Eltingville Club, but... Gen Z
Tumblr media
A dumb idea I laugh at, so I draw it out. It's not big on being a "fan" like OG E.C., just annoying internet extremely online users I've encountered as a Gen Z who has been on the internet for more than a decade.
Tumblr media
BILL DICKEY
Username : @discardedmrtyr // Bill
Favorite shit : (anime harem), politics, reading, doing reviews, internet drama, leaked content (porn, mostly), shooter games, pepe reaction images.
Occupation : Substitute teacher while in college
Blackpilled anime enthusiast and notorious troll, Bill spends his days spreading hate online while using pepe reaction images because he’s upset how soyjacks are tainted with normies. He’s a vocal critic of all things progressive. He frequently targets minorities, celebrities, and content creators. Bill finds joy in provoking outrage. He’s loves shooter games. He's a Belle Delphine supporter on Onlyfans even when she hasn't uploaded anything. At work as a substitute teacher, Bill abuses his position to indoctrinate impressionable high school students. Off work and college, he gets very active on forums like Lolcow and Kiwifarm. He actively feeds drama with his leaked/stalking finds. In his spare spare time, Bill enjoys reading fanfics and making movies and books reviews that he keeps to himself.
JOSH LEVY
Username : @IHrtSeal // @SealLover123 // Seally // J-Chan
Favorite shit : seals, art, fan content, lost media, roleplay, Harry Potter, Steven Universe, Homestuck.
Occupation : NEET
Autistic Deviantart kid, Josh is similar to Chris Chan, where he has a tendency to fall into rage baits. Josh spends a significant amount of time online since his early childhood. He’s active on Deviantart, Twitter, Tumblr, Discord, etc. Josh customizes his profiles that fit into his aesthetic. His texts are roleplay-like, dramatic, with excessive emojis+emoticons like ♥️♥️♥️(>_<!!!). Josh has a strong interest in fan-content, mainly fanart, often commissions fetish arts from various artists, he commissioned Shadman once. Josh is also prone to harassing others over OOC and selfships. He treats the internet like a safe place diary where he publicize his suicidal ideations and meltdowns. He shows unwarranted sexual behaviors towards strangers online. He is a fan-writer. He writes a lot for character wiki pages and has proship tags in his AO3 works.
PETE DINUNZIO
Username : @VmP175 // @vAMPiro // Ambrose // Leech
Favorite shit : analogue horror, gamemaker games, obscure horror games, illegal/banned medias, true crime reality
Occupation : Cashier and weed dealer
Degenerate loser, Pete accesses the dark web and those Telegram groups daily. He mainly seeks porn of anorexic girls or girls with self-harm scars (prefers it fresh). Self-proclaimed sex icon, Pete would larp as big bad hot alpha men, thirst post on TikTok, showing his muscular body while wearing classic hot men horror masks. He only replies to mentally ill girls.
Dirt poor, with a shitty laptop that can only play roblox and low-quality gamemaker games (always pirates it). Pete is a skilled coder, and he attempts to create games independently. Very huge relation, very socially active. Doxx people online. He uses a lot of AAVE (the white kid with the baggy clothes who's talking like he’s black). Pete has parasocial relationships with content creators. He will defend his favorite creators even after they’re outed as a horrible person. Groomed by a creator he looks up to when he was a kid but feigning ignorance. He does a lot of edgy jokes.
JERRY STOKES
Username : @lv8ryu // リュウ // ryuuuu!
Website : Voidspeech.net // anon
Favorite shit : art, music, memes, brainrot content, cute girls, cute things
Occupation : University student
Leads a double life, Jerry going through University as a rich nepo baby while maintaining his sona online. Jerry fakes an Asian identity. He pretends to be Japanese, using Google Translate. Jerry has an art account with a decent following, where he focuses on his passion, keeping things vanilla and drama-free. He hates seeing reposts of free palestine, blm, etc. Jerry shares his art on Twitter and Newground, usually just girls or softcore porn. Jerry runs a website called Voidspeech, where he posts NSFW political edgy weekly webcomic (and remains anonymous). Pete finds out Jerry is behind the website and manages to get in contact with him. Jerry would send memes and brainrot content in the group chat. He rarely ever talks on group voice calls. Instead, he uses his customized soundboards to show reactions or just quote one of his brainrot content. Jerry would make shitty music he laughs at and forces his friends (especially Pete) to listen via Discord voice call. would say “I get lesbians!”
Bonus (concept design)
Tumblr media
I didn't really like Pete's design, so I redesigned his outfit.

I swear, I keep stealing this OC from a silly content farm channel wtf
I’m back with DaisyDay again, this time if she was in @onyxonline’s Coffee Spies AU. Her backstory would be that she’s a rich girl (very 90’s like) and she comes from a rich, wealthy family, and she works in the same organization as DogDay, CatNap, CraftyCorn, Bubba Bubbaphant, KickinChicken, and Hoppy Hopscotch do.
But she’s still the rookie, so that means she’s very reckless in doing her job, but she just wants to prove that she can handle what the job could throw at her. Her agent name is Agent Flower, her real name is Daisy Delphine, and she’s American-Korean from her mother’s side.

Ending of a Grand Overture
Reposting my response on my own for the sake of anyone in the tags who wants more people to talk about this event.
Kinda funny but kinda sad but kinda funny that I saw Literally No One talk about the Siege event. -- cerastes
Sad is right, because that shit was depressing. A non-exhaustive list:
Londinium — the city, the infrastructure, the people who maintain both and depend on them to survive — is fucked; even the rich and nobility are Infected and desperately trying to hide it
to the common people, the Sarkaz who were born and raised in Londinium are now indistinguishable from the Sarkaz from Kazdel; they didn't leave with the foreigners as they retreated, but now they're being forced to leave their home anyway
a Columbian who honestly wants to help is annoying in a way that no one can properly explain to him because they don't want to point out that they can't trust his help since the CIA is funding the company he represents, and they don't want to explain all of their familiar Victorian bullshit that is getting in Londinium's way
the dukes are actively hindering the city’s ability to recover, and they keep hanging around specifically to make sure the people don't crown the woman who saved them as king
the people want to reward the woman who saved them by crowning her king and making her a symbol of hope, and they cannot understand why their hero refuses to give them what they want
a common hero of the people is sentenced to death for an impulsive act of ‘stealing’ the crown for the sake of the hope of the people — even when it turns out her death was faked, she's liable to die within a week anyway because her Oripathy is so bad
The Windermere medic that was such a stand-up guy in the main-story has become Infected, and he's addicted to opioids because he passed the real Oripathy suppressants to other people while he kept working too hard
Siege hates her job but she can't leave it; she can steal away a few days to visit the Glasgow Gang gym, but Morgan spells it out in her writing — they can never really have their friend "Vina" back, even if she's only the Speaker instead of the king
The Glasgow Gang has become basically helpless to assist Siege in any capacity now that the war is over, because Indra and Morgan are just a couple of common-born street thugs, and that one younger guy left
Baird is still fucking dead because she tied to help this one terminally ill guy who had lost his mind and shanked her, and she bled out alone without her friends around, and Siege still hasn't really accepted that she's dead, and Morgan is vexed because she's denied the context for the last words Baird wrote before she died
Dadga lost her noble family and formalized the end of the Tower Knights, and Delphine has to leave them to return home, and she might not be able to return like she promises
Allerdale has become Asshole Batman whom Siege must treat as an enemy even though Allerdale is trying to help people, because the most effective way that Allerdale can help people is by employing criminals and ne'erdowells towards productive work like smuggling native-born Londinium Sarkaz out of the city, as well as buying and selling painkillers on the black-market because there's not enough real medicine in the legitimate market and the dukes are blocking legitimate channels
The enemies in the combat stages are mostly just common people struggling to survive; frightened scavengers armed with planks of wood or whatever sword they found laying on the ground, young men who became thieves because too many factories shut down for them to find honest work, old men trying to protect their neighborhoods...
The final boss is a fucking joke and is based entirely on a bullshit "fairy tale" that Siege desperately slapped together to comfort a woman whom thought she was going to die the next morning, but only because Siege didn't tell her that she had already planned a way to smuggle her out of the city
Nazzsalem, the Sarkaz God of War, died off-screen in his own final battle scene; I didn't know that was even possible. We need a new Design of Strife event specifically so we can fight this man as he leads Chapter 11 and Chapter 14 Nachzehrer enemies against us in a massive two-phase battle.

Skyrim NPCs I think should've been marriageable/Skyrim NPCs I want to marry but can't because Todd Howard says no :(
please do not comment "Just Use A Mod or Console Commands", I play Skyrim on my Nintendo Switch I'm already at a disadvantage here- 😭
TW: Insane ramblings about me wanting to marry non-existing, video game NPCs so read at your own discretion, likely bad grammar and spelling ahead.
7: Ulundil, The High Elf Who Sells You Horses in Windhelm, can't marry him because dude is already married but like... He's nice, he's optimistic, and i am willing to comfort him when his wife eventually somehow dies to a dragon or something...
6: Ronthil, The Vampire From Volkihar, I think he's cute, would Maramal officiate a wedding for vampires? Probably not but c'mon.... (Tho I can lowkey imagine the wedding would just become the whole clan murdering everyone in Riften if you did try that, bc... Vampires oof...)
5: Any Of The Khajtt, Just as a whole, personally I wouldn't say I'm a furry but I'd definitely marry J'Zargo or Kharjo or any of the traveling caravan Khajitts if given the chance, I think all of them are neat and it's a shame none of them are marriagable. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
4: Ingun Black-Briar, I like her because she's a Black-Briar who doesn't reek of 'rich asshole', plus her interest in alchemy is something I can get behind, we can make paralysis potions together :3... Having Maven as an In-Law sounds horrible tho, she'd probably murder me if I tried to elope with her daughter. Her ass is lucky she's an essential NPC.
3: Belethor, I like this sleezy mf, I think he's funny and he's always there to buy my unwanted garbage when I come back from a Companions Mission, I Lovethor Belethor
2: Ralof or Hadvar (depending on what side you pick), lowkey think this would've made for a cute, interesting 'childhood friends' type of romance, marrying the first guy you meet in Helgen who helps you escape and assists in beginning your journey as the Dragonborn, plus I think they're both handsome and I need them both in my life.
Honorable Mentions: Ondolemar, likely can't marry him due to him being part of the Thalmor and I'm pretty sure he dies if you pick Stormcloak during the Civil War but honestly I'd marry him bc I think it'd piss off Delphine and I'm petty like that. (Tell me to murder partysnacks, well fuck you I'm gonna go marry the guy who works for your enemy Delphine 🖕)
1: Angi, I'd marry this woman so badly, everytime, you don't even know, she's so cool and the fact I can't marry her feels like a crime :( My Archery Queen...

I first realized that the best ghost stories are love stories after watching The Haunting of Bly Manor, and though I've experienced a lot of media since that reaffirmed that understanding, The Narrow by Kate Alice Marshall really feels like it's closing the loop. It rhymes with Bly in a way that feels like I've come to the end of some great journey, and am now prepared to start another. Like Bly, The Narrow is a story about abuse. It's a story about possession, in more than one sense. And it's a story that asserts that true love, the love that's worth keeping, is the love that knows how to let go.
Our story follows Eden, a senior at a prestigious private boarding high school rich with history and legends, especially around its deadly river, The Narrow, which is unapologetically based on the Bolton Strid. Eden is excited to return to school and escape a summer vacation marred by a profound abuse that she is refusing to think about. However, upon arrival she discovers that her parents have neglected to pay her tuition - coincidentally, they've had to pay a lot of legal fees recently - and she is forced to take on a unique arrangement to remain enrolled. She must act as the live-in companion of fellow student Delphine, a reclusive girl who cannot leave her carefully refurbished dorm room, as any contact with water sends her into seizures. Eden knows something about Delphine that almost no one else does, however - at the beginning of her first year, Eden saw Delphine fall into The Narrow and be swept away - and what The Narrow takes is never returned.
The mystery at the heart of the story is, ultimately, not that complicated, but it is beautiful in its simplicity and the way it plays with the reader's expectations. Those expectations are shaped heavily by Eden's point of view, and Eden is a triumph of an unreliable narrator. She actively avoids thinking about things that weigh on her and occasionally skates over her own actions where they clash with her self-image, but these more obvious and dramatic omissions draw attention away from the subtler ways that her biases and coping mechanisms shape her understanding of the world around her, and it took me until about the three-quarters mark to know where and how to disbelieve her perceptions. She is incredibly compelling, deeply empathetic, and absolutely drowning in self-worth issues. The supporting cast is equally compelling, and the author injects a surprising sense of depth into each member of her friend group in remarkably few lines. Each give the impression of being flawed, well-rounded, but fundamentally decent people, and they all feel very distinct from one another. I was going to highlight one of them as a favorite example, but I genuinely can't pick between them. The adults too are well-rounded and compelling, which I feel is often a shortcoming of horror in an academic setting (is that what dark academia is? no one will tell me). And of course Delphine herself is quite compelling; a little odd, very intense, and eminently sympathetic, her dynamic with Eden is fresh, engaging, and believable.
One thing I really want to highlight about this story is its willingness to engage with real-life messiness that is often elided in ghost stories and love stories. The mechanics of the supernatural are not well understood in this story, and no tomes of ancient lore exist to guide the protagonists. Their methods of interfacing with the supernatural are cobbled together from their own intuition and their vague impressions of the occult from pop culture and religious mysticism, and their efficacy is neither reliable nor consistent. Similarly, the story is not afraid of engaging with the fragility and volatility of young love, the way it can feel all-consuming and eternal in one moment and fizzle out the next. This sort of messiness always appeals to me in fiction, and it is remarkably rare outside of deliberate genre subversions, so I was absolutely thrilled with it here.
I would recommend The Narrow without hesitation to anyone who likes ghost stories. I would also recommend it for its exploration of abuse in a variety of forms, and for its depiction of the aftermath of said abuse. Take that same recommendation as a content warning, though, and I'll toss in a more specific one for involuntary drug use.

storytelling asks: 5, 26, and 32 👀
Eep! Thank you Nonny! 💐
5. How do you choose your characters’ names?
This is probably boring as hell, but mostly by looking at the top names by country in the year that character was born (especially for the early decades/English Darlingtons). Things get a little more specific starting in the 20s, because we have characters whose names are more specifically tied to cultural groups or places. So Antoine’s name is a nod to the oldest restaurant in New Orleans, while Delphine’s (as well as their last name) is specifically pulled from newspaper clippings of the names of Creoles of Color in this era New Orleans. Similarly, Valcita’s name was taken from a Navajo artist online, and Gio’s last name from tombs of early Italian families in New Orleans.
But all and all, as I’m sure yall noticed, I like picking names I can shorten so I’m not constantly repeating the same thing over and over again in text (Rosella, Georgiana, Josephine, Giorgio, Valcita, Violette, anyone?) 🤣
26. Have other sim stories inspired you?
Omg, yes!! The only reason I’m out here at all is because of other’s simmer’s stories. Especially when I got started I wouldn’t be posting right now without being inspired by stories like @pixelnrd, @sinclairesimblr , @allfrogsmatter , and @sims-through-the-decades (and so many more, let’s be real). As I go deeper and deeper down the storytelling rabbit hole I’m also really inspired by my modern simmer babes like @cinamun and @rebouks and how wonderfully thought out their characters and approach to interpersonal relationships are.
(Also sorry for the tags huns I just wanted yall to see that yall are treasured ❤️)
32. Give a light spoiler.
Someone will be rich before the end of the decade. Not all of them, maybe some of them, or maybe only one. But someone will be 😈
Got more storytelling asks?

You reblogged a post about the practical female armors mod for skyrim and now i am being sucked back into the pit of skyrim modding. any mod suggestions? its been a solid couple years since i played and there's a LOT to choose from
Oh man I haven't had a chance to play since my computer broke lemme see what my last modlist was.
(One moment while I force my broken computer to work)
So fair warning, I like survival aspects. I like it when games require me to eat/sleep/do things to live, because then the 15 cheese wheels in my inventory actually mean something besides instant health. I also really like companionship and roleplaying elements, so most of my playthroughs are built around that.
Dependencies not included:
Campfire: Camping mechanics. Supports a party of 4, if I remember correctly. Also lets you craft a few things, but I'm more interested in stargazing with my buddies.
Vitality Mode: Current iteration of "better than Survival Mode" mechanics. Eat/drink/sleep/etc. Does it very nicely with a corner icon that gets more red the worse off you are, rather than whatever SM had going on. Also lets you configure modded food items for it just by eating them!
Pronouns: Pick what pronouns you go by regardless of default body. Will attempt to exclude gendered language if possible (like, it's unavoidable with Brynjolf calling you lad/lass, but you can pick which one it falls back to) if you pick they/them. You can set percentages of different pronoun sets or even have it change randomly on a timer.
Quality World Map: PUTS. THE ROADS. ON. THE MAP. If you're doing no fast travel, this is VITAL. Base map is terrible, next question.
Delphine's Map Reveals Dragon Mounds: Because it should.
Delay the Foresworn Conspiracy Quest: Ever get sick of being roped into that quest immediately? (Makes it so that guy doesn't hand you the note unless you talk to him directly. Main Street Stabbing™ is still there)
Dragonborn Delayed: Ever get sick of being roped into THAT quest immediately? (Especially given the suggested level of Solstheim...you can pick when it happens: after returning the horn, Delphine, Alduin's Wall, meeting Paarthurnax, getting the Elder Scroll, kicking Alduin's tail at the top of the mountain, or killing Alduin)
Extended Encounters: More encounters in the wild! Mercs, adventurers, vampire attacks, etc.
Vittoria's Alternate Wedding: She can get married without you killing her! She's not in engagement hell!!! Only triggers if you destroy the Dark Brotherhood.
Immersive Realistic Party Clothing Overhaul: Wear any "rich" clothes to the party instead of what Delphine gives you. I usually use this with mods that add more fancy clothes.
More To Say: Everyone talks more about a wider variety of things. Lets you tell Meeko he's a good boy and give him a treat. Makes a few new lines with splicing, but I haven't noticed any hard cuts.
Wonders of Weather: Splashy rain and rainbows, occasional shooting stars, scheduled meteor showers
Darker Nights: What it says on the tin. I like using torches and fires, and regular nighttime is unrealistically bright for me.
Whiterun Watchtower Doesn't Start Broken: Because why should it?
Cooking Inns and Taverns: Because I need more cooking pots and ESPECIALLY Hearthfire ovens to find.
C.O.I.N.: Adds immersion by changing coins based on where you are. Ancient Nordic coins are going to be worth less than the standard Septim, while Thalmor gold is worth more. There are Dwemer coins.
More Thalmor Dossiers: Makes more lore books on characters to pick up when you're in the embassy. Also has patches for some followers. Very fun.
Bandolier: More carry weight and it looks cool.
Guard Dialogue Overhaul: Gives guards more to say, and changes their opinions of you as you complete quests.
Bandit Lines Expansion: Bandits talk more, 500+ new lines. Spliced, but it sounded smooth to me.
Alternate Start: If you're sick of the standard Helgen entry, THIS. Also the New Beginnings add-on gives even more options.
No Fast Travel: Honestly this is just a me thing, because I use Vitality Mode and want realism. Only go for this if you're like me and it won't frustrate you.
Followers (aka, my party pre-BG3)
Gore by @goredev: A young Imperial mercenary from Cyrodiil, was ambushed by Thalmor because of some traitorous members of his band. Absolute sweetheart, riveting story, fantastic found family vibes all around. 10/10 would kill for him. Updates often, so check the mod page every now and then after install.
Inigo: An indigo Khajiit who put himself in prison because he thinks he killed you. Amazing banter, very cheeky, comes with his own whistle-signal mechanics. You can buy him a horse if you have the right patch! (He interacts with Lucien right out the gate and has a banter patch with Auri)
Lucien Flavius: An Imperial scholar from Cyrodiil with a myriad of unique mechanics, letting you teach him your own skills in order to customize his battle style. He's in Skyrim looking for a (custom made, well-implemented) Dwemer dungeon. The lad has a MILLION compatibility patches that let him comment on all sorts of mods. (Interacts with Auri right out the gate)
Auri by @sotgofficial: A Bosmer from Valenwood who's having a lot of culture shock in Skyrim (where she's from, canonically, her people are cannibals and don't harm plants—she HATES Faendal with a seething passion). A fantastic character (and archer), a heartwrenching story, openly poly and likes to tease. Will be a little annoyed/depressed until you do her personal quest, so I recommend chipping away at that as you travel. I usually use her with the Refined Auri replacer.
Taliesin by @dynamite124, voiced by @nevermorepjm: My personal favorite, an Altmer and former Thalmor agent you help after he's been mortally wounded. Lots of sassy and witty dialogue, bursting with personality, changes his opinion of you over the course of the main quest. Please I'm begging you watch his trailer.
Khash by @rabbittwinrithings: Darling little Argonian teenager you can take along with you. Doesn't get sarcasm, speaks her mind often, can be coaxed into talking about her past—that's not a typical Argonian name, is it? Resident gremlin alongside Auri.
Back to normal stuff, visuals
Tempered Skins for Males/Females: Gives a decent look without airbrushing everyone because I am SO sick of airbrushing everyone... There are dicks in the setup screen (when you set whether you want them or not), beware.
Improved Eyes: Just a little tweak.
Brows: Another little tweak.
Subliminal Traps: Makes traps less obvious. It's masochistic, yes, but I like my immersion.
Awesome Potions Simplified: You look at these and tell me they aren't the coolest looking potion bottles you've ever seen.

Greetings!! Just posting a fanfic I wrote for my homework :33 (Yes, it is Lennabel) this is also posted on ao3 and wattpad!
——————————–-`♡´-–——————————
A Clandestine Night
In the heart of town, a wealthy man threw a lavish ball, inviting only his closest friends. The event hums with excitement as guests anticipate a night of luxury and camaraderie.
Annabel Lee Whitlock, an undercover spy seeking the rich man's wealth, disguised as one of the man's guests. As for her disguise, she posed as Arabella Delphine, one of the plush man's trusted friends. For her plan to work out, she must not be seen by the host otherwise she would be caught with no way out.
To fit in with the guests, she wore a Midnight Blue bust down strapless evening dress with a black shawl around her upper arms, she had black long satin gloves.
There she arrived at the party right on time, the greeter at the entrance checked her name on the guest list. She was let in effortlessly, she smiled at this—this was gonna be easier than she thought. She walked among the crowds, the giggles and laugh of the other guests rang in her ears yet this didn't distract her, she continued on with her mission of finding the host’s vault.
She was wandering around trying to find a way to sneak into the vault when suddenly she stumbled upon a… woman with a suit? “How unusual…” she dusted off her dress, staring into the woman right in front of her.
“Greetings, I apologize for bumping into you.” she hurriedly spoke, worried.
“It's fine, really. What's your name dear?” Annabel smiled, tucking a strand of her curled hair behind her ear.
“My name's Lenore, Lenore Vandernacht. Pleasure to meet you.” Lenore smiled back, kissing the back of Annabel's hand.
She introduced herself. “I'm Arabella Delphine.” She continued on her disguise, not letting that kiss on the hand expose her.
“Ah! You're one of the host’s friends, yes?”
“Indeed, are you not one of his friends?”
“... I am, yes! I just thought you were one of the staff.”
“A staff?.. wearing a dress?”
"Oh! Well, can the staff not wear formal dress wear in a party as well?” Lenore smiled innocently, a hint of an annoyed tone hidden behind her voice.
Annabel glared “Hm, I suppose.” She uttered in defeat.
The two stood there awkwardly, waiting for the other to speak. It was only a few seconds but time seemed to drag on endlessly, Annabel just wanted to leave and continue to her mission but the other woman spoke.
“What brings you to the party?”
“Well I was invited, of course I would attend it. I never miss a party.”
“Ah, a partygoer. What's your work?”
“Oh, my dad owns a company. It's called ‘AD’ he's planning to make me CEO.”
“I've heard of that company before, are you the daughter of Ambrose Delphine?”
“Indeed, I must leave. I'm meeting up with a friend.”
“I understand, apologies for disturbing you.”
“It's quite alright, it was a pleasure talking to you. Ta-ta!” With that, Annabel quickly left.
Lenore, with a gleam of mischief dancing in her eyes and a playful smirk curling her lips, watched intently, her gaze fixed upon the target. With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, she transmitted her observation through the concealed earpiece, her voice laced with amusement as she confirmed, "Yeah, I got her in sight.”
At the same time, Annabel finally found the vault. Thoughts of getting richer crossed her mind, but she reminded herself to focus on the task at hand. There she twisted the lock instantly opening it, she smiled at the sight of glowing gold before her. Before stepping in, she stopped. She thought for a moment, “This is way too easy,” a hint of suspicion lingered in her voice, she continued “There must be a catch.” she observed inside the vault, trying to find anything unusual or suspicious. When she found none, she took a deep breath before stepping in. No alarms were set up, she let out a sigh of relief. She took out a bag and started with the money first.
After that, she moved on to the gold but she was stopped. She heard a familiar voice behind her speak, her heart dropped to her stomach.
“Well, well, well.. Hello ‘Arabella’.”
Annabel turned around facing the woman she talked to earlier, Lenore. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, I was worried that you wouldn't find your way to your little friend.” Lenore spoke sarcastically. “Tch, I knew you were aiming for the vault. I knew you from the start Annabel Lee Whitlock.”
A drop of sweat fell from Annabel's face as she glared at the woman in front of her. She could feel the tension in the air thickening with each passing moment. “What do you want, Lenore?”
Lenore just smirked playfully, walking closer to the Spy. She whispered in her ear, “Put those back Annabel Lee.”
Therefore Annabel lunged at Lenore, pinning her to the ground. Afterwards Lenore punched her in the face, leaving a bruise. Annabel groaned and stood up, a death glare could be seen. Lenore pinned her against the wall, leaving almost no space between them.
Annabel kicked her in the stomach and ran with money and some gold in her bag. Lenore stumbled and fell on the floor, landing on her butt. She quickly stood up and ran after Annabel, but it was too late, Annabel was already near the exit and Lenore would never reach her. However she kept running after her.
Annabel took off her heels and ran even faster. She got into her getaway car, and the driver drove off, leaving Lenore behind. She stood there, fuming that she hadn't caught the criminal. With a sigh, she informed her boss that she hadn't succeeded in apprehending the criminal. With that, she returned to the party.
During that time, Annabel began to breathe heavily once she got in the car. Exhausted from the running, she glanced at the driver, who wore a puzzled expression.
“Prospero, I- *pant* I didn't get all of it. But I got some!”
Prospero, the driver spoke with a satisfied tone. “Well done, Annabel.”

Some general changes / info updates i need to add to the muses on this blog.
warning, long post and rushed sketches

Adrianna is a rich lady, just not, Bill Gates/globally-rich (can't believe i'm making that parallel). She's more like mafia-rich, has enough money to live in luxury without bringing too much attention to herself. She's a household name only in certain, tighter circles, some less legal than others. Can walk down the street without necessarily being recognized. She's more lowkey, that's the point. No bodyguards, no chef, no secretary, no corporation. The nature of where her money comes from is unclear/left open to interpretation. She's def still doing merc work as a side hustle tho.

Marcus is a uni prof. There, i said it, he's out of the woods and unto higher education (again, wtf are the words i'm using). Still a werewolf, but like, he's got a job now. This tickles my funny bone because university professor/librarian is actually an AU version of him that lives rent free in my head so i wanna smush those two together. So Anthropology/language expert Marcus is a professor at a local university. Nothing flashy, nothing that draws too much attention. Once a month he takes a long drive out in nature (with either an old ass car or an even older, run down motorcycle, up to be decided), to "unwind and get some fresh air", lol. He's been at this job for a while, keeps it lowkey, has a somewhat okish reputation as the quiet, slightly awkward foreign teacher that doesn't understand the subtleties of this culture.
Tumblr media
Achim is older and in his underground-fighting era. A bit of a celebrity, a bit of a heart throb with the ladies (and some lads too), a bit of an asshole, if he hasn't had his meal yet. When he's not getting punched for people's entertainment he's a club bouncer, but he does a bunch of other stuff too, like moving boxes, bringing in supplies, fixing that loose cabinet door, etc. He's more street smart than book smart. A bit abrasive with people he doesn't know, but super chill and nice within his small circle of friends. Secretly takes reading and writing classes.
Tumblr media
Terry is basically the same, with the added feature that she is well aware that she cannot die and is a lil shit about it. Slightly deranged in the head, but like in a very cutesy, very demure way. Fashion Icon. Knows everybody (as in, she knows my other muses and a lot of other ppl too, whatever the plot calls for). Easily the best girl in this shit show.
Tumblr media
Isaac is forever. Eternal. Ever-lasting. My boy is perfect, no need to switch him up. Maybe just explore his unhinged self a lil bit more.
Bonus:
Viktor and Emily, vampire cousins. Viktor is Achim's frenemy/foil type of character. Likes poetry unironically, doesn't understand modern frivolities, hates himself but thinks he's better than you. So basically an elder emo. Emily is the younger one of the two, Belle Delphine-coded, bdsm ballerina, fan-favorite goth girl with smol tiddies. Says "nya" unironically and has a major crush on Achim, truly believes they will get married one day. Viktor and Emily don't like eachother, but it's more him not liking her while she's just iffed out.

Is there anyone rich who doesn't want to take advantage of you?
Tumblr media
"Hm... OH! Yeah. Asmodeus is probably one, Bee definitely. Rosie was nice the one time I talked to her! Is Alastor rich? Cos if so he doesn't either. Angel too, though... dunno if they count cos Valentino gets all the money. Vassago! He seems nice. My brother, and Opal. Delphine! Fizzarolli too. Lucifer and Charlie and Keenie, and Vine. Lots of people! I don't wanna fuck all of them, some of them are family, but they're nice to me."

Recently finished and enjoyed: Christopher Buehlman's dark fantasy/horror/historical fiction, Between Two Fires, is the perfect read for Easter.
I'm not being sarcastic; this story of a disgraced knight, Thomas*, trying to survive in wake of the Black Death and teaming up with a girl, Delphine, who sees angels while demons walk the Earth is very seasonal! The Harrowing of Hell is more than merely name-dropped!
(*The Doubting Thomas reference must be deliberate but didn't occur to me until I typed his name just now.)
I blogged about Buehlman's Blacktongue Thief a few months ago and said it was also fantastic, with a compulsively readable voice. Between Two Fires doesn't have quite so entertaining a narrator--it's in third person rather than first person--but it's still very well-written, not ornate but fast-paced, often clever and snappy--
"No town is named Town." "Mine was. Townville-sur-Cunting-Town. What did your papa do again?" "He was a lawyer." "it shows. Now shut up."
--and rich in historical details.
Like Marilynne Robinson's Gilead, you'll probably get the most out of this book if you have some interest in or at least tolerance of Christianity. But there's definitely a point in the climax where the most annoying Christians would pull their hair out over the blasphemy/heresy/sheer cheek. Plus all the cute little blasphemies along the way.
The demons and Hell are two-thirds medieval horrors with a healthy leavening of tentacles. Indeed there are some sword-vs-tentacle fights that bring me back to my days reading the sword and sorcery tales that birthed as many elder gods as Lovecraft did. (This is praise! It was fun!) There are also some scenes that hit me in the same way the Exorcist did, not through the blasphemy (that part was also fun!) but because it struck at a modern person's values the way I guess blasphemy would hit the medieval, and that's a content warning for threatened CSA (it wasn't fun, but then I did pick up a horror novel expecting to be horrified. Also, it won't spoil the book to say it's not followed through on.). Other content warnings for disease (mostly but not only the Black Death), violence, medieval-level homophobia and antisemitism (both condemned by narrative context in ways that aren't particularly subtle, but which also avoid feeling like modern PSAs), descriptions of injuries and corpses, and possibly others that I'm not recalling at the moment. That list should give a flavor; if you have particular content concerns, StoryGraph has some more details in its reviews. Also a review of this book that beats mine--"5.0 Stars this book made me wish i believed in god".
I've seen Buehlman's The Blacktongue Thief advertised as the newest wave of grimdark fantasy, which I guess it is--it's not a fantasy world we'd enjoy visiting--though it had too much a sense of humor to feel really grim to me. And heart. This book also has both humor (not so much as Blacktongue Thief, and neither of them are fucking Terry Pratchettt, but the kind of dry comic relief that goes naturally with dire circumstances) and heart. My favorite character was probably the gay priest they adopt along the way. It goes onto the pile alongside The Black Company novels and Richard K. Morgan's Land Fit for Heroes* as evidence that grimdark fantasy is a genre profoundly interested in human decency, whether revealed by the lack of it or its perseverance through the most unexpected circumstances.
Minor gripe about the last seventy-five pages or so, probably too cryptic to be a spoiler: Personally I think the story was a bit too easy on the Pope--sure, some of it can be blamed on the demons, but he was also clearly corrupt in a human and unpleasant way (not least by making Robert a "gift" to the cardinal) before the demons showed up, and that doesn't seem to impact his spiritual power. But 1) arguably the guy went through a sort of purgatory before then, and some of his power might actually come from Delphine and 2) the cosmos of this world has room for redemptive grace, the big version, so he may well be an example.
No ending spoilers, but throughout the book I had some good cathartic cries, both for grief and for relief and, okay, because the grace on both human and cosmic levels touched me, I think it's beautiful that we can choose to forgive others and be better ourselves than we were yesterday and even in the darkest times hope fucking perseveres, okay??
The least interesting analysis/critique of this book is that Delphine is a Mary Sue. (It helps a great deal that she's also a realistically, caringly depicted human preteen who can be silly, caring, clever, brave, and annoying--not to the reader but to the characters around her--in turns.) The most misleading analysis of this book is that it's a stellar example of the Found Family trope (in that many people who love the trope might not be prepared for the tone, and people who dislike the tone of most stories advertised as Found Family could still enjoy the book). The most interesting, but probably still misleading, way to approach the book is to debate whether Delphine is more inspired by Joan of Arc, Julian of Norwich, The Last Unicorn, or some other medieval saint and/or fantasy character. Come to think of it, she's pretty clearly a sister to the Infanta in Blacktongue Thief, though both the Infanta and Delphine might be surprised to hear it.
*I'm rereading the LFFH trilogy to get back in touch with my teenage self who first read it, but I don't necessarily recommend it, not least because Morgan's taken a transphobic turn (I will say I don't think you could have predicted it from the books, in fact that makes the turn all the more appalling and disappointing), also because it is extremely grim and its fascination with human decency doesn't really make up for how monotonous it gets by like the 200th page of torments and horrors. I enjoy horror fiction and gobble angst like candy and it's gotten too angsty for me. Between Two Fires was a nice break from it!

Delphine (new RO)
Age: about 571 in human years (but she looks about 28)
She has a deeper voice, closest to Miley Cyrus' pitch. She has a slight southern accent.
Height: 6'1 and she loves wearing gogo boots or high heels so she always pushing 6'3 or taller.
She's from the planet Cypress Velo. Delphine is a succubus alien that can use a glamor to hide her appearance from humans (and take the form of who they desire the most, like Aphrodite. However, this costs her a lot of energy, so she usually uses her own good looks and charm instead)
Delphine works as a bartender and dancer at some of the seedier nightclubs both before and after the invasion (because you know those kinds of establishments will never fall... NEVER!)
Delphine grew up rich. Like, has a private jet type of rich. She has no uses for such human measures of wealth, though. She prefers to be around fun, genuine people (and food...)
Tumblr media
She's just a very beautiful woman and I need her in a way that is detrimental to the human race's existence.
I'll put out more information about her as I develop her more as a RO!
All my love,
Cheye

Note
why has no one asked about Ylrith yet??? please tell us more about Ylrith
:3c
In all fairness, I don’t post about her that much. Mostly because I’m not currently working on any stories that directly involve her so she’s not in my brain as much. I LOVE her, I’m just more focused on the characters I work with more often lol
But basically: poly lesbian mob boss with a snake obsession
Tumblr media
She’s the head honcho of a centuries-old crime syndicate called The Gray Order. Ylrith (il-rith) herself usually goes by “The Gray Matron”, but her enemies have given her a plethora of other, similarly sinister names. By now, the Order has connections all across Azeroth, in most any faction worth a damn. The opening up of Kalimdor to the rest of the world was one of the best things to happen to her.
The Order specializes in smuggling drugs, weapons, and other illicit items, but Ylrith will ferry war refugees to safer lands too, and other such things. All she wants is money and more people under her thumb — if you have the money, or are willing to do a favor for her, she’ll help you do what it is you want done. Her trademark phrase isn’t “A favor for a favor, darling” for nothing. Of course, she’s a master of wordcraft, and often gets people to promise more than they think. She’s also got informants everywhere — brothels in the big cities, innkeepers, compromised city guards, and so on — and thus is master of blackmail. You go to her to discuss a deal, you say something she doesn’t like, and she’ll drop a detail about your life you thought no one else knew.
She also has an EXTENSIVE snake collection of species from all over Azeroth and even beyond. If we’re being realistic a lot of the money she makes goes into caring for them lmao she just really loves snakes <3 In fact I was leaning so hard into the snake thing I decided to just say she’s (the elf equivalent of) autistic because no neurotypical person could possibly be that into snakes KSBXBJD Which makes her my second autistic night elf, the first being Cathala 💜 Yet another win for lesbians.
The third key thing about her is the upper crust of the Order are all in a sapphic polycule. They use their powers of polyamory for evil (affectionate). Ylrith is also kind of(?) a “lesbian femme fatale type”. One of her favorite activities is fucking with the royalty of patriarchal cultures like humans by seducing the wives of powerful men and then helping them kill their husbands, the end result being Ylrith now has control over that piece of land at best, and that rich woman’s loyalty at worst. It’s enrichment for her.
Now for more art. This first one is her and her spymaster/favorite assassin/girlfriend Delphine Kaltel, a.k.a. The Serpent’s Fang. Originally Delphine had actually been hired to kill Ylrith but it was an enemies-to-lovers thing <3
Tumblr media
This one’s her and her blue dragon girlfriend Tyalagosa, who’s sort of her “court” mage, I suppose:
Tumblr media
(She has more gfs/people in the Order’s upper crust, those are just the only two I’ve named, designed, and drawn. One I have yet to draw is Evelyn Torvannas, another Nightborne. She’s the head of a fairly powerful merchant family in Suramar.]
One showing off her other tattoo:
Tumblr media
And her voice claim :) (Morrigan from Dragon Age: Inquisition)
Plus this dumb meme that sums her up perfectly imo:
Tumblr media
I also like to imagine she has the stupidest most cartoonish rivalry with Shaw lmao. She doesn’t see him as a threat whatsoever and loves toying with the funny little human man, while he fucking HATES her because she’s got her tendrils all up in the Alliance but always worms her way out of repercussions. WLW and MLM hostility.
