Apparently I didn't know but Fields of Mistria had an update that added more pronouns options for the player and ngl I'm tearing up a bit because no game ever had let me do he/she or she/he pronouns together before and I've always had to conform to one or the other or just they so this is like... huge to me, it's insanely important no matter how small it is so I'm just like- on my knees rn

Nearly the exact same message too, what??? They messaged me last night merely like 2 minutes after I posted my last piece of art but only popped the incriminating message today (scammers gotta sleep too y’know!)

Sorry for double posting but APPARENTLY those commission scammers have showed up on Tumblr at least for the first time for me.

For those who don’t know what I am talking about, there were/are commission scams going on in Instagram and even places like Artstation where people would pretend to be interested in your work and try to commission a pet or portrait for the sake of trying to get your bank details. Here’s how to (somewhat) sniff them out:

1- They don’t seem to be an average customer/ person that would be involved in your fandom, or has a blank template for an account or don’t even follow you.

2- They ask you to draw a portrait or a pet picture either for themselves or their children/family.

3- They promise to overpay you (in the hundreds) and do not listen to you even if you firmly state the price is cheaper.

4- They are constantly asking for your email name, or private details regarding things like banking details or passwords or other private information others should not know.

5- They try and over reassure you they mean no harm, try to guilt you into giving them the info, or become aggressive over you not giving them what they want.

What should you do if you come across one of these guys? My best advice is to block and report. Sadly these people jump account to account so there isn’t really much to do other than spread this info to prevent artists from being scammed.

A few weeks later your friends come back from their trip and are excited to tell you all about it, they go on for hours about all the fun stuff they did together and as they talk you sit there and think “damn… maybe it was just my own fears, insecurities and negativities that kept me from enjoying a nice time with my friends” this thought eats away at you for a few minutes until you realize that one of your friends isn’t present

“Hey where’s Susan?”

You think that maybe she was busy and couldn’t show up to the hangout but no one mentioned her at all and she had not left any messages in the group chat so you’re confused, they all look amongst themselves and then laugh

“Oh yeah we forgot to tell you! When we were in the forest some weird dude with a mask and knife chased us around for a few hours it was wild!” Your loudest friend recalled the memory of the event before your nerdiest friend continued “yeah we kept telling Susan to run faster because she was falling back but after a bit we sorta lost her and the masked guy haha?” They all laughed and so did you… a bit afraid to to express your obvious concern as you made a mental note “Iam always right and should never doubt myself”

A few hours later someone knocks your front door and when you as a group go to open it you find none other than Susan standing outside covered in mud, grime and plants

Blood of the Living - Demo 1

Hello everyone!

As promised, today I have released the first public demo for Blood of the Living, sequel to Fields of Asphodel.

The demo contains the character creator from FoA, plus a basic 'save creation' system, so that at least some of the flavor text in BotL will reflect your FoA playthrough of choice.

Keep in mind, of course, that only playthroughs that resulted in the Underworld Ending (those where the PC chose to spend half time or more in the Underworld), will be carried into the sequel. The Olympus Ending is a complete story as-is, and the sequel will not continue from it.

Chapters One and Two of the game are both included in the demo, to a total of approximately 120,000 words.

Features:

Tone indicators are making a comeback. You'll have to turn them on from the stats screen, as they are off by default.

A new feature that allows you to more permanently set touch preferences is also available from the stats screen. By default, the game will still periodically inquire whether your inclinations or aversions regarding physical touch have changed, but if you'd rather just set this and forget it, the new option may be for you.

NPC initiative also returns, and is on by default. More information on all these settings can be found in the stats screen, if you're not sure what I'm talking about.

Hello everyone!

The demo for Well of The Divine is now up! It's a shorter one for now and includes the prologue, character customisation, and the first part of your childhood.

I've already started the next part of the childhood stuff as I was going to post it all together but I thought I'd like to share some of what I have with you now! Hopefully this means the wait time between this and the next part won't be too long.

I hope you enjoy and that you don't mind it's a bit on the shorter side. I'll keep working on the final bit of the childhood stuff and when that's done we can jump right into adulthood where everything kicks off!

THE WAY I CRIED

Shop owner 🌸 and 🐉 who comes by everyday to get something without fail. The first time you met was uneventful; just one normal customer amongst the many-- if a huge guy dressed in expensive-looking tailored outfits was the norm. You called him "sir" the first couple of times, but after a few pleasant conversations and comfortable laughter, you began to affectionately greet him with a "Hello, stranger." He flushed at that and immediately introduced himself because he always forgot to do so before. You laughed and proposed that "stranger" be your exclusive nickname for him, to which he reluctantly agreed. He eventually grew to like it.

If you sell flowers, he'll rotate between bouquets and mention that they're for his grandmother. If you're a pharmacist, he'll pick up vitamins and maintenance meds daily. You ask why he just doesn't get a bottle once a month, so he'll share that his father's a bit forgetful so he personally hands it to him daily. It doesn't really answer why he needs to buy exactly one tablet each, once a day-- but you're not one to press people.

If you sell...rice, he's basically providing 90% of your income by picking up several kilos every day. You ask if he's running an orphanage with how much he needs, but he just laughs and spills that he has growing brothers and they both eat like hungry crocodiles.

Honestly, you quickly catch on that he just likes talking to you. You don't really see him around outside of his appearances to buy something, so it must take a bit of effort to travel from wherever he comes from. So one day you jokingly mention, "You should just move next to me if my wares are that integral to your life. God knows we need more neighbors here besides retired old ladies and their noisy grandkids ringing my doorbell for shits and giggles."

"I wish you would move into my house."

"Sorry, what was that? The neighbor's music is a bit loud."

He smiles a polite "nothing" before bidding you farewell for the day. A week passes by and he doesn't come again. You wonder if what you said was off-putting to him, but you settle with the more positive thought that he must have a lot going on in his private life. You find yourself hoping he'd pass by again so you could apologize if your joke offended him in any way. Odd as your relationship is, you do think of him as a friend.

So when one day you're walking home from having visited the groceries, your surprise is immeasurable as you stroll by Ms. Betsy's house. Because instead of the cranky auntie who liked to yell at kids and hiss at visiting stray cats, there now stands a guy. A huge guy with equally huge shears shaping the bushes around shrubs of roses that you swear Ms. Betsy never had. A guy that you know very well.

You do remember that the auntie used to like droning about how she'd sell that house and fly to a different country as soon as the opportunity arises, but...

"Hello, stranger..?" You greet with an equal amount of hesitation, confusion, and relief.

He turns. You swear your stomach exploded into a fit of butterflies when a mischievous smile plays on his lips.

"Why, hello... neighbor. You were not joking when you mentioned the children who enjoy ringing doorbells."

You laugh, "Did I mention shopkeepers who ring their neighbor's doorbells yet?"

"That," he replies as he begins sauntering back to his house, "I do not mind." When his hand reaches the door knob, he looks back to you with a grin, "Would you like a cup of tea? You can tell me more about this mysterious shopkeeper over a tray of honey biscuits."

Okay im not seeing anyone talk about this so im going to start it

First DEMO 4 SPOILERS AHEAD!

Okay so i was just doing this because i was struggling with the temple guardian so i decided to go get griefer's card and, MAYOR THANIYEL JUST DROPPING A NEW CHARACTERS NAME LIKE ITS NOTHING?? WHO THE ACTUAL FUCK IS KLEOS?? like i'd assume their the windbreaker's guardian but its not even colored? maybe there isn't a color for the windbreaker yet? i have so many questions and none of them are being answered, but that's mainly it i just wanted to talk about this because no one else has

It’s a first for me, I usually prefer to read everyone’s theories about the game and just enjoy, but after playing the Touchstarved 2.0 demo; I couldn’t hold it anymore. SPOILERS AHEAD!

So for more context, my favorite character has always been Leander from the start, a close second would be Kuras and I can’t even express how happy I am with the new portrayal of their characters.

Everyone has been reworked (I think), some more than others, but I really enjoyed the nuances added to our lovely love interests.

Kuras

They made him more playful; OG Kuras appeared to be quite aloof, and while I enjoyed the stoic doctor charm; I actually prefer this silly side we were able to witness. Especially at the end when you chose to go for him, the scene where we follow him around feels more mischievous and it’s just Kuras annoying the Senobium cleric (simply cause he can). He gives us a little tour, and the new background is soooo pretty. The moment at the end before we part, and fall in his arms is even more heart fluttering. Also keep in mind that if you want the red option for Kuras you’ll have the play as the Unnamed origin.

Ais

Ok, so I have to admit, I always had a soft spot for Ais, he’s just a chill guy, and I feel like we would vibe a lot together x) In the new demo he seems slightly more cold when we meet him (maybe it’s just me). But his solo scene is one of my favorite, I’m just a sucker for people who compliments my laugh (*wink wink) 🤭 This moment was just so sweet and he appeared much softer thanks to it.

Mhin

What a cutie patootie… They made Mhin way more likable in my opinion, while they’re still our blushing tsundere, I loved how we were able to see a more vulnerable side of them.

We don’t have to die anymore 🥳 More seriously, I didn’t mind the death part, but it’s still nice to have a chance to put foxy in his place (blushing Vere?!) Overall he appeared more relaxed as well, which make sense; if he wants us to trust him, he would have to be more relatable and try to get on our good graces.

Leander

Oh my goodness. Correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like they reworked Leander’s dialogues the most. I don’t mind the name change (from Bloodhounds to Adderstones) even though I would like to know why they removed the "as above so below" slogan. Can we talk about how more INTENSE Leander is in this new version? It was more subtle in the past one, but here, he clearly appears as a cult leader, kinda out of reach even, which is why the MC would feel more special to get his attention. We still don’t know how exactly the Adders operate, though it seems you can’t just barge in and talk to the high and mighty Leander… (we were able to do so, only after mentioning Kuras). I was relishing on every scenes we had with this guy. At the end when you chose him especially, this is where you can clearly tell he’s a manipulative bastard. The "I’m jealous" comment? The joke on having us on a leash?? (for our safety of course haha 😃) The love bombing? He’s so unhinged and I love that. The cherry on top is truly the way he told us he had informations regarding the curse, and is the one proposing to talk about it in our room. LOCKING THE DOOR, of course he’s observant and notices MC being uncomfortable, and manipulate us into urging him to stay. He knows at this point that we’re hopeless, and use it to his advantage to have us exactly where he wants. Things get slightly heated and when MC is reluctant; he just apologies and LEAVES??? Um sir, what about the infos you were supposed to give us? I literally had goosebumps reading this passage, and I think MC felt the same way, I love the way they portrayed the realization settling in, like "Wait a minute?"

where do I even BEGIN??

the music is always been one of my favourite aspects about block tales, and the music in demo 4 was absolutely phenomenal. ESPECIALLY Ancient Tomb, Vermillion Village and Bizville Docks (my personal favourites)!! although, personally, I didn’t feel like The Ancients theme fit with the atmosphere the boss gave off with its appearance and dialogue. but the song was still incredible. go listen to the OST when you can, it’s amazing as always!! block tales music literally never disappoints

speaking of the Ancients, its?? their?? design is absolutely superb. at first I couldn’t stop staring at it, and then I COULDN’T stop staring at it because I kept DYING and needing to START OVER!! closest i got to raging over block tales. worse than the 3 fears in the pit and i mean that. i will NOT be doing demo 4 on hard mode im not mentally ready yet Give me 7 more years

Ok moving on Shivers I ADORRREEE FICTIONAL PIRATES!!! I HAVE PIRATE OCS!! I LOVE PIRATE CHARACTERS IN MEDIA!! I LOVE OTHERS PIRATE OCS!! so you can imagine how excited I was when they first showed up in THE block tales!!! i’m in love with the way they speak too, they’re how I strive to be!! i also hope that Calypso and Kyoko get reunited Let them be Happy Ok

Ok so ive established I Love Pirates. Fictional of course. So. You can ALSO imagine how absolutely distraught I was when I found all the pirates lying dead dude. my only complaint is I wish more was done with them. they would have made a great bunch for future demos…. but a man can only dream…. bursts into tears

and. i dont know how many people will share this opinion but i absolutely AODRE the great flocci?!?! I WISH HE HAD A BIGGER ROLE IN DEMO 4, BECAUSE HE’S SO CHARMING?! misterbeaverfever when he sees a fictional well-designed character that speaks in a recognisable/abnormal way
