Hello, hello!

So getting right into this, I am a 18+M looking for other people above the age of 18. If asked in dms I will give my exact age. I will lay out everything shortly so that we can get straight to the point and not waste either of our times!

• Looking for MxF (me as M) or MxM(though preferable MxF simply because I like more feminine characters. That or pack it up and give your M character a skirt. It's one or the other😏) I love FxF only for double ups to be honest.

• I'm certainly not doing oc x cc with me as the cc unless it's a double.

•something I'd like is the usage of the canon characters. I love worldbuilding, I love character building and if we use canon characters even if it's in the background, it *enhances* that. Even if you only use 3 canon characters while I use 11, I don't care. Don't get it twisted it's not NECCESARY but could be nice. Ignore this if it's a fandomless roleplay.

• Literacy! I'm extremely adaptive but at minimum I ask you do two paragraphs so I have something to work with. Alongside this have some good grammar. I'm not a grammar nazi for wanting to understand your sentences. If your first language is not english that's fine because it's not mine either! We can help eachother for all I care.

• I am extremely patient but do not dm me if you will be responding only two times a week. I get super invested in a roleplay and it is painful to want more but have to wait a millenia for your response. I am a busy person as well but c'mon. Though if you tell me in advance you'll be busy I'll probably be a lot more lenient.

• Mostly want something with romance. Not opposed to alll the other genres, romance is boring if it's just that. But that's mainly what I want. I want two hot people to fall in love.

• If you are not into talking ooc we won't mesh well. This isn't a business transaction and while we don't need to be full on friends I atleast want some communication between us.

• You get many many points if you gush about the show, ships or anything with me! Pinterest boards who? Spotify playlists?? Edits? Chefs kiss. You don't need to make em because I sure as shit will. Point is, have fun!

• will only roleplay through discord

• Last thing. Real FCs are a heavy preference, all of my fandoms are TV shows and I can't imagine an animated character with fuckin' Jenna ortega. I don't mind helping you find a FC, but I will not roleplay with piccrew. I can maybe be convinced into using an animated fc especially if it's an animated show but otherwise oof.

I've made so many new OCs and I'm eager to share them! Kuromoto was supposed to be a Danganropa OC since he was created in a Roblox Danganropa RP game, but I lacked knowledge of the game series so uh, for now he's a Pokémon trainer in his mid 20s who loves the color pink.

He only has pink Pokémon on his team, shiny or not. He also likes art and music. That sword he carries with him is an accessory (for now)

UPDATE: I have decided to make him a Daybreak OC! If anybody knows the game "Daybreak" in Roblox, he's gonna be in the survivor class! I'm going to give him a proper profile sooner or later.

Daybreak Ballads by @wilteddreamsofbaldursgate this is a delightful piece of Astarion x f!reader (bard) smut. it features Astarion being petty about being told his poetry isn't your thing, and it's funny and sexy and so in character. easily one of my favorites.

Ethics Review by @kittenintheden you all know kitten's longfic, "Not Your Sweetheart," but have you read her sexy oneshots? this one involves Astarion and unnamed Tav going to Astarion's old office and engaging in a little roleplay. it's hot, but also really fun. her other smutty oneshots are also great, but this one is my fave.

Hot Spell by @harlequinromancing this one is HOT. both in a smutty sense and in a literal sense. read it on a sweltering summer day. you'll be glad you did. Astarion is cold, you are not, you do the math.

For Your Eyes Only by @thedreamlessnights more Astarion smut, but this time featuring protective Astarion who has your back when a creep spies while you're trying to bathe. both really sweet and ultimately sexy. i think my exact comment on the bookmark was "this is some good shit." for what that is worth.

All I Want for Solstice by @atsadi-shenanigans okay so maybe not technically a oneshot because it's 2 chapters, but in the words of Olivia Rodrigo, "fuck it, it's fine." Astarion x named Tav - it's a perfect mix of smut, fluff, and absolute hilarity - including one of the funniest batstarion scenes i've ever read. i'm sure most of y'all are familiar with "Feeding Alligators." this is set in that universe. and it was also a huge inspiration for me to start writing oneshots in my longfic's universe as well. cannot sing this one's praises enough.

...and now i see daylight by @krissynotchrissy and now, after all that smut, have some that is pure sweetness. in which Astarion reflects on when he realized he loved Tav. the ending is also absolutely perfectly tied to the game. i adore this one so much.

Okay I wanna talk about this speech from the first episode:

"Hero who casts no shadow, the great deeds you and your fellow agents do shall never see the light of day. You will never earn any medals nor make it into the papers. But even so, never forget that everyone else's day-to-day lives are possible because of your blood, sweat, and tears."

I find it an interesting bit, cause it's a great way to introduce us to the life of a spy (and written beautifully, at least according to the translation), but we also know Twilight does not need that. At first sight it might sound like a motivational speech to encourage him to take up the mission, but by the end of that same episode we find out he doesn't need that - he's got a lot of motivation on his own.

Part of that speech reappears two episodes later, when the old woman thanks him for catching the thief who stole her purse, and his reaction makes it look like he's never been thanked before for using his spy skills to help people. He even thinks "I guess receiving thanks every once in a while wouldn't hurt" so his motivation never included being recognized.

And then... we get to see his face (though with a controlled expression and under a mask) when Daybreak says he'll never make it into the papers.

Both the manga and the anime make sure to show Twilight right then. Up until that point his every reaction to Daybreak was to comment on how sloppy of a spy he is, but when he has a melancholic thought of how he'll never be recognized... Twilight doesn't comment. He doesn't even show any signs of exasperation, he doesn't scoff or roll his eyes. He understands. In the anime they take extra notice for Daybreak's VA to sound a little sad while saying this line, and for the groovy music to come to a halt. I wonder what Twilight's overall opinion of him would've been if that was the last thing he saw of him, instead of him trying to fucking sign his spy name on the test papers like dude honestly wtf

Again, we know very well that Twilight's motivation has never been about receiving gratitude or recognition. Even getting a little too much attention from fellow WISE spies seems to make him uncomfortable - and ok I know the Princess Anya Rescue mission was a little too much, but dude was completely blind to how excited everyone was to watch him pull all those stunts, and he only thought it as embarrassing. I think that's what his "What is this?" reaction means at the end with the fireworks; all the other spies had the time of their lives getting their asses kicked by him, but he only saw it all as an embarrassing situation he had to pull through for the sake of the MissionTM. Or even if he does understand how high every other agent thinks of him, he still was quite uncomfortable with so much attention, even for a roleplay game.

With all that said... there is a part of him that understands the sadness in never getting any recognition for the work he and his fellow spies do. He doesn't need it, he'll try to avoid too much of it if he can, but he still recognizes what the utter lack of it entails.

Then... I don't know, but I can't get out of my mind how the speech from the first episode says he will earn no medals, and then we get a small filler side-mission that has Loid - with just a tiny bit of hesitation - teaching Anya that scars can be regarded as medals.

Yeah I know in the manga he says "badges of honour" but both anime and manga, both in the first episode and here use the word "勲章" (Kunshō) which according to gοοgle means "medal" so that's what I'm going with.

Like idk, that's probably my whumper side begging for some content, but considering how well-put everything is in this story, I can't stop thinking there's a connection here. Don't spoil me about the manga if we do get relevant content heh
