Back with the others, but just not their "finalized" design Mainly because whenever I consider a design finalized I turn out to be a liar and change it the following week.

Self-roast aside, here is my current versions of the other three.

I didn't mention this in my other post but I've set this in not high school. Putting these characters in fantasy high school is so boring. So I also demodernized them, making them look more fantasy/medieval.

Jay: Aka that one guy who got nothing to do in 3 whole movies.

Jay is actually Aladdin and Jasmine's son, stolen by Jafar when he was a baby. Pulling a Rapunzel on us. He is blessed by Genie magic from his godfather, the Genie, which are suppressed by his bracers.

He is Mal's right hand man, unaware of his true heritage.

Carlos: He red

His new tragic backstory is that his mother made him into her personal mannequin. But to truly represent the "De vil" brand she permanently dyed his skin devil red. Naturally people are freaked out by his appearance and are afraid of him, while Carlos is actually a very sweet and sky person. Also he will wear a giant ass coat in his final design, it's just not here rn.

Evie: She basically is the MC of this rewrite, not Mal lol. She works as a seamstress on the Isle of the lost, keeping herself busy to avoid her mother. Just like with Snow White, the evil Queen is angered by her daughter's beauty and it's only a matter of time before she decides to take her out.

Okay so the first thing I thought of when kylie(red) pulled out all the spray paint and start doing her thing, was Mal. Like Disney bae it's giving Mal dupe.

Second and this one got me cracking was The Merlin Academy. Like My brain totally disregarded it as in I FORGOT ABOUT IT, so imagine to my horror when red is spray painting I see them BLAM! Plastered on the wall in all their Evil Glory.

Okay so I found this picture on Instagram where someone got a close up and other than Ulyanna, Maleficent, Hades and Hook, I don't know who the others are ( sorry not sorry) Now underneath the picture we can see on a plaque the words "vk students" now this made me realize why the title vk was so accepting when the core four came to aruadon, Because it wasnt the first time the title had been given/used.

Now look at this close up of teen Maleficent all I have to say is Wtf is that.

If those things at the side of her head are supposed to be horns, respectfully she needs to chop them tf off?? And is she wearing a ponytail??? Now I haven't seen Maleficent in a long time but isn't she supposed to have brown hair? Now idc if they give her a different hair color but the outfit and those HORNS especially are not giving!!!.

Like I saw someone do a redesign of this descendantofthesparrow I think and it was jaw dropping absolutely gorgeous, like mam what's your major? Anyways yeah I've seen this person done a ton of redesign and rewrites that when I watch descendants I'm like "oh yeah, this is Canon and the good stuff is fanfic"

Now this whole time travel thing doesn't make sense to Me because am I really supposed to believe that Hades who's older Than all of them by thousands of years went to school with them? Like what.

I'm going to assume Ulyanna is the Leader of the gang because she's in the middle and everyone else is in the back and from what we've seen the Leader is always in the middle.

Now I have a feeling rise of red will be pushing to make Hades and Maleficent a thing so we can see how Mal became a thing, just an assumption. Respectfully If they try to make hook and ulyanna a thing I will jump tf off. There was something else I wanted to say about Hades and Maleficent but I forgot and will most likely reblog this post when I remember.

now this is the Queen of Hearts and once again Descendants isn't following Canon because I'm pretty sure Carlos mentioned at one point that he used to drive his mom to the queen of hearts castle.

Now if I didn't know already that this is the queen of hearts and u shoved this pic in my fave and was like "girly who do you think this is?" I WOULD NOT SAY THE QUEEN OF HEARTS, I MEAN JUST LOOK AT HER SHE'S RED! Where are the other colors??? There's no white, no black just RED. Now as a theatre kid we've done better, with less money!!!. Disney I hope you are ashamed because you should be.

Now descendants brandy Cinderella has blue hair which doesn't make any damn sense so I'm guessing that's why Chole has blur hair. I really wish there outfits were better because with the og 4 we could tell what their main colors were without it being to much but now It's Def too much. I've got a few more things to add because I feel like I haven't said everything I wanted to so maybe I'll reblog with more later. Who knows

Genderbend versions of MLB characters.

Volpe's design was inspired by Callimara's redesign of Volpina.

Chatte Noire's outfit is inspired by the outfit Mal wears during most of Descendants 3.

I added blue to Doragon's colour scheme because I wanted his outfit to be as assymetrical as possible, because I wanted to represent his connection to water and air and because of Callimara's redesign of Ryuko where she explaines the lore behind blue dragons.

I was looking thought your page (loving all the art btw it amazing and magical) and I run into your design for Audrey and I was wondering why she is white in this, which leads to this questions, and I don't want to sound mean, how do you decide character races? Is the races base on the original Disney movies and if that the case how that effect connected characters from other movies and shows? Like for example, if you do Carlos de vil would he still be black, or would he be white? If this common off as mean, I am so sorry, I wasn't trying to be.

No no its a totally fine question! I did decide to do the redesigned characters as the races of their Animated Movie parents, because I was going off of how the Descendants would be if Disney created them in a sort of hypothetical continuation of what they did with Melody and Jane and such.

Oh and I actually have done Carlos, I've done literally all the Descendants I could find on the wiki xD

If you check out the Canon Descendants tag you should be able to find them!

But yeah I have absolutely no problem with the races of any of the kids in the actual movies, it was just that since I was basing the redesigns on their animated parents some of them would end up being white--or green in Mal's case xD

OC Updates

So for those who have been with me for awhile, you might remember my Descendants Original Characters!

For refresher we have:

Gabelle LeGume- the rough and tumble only daughter of Gaston and twin sister to Gil, just fighting to make it in a man’s world. She is in a relationship with Chad Charming, and is the leader of the G Gang

Holly Olympian- the sweet and spice daughter of Hades and best friend to Gabelle and sister to Hadie (and apparently half-sister to Mal), just trying to find her place. She is in a relationship with Audrey, and is Gabelle’s second in command.

Caine Frollo- the pathetic son of Claude Frollo who is just an annoyance to everyone on the Isle, he is a member of Ginny Gothels group, and is single.

Rochella Heart- If I’m being honest I don’t remember a lot about her character other than she was the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, was a member of Gabelle’s gang, and dated Clay Clayton-

Gabriella Charming- The sweet as sugar daughter of Cinderella and King Charming, and younger sister to Chad. As Princess of Cinderellasburg, she took it upon herself to show Gabelle the ropes of Princess-hood and along the way fell in love and began a relationship with Gil.

Now that we are all reacquainted with my OC’s…

I’m scrapping a couple of them. Or at least thinking about it.

I’m thinking about getting rid of Rochella because honestly I didn’t do a lot with her anyways and I kinda just created her because I was in a OC-creating frenzy at the time. I think it says a lot that I genuinely don’t remember a lot about her character so I’m probably gonna yeet her right out the window.

I’m also thinking of getting rid of… Gabriella. I know- I know- put down the pitchforks and hear me out.

Gabriella might just get a full redesign instead of a full scrap. Just while I was going through my posts she was giving me pretty big Mary Sue vibes and I no longer like the fact that her and Chad (who are siblings) are both in relationships with another pair of siblings (Gil and Gabelle respectively).

I don’t like how similar her name is with Gabelle anymore. At the time I did because realistically there would be some name overlap but now it’s just confusing when I look back.

Gabelle might get a little redesign because I think I made her too overpowered strength-wise and I think maybe she’s a little too… idk, grouchy? But I’m still debating. Overall, her character will probably remain the same with minor changes.

And the same goes for Holly. Overall I like her, but she might get some minor changes.

I also might be thinking about doing a fanfiction with my OC’s so keep on the lookout for updates regarding that if anyone would like to read it 👀

If you don't know who is king darkness he is the husband of the dimension queen and father of Crystal and king darkness didn't want a child because he wasn't ready and he was pure evil so he left and sometimes show up and Crystal needs he's help to defend the queen and Prince of Velveton so she needs the crystal of black fire so she could protect them both but her father and Crystal is half evil like her father a bit mostly she misses him so much and him at the same time.

i wanted to make her a mix of her parents’ animated looks bc they’re the most iconic! to show she’s kinda grumpy and aloof i used heavy bangs, since it covers her eyes a bit to show less emotion. sharp edges for edginess! aspects of her original design i kept are her leather jacket and clunky boots.

I Redesigned Mal's Wedding Dress!

Ok so I've been a fan of the costume design in the Descendants movies since the first one came out. However, when we were shown through the animated youtube shorts what Mal's wedding dress is going to look like, I was APPAULED and felt personally attacked by how hideously plain it was!

Like...SERIOUSLY?! THAT is the best they could've come up with?! This Isn't even dropping the ball, this is just not even bothering to throw it at all! especially when we compare it to the other dresses we've seen Mal In! Aka....

THESE!

So yeah I was not about to let this mediocre mockery slide. I knew for a FACT that I could design a better wedding dress for her in my sleep, and it was gonna eat away at my soul until I did I! so here it is!

I decided to try and do a fusion of Mal's coronation dress and her cotillion dress while adding my own personal touches! I kept the silhouette and color pallete of the Coronation Dress and added in my favorite parts of the cotillion dress which are the scorch marks and burn holes in her layered skirt and cape! But instead of regular black scorch marks, i made them lavender instead! I also added tiny white pearls around the edges of the scorch marks and on the bodice! And of course I had to go ham on the dragon motif so I gave her a pair of transparent dragon wings (that are shaped a little more like fairy wings cuz mal's half fairy) and a matching collar! Like a nice little Ever After dress moment (which you will see in my little reference collage below)

and of course we need a little commotion on the back of the dress, so I made this beautiful beaded dragon for the back of the dress! Which also serves a practical purpose because the wings will fuse with the dragon and the beading will cover up where the wings are atatched! The dragon is made of lavender and white pearls with chunky amethyst crystals to add different texture and to match mal's crown! (which I also redesigned for this! It's based off of sansa stark's crown from game of thrones because the body looks like dragon scales!

And as you can see in the reference collage, I also decided to give Mal viking braids in her hair because I thought it would look cool and I was right! I hope you all like it, because I sure do! And now my soul can finally be at peace knowing I did it better XD
