I know it’s fun to extrapolate from Kallus’s cold, sterile room at the end of “The Honorable Ones” and imagine the Rebellion is his first experience with love and comfort, but having read the Kallus comics, I don’t think Kallus spent seventeen years lonely and friendless. The man had friends! “Kallus’s Hunt” is about his best friend from the academy; “No Sympathy” is about his favorite protege/student. 

Of course, both comics are about him hunting down these characters after they defect. But Kallus’s problem is not that he never made friends while working for the Empire. Kallus’s problem, based on this sample set of two, is that the Venn diagram between people he respects and people who see through the Empire’s lies is a circle.

There might be a lesson here, Kallus. You’ll figure it out eventually.

"One of the less-amusing ironies of the violent institutional response to the nonviolent protest movement on campuses across the country is that the goals of the people protesting are much easier to understand than those of the variously curdled elites dispatching uniformed violence workers against them. The irony is in the fact that the students, with their specific demands and comparatively disciplined approach, have been cast as somewhere between essentially unserious and actively terroristic. In contrast, the institutions pivoting and pandering and giddily giving themselves over to the incoherent and spiraling political panic surrounding the protests represent principled leadership and forebearance; the gray elites insisting that these protests are actually about their dull abstractions of choice are the voice of seriousness; the police forces, rioting and ravening as ever, are somehow in fact order.

A lot of this disjunction can be explained by the undeniable disparities in power between those two sides, the first organizing toward a legible goal and the second existing essentially to oversee the unending work of saying no. Only one side can effectively call the cops on the other; here, as elsewhere, the impunity that comes with that exclusive access to violent recourse has made those with it not only cynical and lazy and cruel, but also paradoxically insecure and perpetually terrified at the prospect of any erosion in authority. It is, on its face, difficult to make the argument that it is fundamentally unserious to object to dropping a 2,000-pound bomb on a hospital, and much more morally and politically serious to object to that objection on some point of administrative order, or simply because it is too loud." ..... Come on now. This is stupid.

If you want Tumblr to feel the sting of your disagreements, withhold money from them. That has worked in the past.

I am a Reddit migrator and I don't think you guys understand how important the difference between Tumblr and Reddit is.

Reddit doesnt have staff. They have volunteer moderators. These people donate free time to making the site function well. Without them Reddit wouldnt work at all.

Tumblr has staff, to everyone's chagrin. Unfortunately implementing the very stupidest ideas and pissing off their entire user base is what they get payed to do.

This means Tumblr needs money. So weaponize that, not disabled people's one time of year they get treated like kind of human. The disabled will always need us more than Tumblr ever will.

If you don't care about disabled people, sorry not sorry, I have better people to care about than you.

Just use your brain. We got Pride Month; it's the disabled/chronically ill community's turn now. Do not take this from them.
