anyone else getting nervous about the lack of info about the book 10 title?

after scraping down the internet i found little bits of dialogue and unseen snippets of scenes that are there in the long trailer and saw an eng sub for 2 of those 'trailers' and I'm going crazy. all nuts and bolts on the floor, scattered, rolling away into oblivion. the dialogues are so good guys i CANNOT wait to see how it goes down from now on. once yuan is back. after having lived with his feelings for Years and Years, that they no longer make him scared or ashamed or disgusted anymore. or as many suggest when he returns ready to snipe back, 'pettier' (and prettier- THAT'S THE FIRST thing he asked qian when he comes back, atleast from the long trailer-). when Qian is the one in agony, the kind Yuan was in before he left. after all the loneliness both of them went through. as full grown lived in adults (Qian alr was but his world was yet to shift, i.e he still doesn't know how to make sense of anything or ever cared to dwell on anything thinking he doesn't want anything for he has his family, his brother- but now he's going to WANT, perhaps for the first time ever. and i. Cannot. Wait.

Animal of the Day!

Bullet Ant (Paraponera clavata)

Conservation Status- Unlisted

Habitat- Central America; South America

Size (Weight/Length)- 30 mm

Diet- Nectar; Insects; Small amphibians

Cool Facts- True to their name, the sting of a bullet ant is comparable to being shot. These ants are known to form super colonies in the bases of trees. An individual nest can have millions of individuals, each with a specific role. Roving parties of hunters seek out other insects and dispatch them through sheer numbers. The prey is then dragged back to the nest to feed the next generation of soldiers. Bullet ants are invasive in the United States and have become a danger to native insect species, especially butterfly caterpillars. Luckily for people, these ants are relatively unaggressive unless their nest is directly under an attack.

charmed 2024: day one

- coffee in the evening the night before = incapable of sleep. somehow managed to get a couple hours before getting up around 5:30am to head to the airport.

- my ride to the airport was nice, if a bit too chatty for the early hour and my lack of sleep. he was a tow truck driver in chicago for 30 years, doesn't want to see snow again, and his grandkids are spread across the states in terms of which universities they're attending.

- flight went much better than the trip i had a week-ish ago. i greatly prefer southwest. i was somewhat nervous the asian fellow next to me was going to topple onto my shoulder as he slept, but he was ok.

- airports are liminal spaces and time is soup

- con badge woo! hotel checkin woo (and cookies)! unpacking and immediately taking a shower and feeling human again woo! meeting people woo! lots of hugs woo!

- tatertots and spicy water

- i thought about going to the social event, but the amount of noise i heard coming from the room made me incredibly anxious

- i got more hugs and my dnd stuff he'd been keeping for me <3

- flopped a bit and vaguely tried on clothes i brought with me to see if i feel comfy wearing them tomorrow. jury is still deliberating

- a german bean came over and lots of talk and some v smol shenanigans ensued. i still can't believe how tall he is.. maybe i should bring stilts next time :c

tomorrow's thoughts:

- i have homework and a school meeting in the afternoon :c

- only class i really want to see is the boot one

- i should get snacks or something from a store, idk

- poke at the hypno scouts stuff

- spread the Gospel of Worms
