Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun {Part:-2} सात एकड़ के क्षेत्रफल पर बने इसके भव्य भवन का डिजायन सी.जी. ब्लूमफील्ड ने तैयार किया. सात वर्ष में नब्बे लाख की लागत से बने इस भवन का निर्माण सरदार रंजीत सिंह के तत्वावधान में किया गया था. वायसराय लार्ड इर्विन ने 7 नवम्बर 1929 को इस भवन का उद्घाटन किया. ग्रीक रोमन भवन निर्माण शैली में बनी यह बिल्डिंग आज विश्व की ऐतिहासिक इमारतों में शामिल है. फिल्म मेकर्स व प्रोड्यूसर्स एफआरआई के ख़ूबसूरत परिसर को शूटिंग के लिए बेहद मुफीद मानते हैं. एफआरआई की सुंदरता फ़िल्मी पर्दे पर एक अलग ही आकर्षण पैदा करती है. अब तक यहां कई क्षेत्रीय व बॉलीवुड फिल्मों की शूटिंग हो चुकी है. इनमें मुख्य है— दुल्हन एक रात की, कृष्णा कॉटेज, रहना है तेरे दिल में, कमरा नंबर 404, पान सिंह तोमर, स्टूडेंट ऑफ द ईयर, स्टूडेंट ऑफ द ईयर-2, दिल्ली खबर, डियर डैडी, महर्षि, यारा जीनियस. कोरोना काल के बाद भी एफआरआई प्रशासन को फिल्मों की शूटिंग दर्जनों आवेदन मिले जिन्हें अनुमति नहीं दी गयी.   आज़ादी के बाद 1986 में देश के वानिकी अनुसंधान, शिक्षा और विस्तार आवश्यकताओं की देखभाल के लिए एकछत्र संगठन के रूप में भारतीय वानिकी अनुसंधान और शिक्षा परिषद का गठन किया गया. अंततः भारतीय वानिकी अनुसंधान और शिक्षा परिषद को तत्कालीन पर्यावरण और वन मंत्रालय के तहत एक स्वायत्त परिषद घोषित कर सोसायटी पंजीकरण अधिनियम, 1860 के तहत एक सोसायटी के रूप में पंजीकृत किया गया. वर्तमान में, देहरादून में अपने मुख्यालय के साथ भारतीय वानिकी अनुसंधान और शिक्षा परिषद, राष्ट्रीय वानिकी अनुसंधान प्रणाली में देश का सर्वोच्च निकाय है जो आवश्यकता आधारित वानिकी अनुसंधान विस्तार का दायित्व लेता है और उसे बढ़ावा देता है. वन अनुसंधान संस्थान को यूजीसी, मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार की सिफारिशों पर दिसंबर 1991 में डीम्ड विश्वविद्यालय का दर्जा दिया गया. . जुड़िये अपने उत्तराखंड से अपने पहाड़ से जय देवभूमि जय उत्तराखंड 💫Vivid⚡️✨Uttarakhand✨ . Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun [Part:-1} भारत में जब अंग्रेजों ने अपने पैर पसारना शुरू किया तो उन्हें उत्तर भारत के विशाल जंगलों का महत्त्व जल्द ही समझ आ गया. विश्व इतिहास में यह एक ऐसा समय था जब नौसेना ही किसी भी देश की निर्णायक शक्ति हुआ करती थी. नौसेना के लिये लकड़ियां किसी खजाने से कम न थीं. रेल की ख़ोज के साथ अंग्रेजों के लिये उत्तर भारत के जंगल और भी ज्यादा कीमती साबित हुये. जल्द ही अंग्रेजों को भारत में जंगलों के प्रबंधन की जरूरत महसूस होने लगी, ताकि वन सम्पदा का प्रबंधन व दोहन योजनाबद्ध तरीके से किया जा सके. भारत में जंगलों के वैज्ञानिक प्रबंधन का पहला ठोस कदम लार्ड डलहौजी के समय उठाया गया. 3 अगस्त 1855 के मेमोरे��डम के अनुसार पहली बार ब्रिटिश भारत में तय किया गया कि जंगलों का दोहन ऐसे किसी भी तरीके से नहीं किया जायेगा जिससे कि उन्हें नुकसान पहुंचता हो. 1864 में जगलों के मामले में एडवाइसर के तौर पर इंस्पेक्टर जनरल ऑफ़ फारेस्ट नाम का पद सृजित किया गया. इंस्पेक्टर जनरल ऑफ़ फारेस्ट का काम था भारत के जंगलों के संबंध में अपनी सलाह ब्रिटिश सरकार को देना. डॉ. डाइट्रीच ब्रैंडिस इस पद पर नियुक्त होने वाले पहले व्यक्ति थे. अपने काम में सहायता के लिये डाइट्रीच ब्रैंडिस को कुछ प्रशिक्षित लोगों की जरूरत थी. डाइट्रीच ब्रैंडिस की सलाह पर ही भारत में 1878 के बरस रेंजरों की ट्रेनिंग के लिए देहरादून में एक स्कूल खोला गया. 1884 में जब केन्द्रीय ब्रिटिश सरकार ने इसे अपने अधीन लिया तो इसका नाम ‘इम्पीरियल फारेस्ट स्कूल’ रखा. तब का इम्पीरियल फारेस्ट स्कूल ही आज का फारेस्ट रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट और कालेज है. सन 1900 तक इम्पीरियल फारेस्ट स्कूल ने एक उत्कृष्ट संस्थान के रूप में अपनी पहचान बना ली. 1906 में स्कूल में एक शोध विभाग और जोड़ा गया और अब यह इम्पीरियल फारेस्ट रिसर्च कालेज कहलाने लगा. इस तरह 5 जून 1906 को देश में वानिकी अनुसंधान को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए भारत सरकार द्वारा ‘इंपीरियल फॉरेस्ट रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट, देहरादून’ की स्थापना की गयी. जिसका सबसे प्रमुख व्यक्ति प्रेसिडेंट कहलाया. उस समय इंस्पेक्टर जनरल ऑफ़ फारेस्ट को ��ी प्रेसिडेंट का काम दिया गया हाल���ंकि 1908 में दोनों पद अलग-अलग कर दिये गये. . जुड़िये अपने उत्तराखंड से अपने पहाड़ से जय देवभूमि जय उत्तराखंड Follow:- @vivid_uttarakhand Hashtag _ #vividuttarakhand . #uttarakhanddiaries #uttarakhand #dehradun #dehradundiaries #fridehradun #forestresearchinstitute #dehradunblogger #dehradunlove #dehradundiaries❤️ (at Uttarakhand) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChU89J1hA6B/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
