inspired by fifteen trying to say shit and getting censored by the nanny filter, here’s a complete table of every doctors who and whether or not they use strong language
1 - no
2 - yeah
3 - rarely, but accurately and directly, in a dignified and sarcastic fashion
4 - ABSOLUTELY all the time. the tardis filter barely copes. we’ve all seen the K-9 clip, that’s what the character sounds like without the kids show censorship
5 - no. does he look like a man who swears to you? maybe some esoteric combination of words like fuckadoodle shitnozzles
6 - yes. duh
7 - he doesn’t enjoy it, but occasionally, sparingly, when the situation calls for it
8 - definitely . not too frequently, though. for emphasis, or for a laugh
9 - that man is a working class northerner from the 2000s and a jaded war veteran. draw your own conclusions. he knows elaborate insults you’ve never heard of
10 - cheeky little ‘fuck’ here and there with rose & martha, ALL THE TIME with donna, and swearing like hell when he starts going off the rails in the s4 specials
11 - lol no. well… he’s got an example to set to the companions that he treats like children. he’s a storybook character and he wants to be perceived as an imaginary friend, a kind almost victorian whimsical gentleman in a bowtie, and a person like that wouldn’t use crude language. with river song though? now THAT’S a whole other story
12 - the scene in dark water with the psychic paper tells us everything we need to know. twelve in series 8 was straight up pg13ified malcolm tucker. shuttity-up-up-up without the tardis filter sounds like fuckity-bye. he swears liberally, frequently, unsparingly and unceremoniously, at everyone without distinction, including clara’s students at coal hill. personally i think that’s one hell! of a fucking! bird!
13 - no. she’s all famalam hipster mum cringy kindergarten teacher. it doesn’t fit her ~vibe~. the master makes fun of this trait in the timeless children when he’s goading her about her superiority complex. says it’s such a step down from her previous self, at least that one was honest about his emotions
fugitive - she gives no fucks and takes no shit
14 - yes from time to time, like a normal human being would, nothing excessive. donna does bring it out in him though. his mouthy side
15 - this guy says cunt and serves it

thinking about that theory that peekaboo is a sliver of the wight in the locker, and how maybe that means it maintains a sort of connection to the other part and would be able to see part of what it sees and FUCK. FUCK. I JUST REALIZED IT ONLY KNEW HOW TO SAY PEEKABOO WHEN THEY FIRST MET. OVER AND OVER. HIDING ITS FACE WITH LITTLE HANDS. ALMOST LIKE

Fifteen belongs in another timeline/parallel universe, or Fourteen??
I said this before when The Giggle first aired, but when the Doctor "split up" PLUS when he concocted the "salt superstition" at the end of the universe, his timeline split into two parallel universes....... one where FAIRYTALE SUPERSTITION is absolutely literal and amalgamated.... The timeline where Mad Jack SUCCEEDS in starting a nuclear war is THE SAME TIMELINE as "future" when Ruby and Fifteen traveled to the "alt future" when there was no long music ("The Devil's Chord).
Either Ruby is supposed to belong to THAT "nuclear/world destruction" timeline or Fourteen (Tennant)'s existence is causing two existing PARALLEL Timelines to merge

In 1973 Sammy Davis, Jr. and Christopher Lee made a pilot for a tv show called ‘Poor Devil’. - it never made it to series. “Sammy was a demon terrible at being a demon, who had to constantly try to get a sinner to wreck themselves so he could get in good with the Devil (played by Christopher Lee).”

> new series release (space babies) coincided with the uk seeing the northern lights for the first time in years
> the devil’s chord coincided with paul mccartney’s long-missing hofner bass guitar being found, by a doctor who fan no less
> boom coincided with an actual meteor crash
> 73 yards is coinciding with a rise in bizarre supposedly-occult animal sacrifice rituals in britain (the folk horror part) and rishi sunak finally calling a general election (the political drama part)
> hypothesis: russell t davies has somehow managed to tune in to the universe’s divine frequency ??
> conclusion: messing with the forces of fate, cause&effect and coincidence, even if it’s for the pop culture franchise you’re showrunning, actually turns it into an egregore, but only if it’s been going for long enough (sixty fucking years to the dot) and watched by enough people (tens of millions). which it has
> ergo, postscriptum: television magick is real and is being unintentionally performed by the creators + audience of the world’s silliest science fiction show
> /jk. unless?

no but I know its very unlikely but somehow that makes me believe it's possible even more.
like the fact that Susan Twist plays a mysterious character and that it coincides with her last name is something we have noticed. And the whole musical number about how "there's always a twist at the end" also feels like it's pointing towards that. and it is catchy, this song has played in my head every time the whole affair has been mentioned.
But what if... thats meant to be a very flashy distraction from ... her first name.
because I did find it annoyingly expositional that the doctor would have a whole monologue about having lived in 1963 London with his granddaughter. And we have done a lot of lore-dropping in the episodes before bc there's a new companion and also a whole new audience with the move to Disney and all that, so I thought it might be just bc of that but all in all... thats a really inconsequential bit of lore.
And now I'm also thinking that going to 1963 to meet the beatles feels a bit like an excuse for the story considering how they did basically nothing for the plot, and if maybe the setting was chosen for a different reason.
because maybe it was important for Russell that we knew about the doctor's granddaughter Susan.
And i know it sounds conspiracy level silly, like they couldn't plan and plot for the actress's name. But also, they just needed to know she exists and check if she's available and nothing actually HINGES on that detail in case it doesn't work out. And all I'm saying is they have cast a guy called Nick Frost as Father Christmas before.
(also coincidences have been a MASSIVE theme so far)
