More crown anaylsis:

My working theory is that the second crown is actually the crown for autumn like Sarena suggested. But was never supposed to be the "normal one" she wears

We see from many concept arts and even a deleted scene that the fall scepter was originally going to be a crown

Not only that, this is a piece the original concept art of the mirror of encanta. One of the plot points of the movie was that pieces of the mirror would be used to rebuild the scepter, same would go for the crown right? LT and TB were also being worked on the same time, explaining on how the crown could end up in Tinker Bell, which I'm thinking it did during the Vidia confrontation scene

Now the PHG crown looks very detailed right?

Well, the crown is so detailed and ornate- I can't believe I missed it because I was so used to the so called "default". Well there is plenty of reason that this crown can look like this. The original working title for the movie was "Race through The Seasons" and it was originally a full length film, the 5th and final one before it was condensed for TV. I believe every movie prior, which should have included SoTW, would have had a different design. However, the directors lost interest, and there was general confusion regarding the crowns. Only PHG got a crown design for the special.

I believe it was supposed to be a more "seasonal" design, it could also be a a design reject from Lost Treasure.

Another interesting thing is this magazine or some source I read mentioned Clarion's first crown is the "Arrival Day" crown and the flower crown is the "Spring Celebration" crown. However, I am inclined to believe that her first crown was always supposed to be her normal crown design was always supposed to be the Arrival Crown. This crown features a white floral motif, her favorite flower is white cala lily and symbol of her regal status. I believe this crown, was always meant by other artists to be a regular everyday crown, though somehow the autumn crown/swirly design ended up being the regular day crown.

A weird thing about Clarion's ROB/pre final design was that it had no crown but a necklace instead, making her seem like she's more humble. It would make sense for the notes to say, make it more regal, using the books lily thing as inspiration. Many of her merch at the time seems to have the pointy crown or the Ring of Belief style, meaning the Arrival crown could have always been the normal one. Maybe that's too much thought into a small difference but still. Last one is the edited website image

On Queen Clarion’s crowns. After Mary and anon had mentioned it, I had to look for all the crowns she’s worn in the movies and do some quick analysis!

The first scene, Tinker Bell’s arrival, takes place in Winter, and Queen Clarion is wearing a glowing white crown. Later, when she attends a review of Spring preparations, she changes into a flower crown which she keeps for the rest of the film (and presumably the season.) In the next movie, the fairies are preparing for Autumn, and Clarion again has a new tiara. Finally, the Pixie Hollow Games special introduces one more crown, and this just so happens to take place in Summer.

Was this coincidental, that we only see Clarion wear certain crowns in certain seasons? Or was it an intentional design choice? I don’t know, but I don’t care. My headcanon is that she has a tiara for each season.

This would solidify the timeline of when the rest of the movies occur, which is something obvious for the first few films…TB = winter-spring, LT = autumn, GFR/PHG = summer…But not so much for the others. The next three films take place only in Never Land and we aren’t told what season the fairies are bringing to the mainland.

But the answer is hidden in Clarion’s crown! She wears her Autumn crown for the rest of the movies.

We can even prove this at least as far as SotW, judging simply by what’s going on in that movie. The winter fairies are all in Pixie Hollow, practicing their frost and packing snowflakes into baskets to take to the mainland. They’re in Autumn, preparing for their upcoming season.

Disney Fairies comics in 2023? It's more likely than you think.

Well, sort of. They're not technically "Disney Fairies" comics, but they did release 2 "Never Girls" comics that do feature some of the classic fairies.

I'm a fan of the classic Disney Fairies comics and the movies series, but I've never read any of the Never Girls books. (I'm not really into chapter books.) But as soon as they started releasing comics, I was there!

That being said, I don't think I would recommend these books to your average Disney Fairies fan, because:

They are very short. Especially for the price they're asking for them.

They do mainly feature the "Never Girls" with the fairies acting more as side characters.

They are written at a more kindergarten grade level. I know that the Disney Fairies series has always been targeted towards kids, but these comics do feel, at least to me, a step "younger" then the "classic" run of the comics and movies.

That's not to say that there isn't anything interesting in these comics however. There are some interesting design choices they made for the classic fairies. Seeing how this is the newest interpretation of the fairies; one could even say it's a "soft reboot" of sorts and I though I'd highlight some of the changes for you here.

Tinkerbell and Rosetta

First off, Tinkerbell now has green eyes.

She has her eyes closed in the above picture, but you can see them better in the Amazon preview for the first comic listed above (or here) on page 11. It's not a coloring error either, they are consistently green in both comics.

Other than that, Tink's dress seems to be longer but that's about it.

As for Rosetta, her hair is now brown instead of red. Her dress seems to have been simplified with it now being one shade of pink with a darker pink trim instead of her shirt and skirt being two different shades of pink.

Unlike Tink though, Rosetta's eyes only might have been changed to brown... but maybe not. In some pictures, her eyes are still a bright green, in others it's a dark green (like the picture above, I know they look brown but they're actually a really dark green) and in others, they are completely brown.

Somebody had to have messed up the color, but I don't know which colors are suppose to be the mistakes. Were they suppose to be changed to brown but somebody accidentally referenced her "old" design by mistake? Or were they still suppose to be green and the brown was a mistake?

Iridessa

Iridessa seems to have gotten a new outfit. Good bye crop top.

It does kind of look like her "summer" or "great fairy rescue" outfit just without the brown around her waist though, so they might just be using that outfit as her new "default/everyday" outfit.

Vidia

In the comic these are just drawings that Gabby made, but given how well the other fairies match the designs that she drew, (Iridessa even has her brown "belt" back) I'm still going to go ahead and use it as a reference for how Vidia would look.

It seems that Vidia lost her pants. RIP Vidia's pants. :(

Silvermist

Just like with Vidia, Silvermist has only "appeared" as a drawing so far, but I'm still counting it.

Her dress is different than her normal one, but similarly to Iridessa, it does still resemble one of her outfits, namely her "fall" or "lost treasure" outfit a lot with the only notable change being that she now only has one sleeve instead of two. (Although that could be an error.)

That's all for now! Honestly I'm glad that our fairies are still alive, even if it's on life support as side characters. Only 2 comics in this series have been released so far and don't know if there will be any more. If it is only 2, then it will be the shortest run of any Disney Fairies comics ever.

jordan was born to lisa and asher jones, more or less loving parents who weren’t really ready for a child. they never had enough money, and spent too much of what they did have on alcohol, but they never neglected her. the family was a little messy, but mostly happy.

everything changed when jordan was eight. thanks to careless driving, she lost both parents at once and was orphaned. from there, she was placed in the foster system and was miserable. whether because it was truly horrible, or her anger and grief made it that way, she hated everything about it.

well, not everything. when she was ten, she met russell perez, who quickly became her closest (and only) friend. he made her smile - he made her happy - and he knew what it was like to be left behind. it was nice having a best friend who could understand her. except he left too, and then she was alone again. like she’d always been. like she’d always be.

alex and vidia weren’t a super typical family - alex’s optimism seemed like it would be at odds with vidia’s sharp edges - but somehow jordan fit right in. she would say it was like fate or destiny, if she believed in that sort of thing.

life was good again, for a few years. she found friends, and a passion for song and dance. she worked hard and was looking to the future, when she ran into russell again. only now, he was remus rogers, and things were...different. jordan got upset about him leaving and yelled at him, and he yelled back, and every conversation they had only got worse from there. she was convinced he hated her. combine that with people starting to head off in different directions, potentially leaving her all over again, and her insecurities flared up bad.

things were rough for a time there, but she made it through. she and remus reconciled, she pulled herself together and stopped snapping at the people she cared about. now she’s living in new york and attending juliard to continue her singing. she’s done a few performances here or there, and is doing well overall, but something seems off. she isn’t entirely sure where she wants to go from here yet. she’ll figure it out though.

tiffany was very, very particular about her skin care routine. while she had pretty clear and blemish-free skin by default, she always felt a bit more at ease about her appearance when she had an assortment of products to guarantee her complexion remained the way it should- or products to blame her poor complexion on when they failed. hearing a voice, tiff didn't even turn her head, continuing to sift through the different serums and paying no mind to vidia- whose presence alone had her skin crawling. "hmm, not sure... but i do know that i shouldn't be relying on you for cosmetic advice," tiffany commented dryly, finally selecting a serum and turning to face the brunette, a grin now splaying across her lips. "you know, you'd look so much prettier if your face happened to make aggressive contact with concrete. have you ever thought about trying that? i'd be delighted to assist."

“Okay - well - right. I just interrupted myself several times so sorry about that but let me give you the run down. I speak pretty easily, but speed varies depending on who I’m talking to or how I’m feeling and all that shit. The more nervous or worried I am, the more I ramble and I speed up a bit, but when I’m angry I’ve got a very even and calm tone somehow and when I’m talking to someone new I try and avoid talking quickly.”

“A mix of both, I think. It depends on the subject, but talking is one of my strong suits so it’s not like I can’t convey an opinion.”

“Well, I’m not stupid. I ace most tests. My problem is more just figuring out where to ‘apply myself’. I know a lot about things I actually like and certain social issues like the feminist movement and sexuality stuff. And the only reason I passed maths as a sophomore was because I managed to get the teacher to like me after he’d decided that he hated the class with a passion. He wasn’t even subtle about that, actually. He literally announced it in our second week of classes. Yeah, he didn't fuck around. We had that in common. Anyway, befriending people is the closest I’ve got to street smarts.”

She’s pretty casual, really. Her coworkers probably think I have cancer or something, which is also fun. Wait - they might actually. Oh man, this explains why they were so weird and excessively understanding when they found out that we were fostering kids. They totally thought it was so Mum could find a replacement kid in case I died. Oh man, this explains so much. That’s why they looked so concerned when we adopted Jordan - they totally thought I was going to die. I need to text Mum and see if she can confirm it. Ooh, we could fake my death - actually a coma would be better, that way we can still mess with them and no one will have a heart attack when they see me.”

We’ve got a pretty normal sibling relationship - we tease each other, we take care of each other, she threatens to punch people in the face, it’s a riot. I’d be glad to be replaced by her if I died of cancer.”

And all the kids that have stayed with us - except for one or two that were legitimately assholes - are just automatically part of the family.”

Good thing the people I’m attracted to aren’t billionaire hopeless romantics, because it would be pretty uncomfortable for everyone involved. But if you want weird bedroom habits, I’ve been told I talk in my sleep.”

Also the wifi is really good, which is the most important thing.”
