henlo!!!! name is luna, pronouns are she/her. can i ask for a general reading? :)
Hello Luna, welcome to the ask box! For your reading, I am using the Pathfinder Oracle and the Earthbound Oracle, both by A. L. Swartz of skullgarden.net. Your cards are passive Home and Bond.
Tumblr media
Returning home can be cathartic, stressful, or even both at the same time. Whether literally or metaphorically doing so, it sometimes feels like you're going right back to where you started, but you're not. You haven't lost the things you gained along the way, you haven't lost your connections to others outside of home, and you haven't failed. For as much as some things stay the same, other things change.
Going back to the beginning isn't a failure.
I hope this reading was interesting, even if it's not particularly specific. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to send feedback in my ask box, leave feedback in a reblog of this reading, and/or reblog my reading guidelines!

✨️WIP✨️ Shadowheart Oracle / Tarot Card! I like the fact that these two words make a combination "Memory loss" 😁
I've found a Pathfinder Arcanist (sorcerer+wizard) archetype called Tarot Student! Going to use the prototype of my BG3 deck in game when my DM friend asks to join the party 😎

I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate religious practice into my life & trying to get over the fear of being...annoying? If that's the right word? It feels a little like tugging on the gods' sleeves when I make more than one offering a day to them even though I know I'm not, like, being rude by *checks notes* giving them things or dedicating time/activities to them. Today I made a dessert in preparation for tomorrow's Pathfinder game and dedicated that time spent baking to Hestia and Aphrodite, and it was really nice! I feel like I'm starting to find my footing despite my worries. I'm also trying to make sure I take time where I'm not thinking about religion at all so that I don't start to ruminate/spiral. It's happened a few times already to varying degrees and it's! Not fun!
It's possible it's hindsight/confirmation bias, but I do think the vibes of my tarot deck changed when I started reaching out to the Greek deities. It makes sense: I was using my deck to reach out to a completely different deity/deities before I started exploring Hellenic polytheism. And it's definitely not in a bad way, just more energetic and...light? When before it was heavier (in a comforting way). I've gotten consistently coherent pulls, too, which is nice.
I've been trying to remember to pour a libation to Hermes at certain street corners when I'm out & about, but I have to make a game plan for when other people are also in the area, even if it's just psyching myself up so I don't look awkward while I do it. I have a pendant that I keep in front of his altar/shrine jar that I try to remember to take with me when I travel, and it's been cool having something in my pocket that's consistently reminding me of him because I check so often to make sure it's still there. There were some...issues with my commute on Monday (a true comedy of errors on the city's part) but the change in routine was a *lot* easier to handle in the morning. Of course, the unusually cool temperature helped, but I do accredit the smooth transition to Hermes because I wasn't stressed at *all* for the vast majority of my commute when I usually would have been wiped from the mental/sensory strain of having to pivot & kinda just hope I guessed right on what to do next. The commute home was a nightmare but I didn't have a whole-ass work day ahead of me after that so the stress didn't matter as much (and I was able to get through the last bus ride & walk from the stop which I wasn't sure I'd have the mental fortitude for).
I'm almost done with the statue of Hermes I've been working on, and I finished a set of alphabet oracle "stones" (squares made from air dry clay...would that technically be closer to potsherds?) tonight. I'll share a picture of them once I finish their bag- I have some leftover green cotton yarn from a recent project that I think will go well with them. We'll see how well they hold up, though I'm not planning on doing the "shake them until one falls out" method so hopefully they'll last a while. I worked on them in the living room this evening, instead of in my room. I'm getting more comfortable showing little elements of what I've been exploring to my housemates; it was nice to be able to sit & paint & listen to the iliad while my friend did his own thing next to me on the couch.
I'm still trying to figure out how to gauge each housemates' potential reactions. It'll probably be fine: friend 1 actively has an altar-esque space and uses tarot cards and a pendulum and friend 2 is friend 1's wife. I'm a bit worried about friend 3 being weird about it, at least at first, but considering he was experimenting with witchcraft-esque things a few years ago (I distinctly remember charms & him discussing which of the wheel of the year days he wanted to observe) I think I'm overthinking things. He's an atheist & his view of witchcraft was, at the very least, *similar* to the psych model, which I think is where the hesitation has been coming from on my end. I have therapy this weekend so I think I'll start bringing things up then. The office my therapist is in openly advertises all sorts of alt/witchcraft things so I think I'll be safe there lol

Marishana - The Half-Orc Wild Oracle
Marishana is back and looking better than ever! It’s been years since the last time I’ve gotten to play as her, so I’m really excited to be getting to use her again in an upcoming campaign. Albeit with some changes. Marishana was originally a Magus class in our Pathfinder campaign, but since there’s no Magus class equivalent in D&D I’ll be using a homebrewed class created by Weird Works LLC called The Wild Oracle.
The Wild Oracle is unique magic/melee class that utilizes a specialized tarot deck to add a randomizing element the spells you cast. It does this by giving you an 8 card starting deck and having you draw from that deck whenever you want to cast a spell. Each card has a different spell like effect, so while some cards can be powerful, you won’t always be able to rely on them to show up when you need them. As you level up you add more powerful cards to your deck and choose from 1 of 3 different Oracle paths that either give you more control of you draws or let you embrace the decks chaotic nature.
To learn more about The Wild Oracle class, check out the free PDF content available for The Empress Tarot Deck in the Weird Works shop. The deck itself is beautiful (as you can see with the two cards shown above). The fact that they’ve also created a fun D&D class that lets you put it to use is just icing on the cake. I can’t wait to try it out!

Some of my favourite cards from the Tree Keeper's Oracle, although, to be honest, every single card is beautiful. Sorry if they're flipped sideways idk what happened:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I really like this one because it's close up and Law's characters are often far away.
Tumblr media
Love this depiction of solitude.
Tumblr media
I absolutely love this image. There are a few masculine figures in this deck and not only is grace traditionally thought of as a "feminine" thing, but I love his meditative posture.
Tumblr media
The very first thing I noticed was the skull. I feel like Law's very good at drawing the eye or maybe I just tend to look at the middle portion first.
Tumblr media
This last card reminded me of my Pathfinder character, Florin. I love how part of the painting looks gloomy and then here come the rainbow umbrellas (he would absolutely own a rainbow umbrella).

Meet the Witch
(Saw someone else make a post like this and I thought it looked fun.)
September 2023 Name: Caelan Age: 23 Birthday: October 31st (yes, for real) Pronouns: My pronouns change from day to day. Check my pinned post. Astrological Signs: Scorpio Sun, Leo Moon, Virgo Rising, Sagittarius is the most common sign in my chart. Deities: Apollo, Loki, Lucifer, and Nyarlathotep
Witchy Facts About Me:
The element I feel the strongest connection to is fire.
I usually don't give exact, specific ingredients, words, etc when sharing spells. I feel like it's just going to discourage people who don't have access to certain items, can't perform specific acts, or can't memorize words very well.
I'm very interested in divination, especially astrology, tarot, oracle decks, and scrying.
I actually rarely work with my deities in witchcraft. That's more of a religious thing, and I don't always mix my religion and my craft. I'm more interested in working with my pre-Christian Irish ancestors. Nyarlathotep does give me very useful advice for my craft, though.
I'm not going to hesitate to hex a corrupt politician, an abuser, or anyone who unapologetically makes the world a worse place. No, you're not going to convince me that it's going to come back to me. It never has before, and I don't believe it will in the future.
As a heads-up, if you are a "love and light, never do harm ever" type of witch, this is probably not the blog for you. I don't think that you're any less valid or respectable for being that kind of witch; I just want you to know upfront that I am not that kind of witch and that I will most likely never be that kind of witch.
I try to take potential disabilities into consideration when writing spells, rituals, and other magical activities. It often feels like, when I read witchcraft books, the author will say that you have to do something a specific way. Like, "you have to do a bath ritual for this to work," or "you have to meditate first." And that completely fails to consider that some people aren't objecting to these things because they don't want to do them; they're protesting because they literally cannot do the tasks that the author says that they must do.
My Favorite WC Books
The Crooked Path by Kelden
Besom, Stang, and Sword by Christopher Orapello and Tara-Love Maguire
Of Blood and Bones by Kate Freuler
Weave The Liminal by Laura Tempest Zakroff

Player Core 2 for Pathfinder 2e just dropped and the Lore Oracle gets feeblemind (now 'never mind') as a focus spell.
Which is a lot of words for people who don't play so: you can just pick a guy and remove his sapience. You have a hyperbimbofication ray that does not even cost any spell slots. Just walking around casually yeeting people's minds away. Focus is now a MUCH less restricted resource than previously, you can absolutely just be slamming this thing out. For the Lore Oracle this is not a high-level spell you want to save for enemy mages it's spammable and constantly on-deck.

Hi Jasper,
My initials are LO (He/They). I saw you were looking for reading requests and I have a query for you! Currently, I am thinking about pursuing a very competitive career path, but it is one that I am very passionate about. So, I was wondering, is there any advice for pursuing that path? Thanks a bunch and hope you have a great day!
Welcome back to the ask box, LO! Thank you for saving me from my boredom. For your reading, I am using the Pathfinder Oracle by A. L. Swartz of skullgarden.net. Your card is positive Bat.
Tumblr media
What a perfect little fella. Anyhow. Bat hears all and never misses a wingbeat. Unusual methods and undeniable results will be key to victory, so long as they're sufficient. Hone in on your goals and never let them out of range.
However, be warned: "competitive career" is often a smokescreen for "downright abusive treatement of employees". Do not forget your worth and do not accidentally fly into a tree while seeking your goal.
In short, go get 'em, tiger! You know what you can do, so flaunt it! Don't undersell yourself and your capabilities just because it might intimidate someone else. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to send feedback in my ask box, leave feedback in a reblog of this reading, and/or reblog my reading guidelines!

Couldn't sleep, so I stayed up to 5am making my D&D (pathfinder) character and her travelling caravan in The Sims.... it's fully functional in game... except the travelling part (the wheels do spin continuously though 😅).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The character is Matilda (Tildy) TeaLeaf - a Halfling Oracle, shes a tiny little old lady whose Site Bound Cursed to her travelling caravan... so if shes away from home too long she gets a tummy ache... and I'm playing her as a pacifist who refuses to fight but is chill to heal, but does so by kissing the parties booboos (inspired by recovery girl from my hero academia) 💋. Her mystery is Nature (ate a mushroom that grew from the grave of her mother who was a fortune teller) so she gets a bonded mount - the Mule that pulls her Caravan. The caravan is Halfling sized so the whole thing would only be like 7ft tall including the roof top deck (which has a toilet and bathtub, as well as a cauldron and her magic herb garden). The inside barely clears 5ft so humans would have to crouch if they want to come in for tea.
I'm.... I'm a huge nerd. 🤣

Reading Guidelines
One question per ask. It helps if you send your favorite emoji(s) or something about yourself so I can have a sense of your energy. If you send multiple questions in one ask, I will only answer the first question.
If you vibe more with a certain deck you can choose from a selection of my decks and/or Oracle Deck:
Tarot of the Divine
Wild Unknown Tarot
Linestrider Tarot
Rider Waite Tarot
Please be concise with your wording. Tarot is VERY literal, so be sure you are asking the “right” question! Any background info/details are appreciated and will ensure your reading is more accurate and less generalized. I’m happy to discuss your question with you and fine tune it in order to best serve your needs.
If you want me to answer you privately, please let me know. Please send all free reading requests to my askbox. Paid reading requests or requests for exchange readings can DM me. You can also DM me if you just wanna chat!
Most questions are fair game, but the questions I enjoy the most are personal growth, spiritual, or pathfinding.
If you are seeking a paid reading, please send me your question before you send payment. You will receive answer within 24 hours of payment. I can do intuitive spreads, Celtic Cross, or you can pick a spread you think best fits your question.
If my free readings are closed and you send an ask, I will delete your question.
Free Reading Game: Closed
Paid Readings: Open
Feedback is always appreciated but not necessary!
I do not:
Contact deities
Answer legal questions
Answer pregnancy or medical questions
If I feel uncomfortable answering a question, I’ll let you know and you can ask another question. I reserve the right to refuse to answer any question for any reason.

Divination Review
A while ago, @liminalblessings did a reading for me on a topic about my family. She used the Skullgarden Wooden Tarot and the Skullgarden Pathfinder Oracle, both of which are incredibly beautiful and unique decks. Her interpretation of the cards is blunt, not to the point of hurtfulness, but rather in a no-nonsense approach. The message was something I knew deep down but didn’t want to hear. At the time of the reading, I have not really had that many conversations with Anna before (as it was before we began talking more through discord), yet she still treated me with kindness and professionalism, just as as she would with any other client. Anna’s a great reader, and I’d totally recommend her services. :)
