Many feelings about Ashton shattering and breaking into pieces and dying for a second time but having friends by his side this time, not abandoning him, keeping him alive. Saving them, staying with them until the end, whatever that end may be. All of the Bells there, close, but most of all FCG who was with them the longest, who Ashton called out for trying to be a martyr so many times, now saving Ashton from exactly that fate and Fearne who he trusts most, feels understood by, who he has just given that kiss back to. Fearne trusting him as well, keeping him up when he can't do it himself anymore, taking damage time after time to heal him, not letting him go. And the one time they do slip up and die they are saved by Dianna's ring, a gesture of love given to Chet by someone who Ashton felt an instant connection with. It's love that makes people. It's love that saves them.

I'm always happy to see Shadow Milk Cookie fan content of him being a manipulative bitch. It satisfies my soul to see him being such a horrible person cause that is exactly what he is.

@cuppajj is an example of this via their art of him. Highly check them out, their beast ancients AU is honestly giving me life! (very curious what the main story has in store)

@sunseed-fandump Literally created my favorite fanfic from the CRK fandom "Devil's Encore", which is a piece yall should read if you enjoy angst! It's not so much that I think fans don't do it a lot, I just think very few go to these extremes with him. I often see more of redemption art or ship fics with him more than content of him being a villain. Not hating on that, just not my cup of tea that much. There are more that usually do a good job with this representation, the two above are just some off the top of my head examples. Just feels like missed opportunities. Or maybe I should just get off my lazy ass and contribute my own stuff. Maybe make an AU to just have a blast with that.

What I think about shadowgast. Everyone agrees they could make each other better but I think it's fun that they could just as easily be the worst thing that's ever happened to each other. They are just similar enough in singleminded hubris to indulge each other's worst impulses. Time travel is transmutation + dunamancy.

Honestly one of the more damning but also funny aspects of the most obnoxious and harassment-prone im*dna shippers is that their blog will invariably have posts calling Percy/Vex or Fjord/Jester (or, both) miserable toxic trash and hoping they end in bitter divorce and then they'll be like "LAURA EVERY CAMPAIGN LIKE I WILL LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT! y'all are idiots for thinking Imogen and Laudna could ever break up! Laura only does loving, wholesome, and dedicated relationships and would never do that."
