Desertbus is a charity stream supporting child’s play, a charity that makes like slightly less terrible for children in hospitals, while playing a terrible bus game.

Well okay!! I won my first ever #Desertbus art challenge after submitting to challenges for the past..5 years?! I think I’ve had multiple honorable mentions but never a win! Amazing!!! This has made my month, honestly.

Hi, so not everyone knows about this, but Desertbus For Hope is going on right now. It's a rad group of people raising money for charity. Do you like MINECRAFT? Do you like COOL MINECRAFT STUFF? Do you like HELPING KIDS IN HOSPITALS?

If so, especially if you miss the great vibes and good feelings of the Hermitcraft Charity Livestream, I'm gonna point your attention to the last days of the Desert Bus for Hope charity livestream marathon, currently running on Twitch! They're raising money for Child's Play, an organization that has been putting video games and video game education into hospitals worldwide for almost twenty years now. They work with Gamer's Outreach, the organization the Hermits raised money for in their livestream! So far this year they have raised almost 800,000 dollars over 143 hours of playing the world's most boring video game (Desert Bus) 24/7 on stream, for a total of over nine million dollars lifetime.

One of the ways they raise money is by doing amazing giveaways, where a small donation of a particular amount between 5-10 dollars gets you an entry to win the item. Tomorrow, November 19, on the last day of the 2022 run, they are giving this away:

This is the Heroic Replicas version of the Minecraft diamond sword, made of aluminum and acrylic gems and sized proportionately to the sword in the game. It's an amazing and gorgeous piece and will hopefully raise a lot of money in the last hours of the run. The giveaway will run for an hour, sometime between 9am-3pm Eastern Standard Time, along with lots of other giveaways, silent auctions, sketches, a Minecraft Server tour of the Desert Bus 2022 server, and lots of other cool things.

I'm being serious when I say that Desert Bus For Hope is how I recharge my "there are lots of good people in the world" batteries every year, and it's worth checking out at desertbus.org or twitch.tv/desertbus , even if you're not in a position to donate. Wonderful, funny people working for a wonderful cause!
