it compares to the other models in the lineup:
iPhone 16: 3561 mAh
iPhone 16 Plus: 4674 mAh
iPhone 16e: 3961 mAh
iPhone 16 Pro: 3582 mAh
iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4685 mAh
Notably, the 16e also surpasses the battery capacities of previous iPhone generations, including the iPhone 15 (3561 mAh) and iPhone 14 (3349 mAh). The difference is even more striking when compared to the now-discontinued iPhone SE 3, which had a significantly smaller 2018 mAh battery.
How the iPhone 16e’s Battery Life Measures Up?
Apple typically markets battery life based on expected video playback durations, and the iPhone 16e performs well in this regard:
iPhone 16: Up to 18 hours of streaming video or 22 hours of offline playback
iPhone 16 Plus: Up to 24 hours of streaming video or 27 hours of offline playback
iPhone 16e: Up to 21 hours of streaming video or 26 hours of offline playback
iPhone 16 Pro: Up to 22 hours of streaming video or 27 hours of offline playback
iPhone 16 Pro Max: Up to 29 hours of streaming video or 33 hours of offline playback
Compared to the iPhone SE 3, which managed only 10 hours of streaming or 15 hours of offline video playback, the iPhone 16e represents a significant leap in battery endurance. In real-world testing, tech outlets such as Engadget have reported that the 16e lasts well over 24 hours unplugged, while MKBHD has praised its “really good battery.”
What makes the iPhone 16e’s Battery Last Longer?
Beyond the increase in battery capacity, another key factor contributing to the iPhone 16e’s improved battery performance is Apple’s new C1 chip. This is the company’s first in-house 5G modem, designed to consume significantly less power than previous modem generations. Lab tests confirm that the C1 chip helps extend battery life by reducing energy consumption during connectivity tasks.
The 16e is now available for purchase, starting at $599 for the 128GB version. Consumers also have the option to explore other iPhone models at discounted rates. With its strong battery performance and optimized power efficiency, the 16e presents an appealing choice for users seeking a balance of affordability and longevity in their devices.

Without knowing Dave2D or if the laptop exists, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it doesn't exist and David Techboy over here is talking about how "futuristic and convenient" it would be to have two screens while casually avoiding the fact that it'd cost almost the same as two tablets and either weigh a metric tonne or suffer the battery life of a potato powered generator.
i need to know exactly the kind of scenario where anyone in the entire world would need a laptop like this and could justify the cost and inconveniences this bears.

These OLED displays offer brighter visuals and more vibrant colors, along with a longer lifespan. However, recent tests have shown that the M4 versions actually have slightly worse battery life compared to the previous M1 models with mini-LED screens. Popular YouTuber Dave2D conducted testing on the new iPad Pro models, revealing that the M1 variant performed better in battery endurance tests when streaming Netflix at 250 nits brightness. The 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro outlasted the 11-inch M4 iPad Pro, with the larger 13-inch M4 model falling behind due to its bigger display consuming more power. Even at maximum brightness, the M1 version showed better battery life results. In a Genshin Impact loop test at maximum brightness, the smaller M4 iPad Pro models managed to outshine the M1 model in terms of battery endurance, particularly during gaming sessions. While the differences in battery life between the models may not be significant for most users, the Tandem OLED technology definitely enhances the overall media viewing experience. Overall, the new M4 iPad Pro models offer improved display quality but may sacrifice a bit in battery performance compared to their predecessors. AMD RDNA 3 vs. Intel Arc iGPUs : Gaming supremacy

When compared to AMD RDNA 3, Intel Arc iGPUs on Meteor Lake CPUs
Since AMD began providing its APUs with powerful integrated graphics, Intel’s advantage in the iGPU market has steadily decreased. AMD’s hold on the market was solidified at the time by the Vega iGPU family, but with RDNA, the red team opened up a whole new range of products that offered small PCs and handhelds with top-notch graphics performance. As for Intel’s Iris Xe solutions, its graphics performance was lacking and will now be greatly improved with the release of the Intel Arc iGPUs in the Core Ultra line. To provide competitive gaming performance.
Under the code name “Xe-LPG,” three different Arc Alchemist iGPU configurations are installed in Intel Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” CPUs.
There are three different configurations available: eight, seven, and four cores. When utilizing faster memory, like LPDDR5X, the GPUs can overclock to 2350 MHz (Core Ultra 9 185H) and provide a significant boost in performance. Along with other things, these GPUs support AV1, XeSS (DP4a), and DX12 Ultimate.
All things considered, these Intel Arc iGPUs are a crucial part of Chipzilla’s most recent CPUs. Since They have already seen synthetic benchmarks for the Intel Arc iGPU, today’s news focuses exclusively on gaming benchmarks. Golden Pig Upgrade (Bilibili) carried out the tests, which comprised testing a variety of games at both high and low settings and 1080p resolution.
The highest configurations of the AMD RDNA 3 and Intel Arc iGPUs seem to be quite competitive with each other, winning an identical amount of games at low 1080p resolution.
The Arc iGPU of the Core Ultra 7 155H outperforms in 7 out of 8 games evaluated in the 1080p High testing. Even yet, the RDNA 3 graphics solution trails behind the Core Ultra 5 125H. Additionally, the analysis demonstrates that the Meteor Lake CPUs are now nearly as fast as the discrete GTX 1650 Max-Q GPUs and far quicker than NVIDIA’s MX solutions.
Because of the 100 MHz clock speed differential, the Core Ultra 9 185H’s iGP clearly performs better than the Core Ultra 7 155H. The LPDDR5X-7467 memory is used in the results, which explains why the RDNA 3 GPUs do not scale as well as the faster Meteor Lake Arc iGPUs.
Although having quicker RAM is usually desired, it should be remembered that these computers are always more expensive. The Meteor Lake laptops are priced in a very expensive sector based on their prior prices. Consequently, it is important to recognize that AMD has a price edge with its Ryzen 7040/8040 range of laptops. The power efficiency performance data is the last one. It demonstrates that while AMD is superior at lower TDPs below 25W, Core Ultra 100H CPUs outperform AMD Ryzen 7040 “Phoenix” CPUs in the graphics domain at 28W TDPs.
With TDP ratings of 9–15W, Intel also offers the more power-efficient Core Ultra 100U processors, which would be a better option for entry-level and mobile gadgets that are anticipated to enter the market in the upcoming months.
The Intel Core Ultra Arc iGPU outperforms AMD’s RDNA 3 iGPUs in gaming, according to tests published by a number of tech sites. Tests conducted by Dave2D, HardwareCanucks, and Jarrod’s Tech all demonstrate competitive placement versus AMD’s RDNA 3 GPUs and considerable performance increases over prior generation Iris/UHD GPU systems. These figures also provide insight into AMD’s possible decision to maintain the same specifications and clock rates in its RDNA 3 GPUs for the Ryzen 8040 “Hawk Point” update.
AMD can likely provide a performance bump in places where they are not as strong as they could be, or when the Intel Arc iGPUs is only marginally faster, via driver upgrades. Although Intel has also issued a new driver, should anticipate more advancements on the driver front from both sides as competition in the Intel Arc iGPUs market is expected to resume.
This will be particularly important for the next generation of gaming handhelds that utilize these Intel Arc iGPUs solutions, which are built on the AMD RDNA 3 and Intel Arc architectures. When tiny PCs are released, it will be fascinating to observe the full potential of Intel Arc iGPUs, as these chips can scale up to 115W (Core Ultra 9 185H) and have unlimited access to greater power, which can result in notable performance boosts and excellent overclocking capabilities. The Core Ultra iGPU department has more enhancements in store as additional devices and solutions become available, so these performance figures are only a taste of what’s to come.
