i started playing spider-man ps4 in like. 2018. and i didn’t get super far into it but then i just kinda didn’t really use the ps4 until this week, and i’ve gone back to play (and hopefully finish) it, and either i don’t remember 80% of it or i just missed SO much last time lmao
#like i remember one of the last things i did before i didn’t touch it again was the fisk tower and like i was swinging around the outside of#and i haven’t even reached that yet but i have found SO much more#like i think i’m further in percent than i was last time despite being further back in the main story#i don’t think my brain was used to games back then#we had a wii and i had a ds but the games i played were categorically easy kids games because i was definitely not Good#and before i got spider-man the ps4 was mainly used for the lego games#but i’ve got four whole months to finish spiderman :)#then i’ve gotta go back and restart detroit become human#that’s another one that i left behind#i’ve managed to avoid spoilers all these years somehow#also star wars battlefront is the other one i want to finally play#the second one with the solo mission#i used to play it with my dad all the time and we’d play against each other until one of us got motion sick lmao#anyway#i’m excited to have gotten back into the ps4#mads makes a post

I'm taking a few days off for my birthday, I have some appointments, but otherwise I wasn't sure what I was going to do, until today when I decided to strip my laptops for fun parts
#personal#one ill probably leave alone as a back up since ive had him for years#the other i dug out of a trashcan and its screen is going out#but the reat should be fine#i have a kit for this i bought a while back#when i intended on taking apart my ds light and replacing the screen#i still want to do that#but itll be nice to have an extra hard drive from this gaming laptop to use#im new to all this despite wanting to do it for years#i took apart some controllers once and repaired them when i was small and ever since ive had#a Desire to keep doing that#i stuck to writing instead#i cant wait to get on meds omg

I am not one to be negative about Pokemon but Scarlet/Violet is the second worst main game on Switch (BDSP is the worst mostly for being a disappointment)
Legends has better shiny hunting
Sword/Shield had better raids
I didn't play Let's Go as much as the others but it is polished and an enjoyable experience
All three run better than SV and have fewer glitches
#fortunately my 3ds should get finished with repairs this month so i can do some sos chaining instead#i have bank and transporter on it if they didnt fuck it up#it sucks i find sv hunting so frustrating because there are a bunch of pokemon where that's the only way on switch to hunt them#like i would love to get a shiny scatterbug but to hunt it on 3ds i would need to do a new playthrough because my files are weird#(i bought a powersaves and tried to do multiple files and switching computers made it a mess so i just need to play again)#and then i need to get some help somewhere to complete the ENTIRE nat dex to get the shiny charm#because i balk at the idea of not using shiny charm#and even then i have to do random encounters because i dont want to do masuda method#i'll have to do the same with oras but at least dexnav provides an alternative#it will be nice to replay those games properly#fun fact i have done rng manipulation hunting in bw2#got a shiny latias 2/3 of the lake trio (got a full odds uxie in bdsp so ive got the whole gang) and an absol for a friend#bdsp despite my low playtime i got 3 shinies#the aformentioned uxie a quagsire in the marsh and a random tentacruel. no idea how or why#i intended to finish the dex in bdsp for the shiny charm even though it helped like two things but i didnt vibe with the game enough#ds rng manip is cool if you have not a 3ds and a computer look into it. did gen 5 for specific mons and got cute charm glitch on hgss#there is also rng manip for 3ds titles but i didnt find out until the charging stopped working right so i havent been able to try it#(i removed the battery to charge it so the date reset regularly)#also id you have a 3ds. hack it. do it. 3ds.hacks.guide it's very well-written and lets you do cool shit#including piracy

Finding my sister's 17 y/o DS Lite: finally some good fuckin food
#the past couple of months have been a SAGA#my ten+ y/o 3ds gave up the ghost#probably from the sheer amount of times its been thrown into pack backs because I used to bring it everywhere#my switch got console drift but because its a lite i can't get new joy cons#i might eventually get it repaired but honestly i don't like supporting Nintendo anymore#despite Nintendo being my childhood i now think they're low-key scummy#my partner's Xbox controller also gave up after 5+ years#he can play games with a mouse i cannot#so I just straight up haven't been able to play games since like January and its been saaaaad#i spent a good five hours just playing#style boutique#Nintendo#Nintendo DS

woke up when the sun was still up. apologies to the downstairs neighbour who likely heard me sprint across the house in a somewhat bouncy weightless manner on the tips of my feet as i tried to flit back and forth between my room and the kitchen to acquire food and medicine whilst mother is in the shower and i do not have to talk to her.
#i am going to play Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs on my 3DS. for emotional value.#despite playing the other two games to the absolute death when i was younger i never finished this one.#i got stuck on the Ankylosaur level.#''stuck'' is a generous interpretation.#my Deinonychus got thagomized so hard that i had to stop playing or i was going to break my DS in rage.#like i distinctly remember it.#i don't know if the tail ornament of an Ankylosaurus is called a thagomizer too but you know what i mean.#anyway i restarted my save file and now i have been testing out different dinosaur types to see what is most combat effective.#the difficulty spike starts very early and if you can't keep up then you need a new strategy.#i decided to try out dinosaurs my younger self didn't find interesting.#my best dinosaur so far is just a classic Tyrannosaurus Rex.#i called her God Eater.

#Despite the title and background of my blog I have not really posted or talked about anything related to Dark Souls 2#I do love the game even if it is incomplete and messy but still somewhat decent#I will talk about what I love about it#I love how the sorceries function#I dig the fashion souls as always#I like how all the environments are diverse and unique compared to the other 2 DS games#I like how this is a more personal journey and not about doing what you are told is your 'destiny'#You want to put an end to the curse for good without all life ceasing to be and I like that take#Majula is my permanent home#I like the DLCs and its bosses#Ivory King x Alsanna 4Ever💗#The 'walking away' ending was a somber yet hopeful yet uncertain conclusion to the story that is really satisfying for me#i think lothric would like it here and also lorian#That is all the praise I can give to this game#It is a decent yet really flawed game that I would recommend people to try out#dark souls 2

my fanart phase is still very much ongoing, but i still think about ocs and am figuring things out with my worldbuilding! i just have no idea how to explain it.
Safe for one thing! I changed Quibris (pictured below) pronouns from they/them to xe/xir. I think it fits xem better. Everything else about xem is still legit, especially xir queerplatonic relationship with Cedra. Them holding hands, and said hands being visible in the sky of Futh is considered an omen of great joy to come anyone who witnesses the event 💖
#thats a post i made!#my world is called Futh and it's a fantasy world with 1950s level technology.#i also figured out Futh's 'present'- or rather how i want to portray things#there's basically the Pre-moon breaking era- where things are 'normal' and Quibris and Cedra are together#then there's the role trade- with Cedra creating life despite knowing nothing about biology/anatomy/anything-#and Quibris making biometal lifeforms to get rid of things and (mortal) people that create more harm than good#the trade goes very badly and sends the entire planet's population in utter despair. if i ever make stories it'll be in that period of time#and then there's the post moon-breaking era- that started when Cedra realized his lifeforms were bad and chose to take them all to#Futh's mantle- and seal them within alobg with himself to avoid further harm. Essentially divorce era#Both Quibris and Cedra are extremely sad and aren't fond of all the lifeforms they made during their trade. Quibris seals xirself as well in#a tower in Futh. This leads to the planet not being watched over and one of the three moons being destroyed by an asteroid#this the shortest description of my setting i can do these days so here's your context for mostly everything#oh there's Fruitbugs too. It's a DS-tier game with sentient characters in it. All characters have a bug true form and a human looking one to#appear alien but attractive to Futh ppl (which are mostly invertebrates+merpeople and very few mammals). no actual humans they dont exist in#my universe. the fruitbugs are the closest thing that look humanoid and even then they're not good at it.#and they're fictional in-universe so humans are fake. But somethibg true. All fruitbugs are my boyfriends.#but they can be yours too!! just be non-sexi/suggestive abt it

No one has been more convincing about encouraging me to play fallout new Vegas than the queer people in my phone. Literally every straight man I know in real life could not be half as convincing as the autistic queer people on this website
#emma posts#i don’t know what this says about me#but I’m going to be honest with you. it’s now making me think about playing some other games too#you guys are better at selling me on a game than every straight guy I know in real life#and honestly most company advertisements#i would be buying more of these games you speak of if i had more money#and also knew how to make and use a gaming laptop#I can’t even figure out new digital art programs. the last program I used on a computer was in 2011#i feel like an old woman and I’m only 26#at least when I’m trying to figure out new computer stuff#I also have to look at the keys when typing#despite how hard my computer class teachers tried to change that#my brothers will be using their gaming pcs and my brain will get overwhelmed#also those bitches are expensive af#just me and my ps4 doing our best#I guess i also have a ds from my childhood but it’s not like I could play new games on it#it still works though. I was super careful with it#aside from getting my improvised stylus stuck in the storage spot#i found my original stylus eventually#you know what. I think I have an art tool that might be able to remove that now. just had a rollercoaster of a fucking morning
#on the drive to my physio appt the road there was blocked by a fucking crime scene#so I got detoured so badly I had to call my dad and get him to call the place to let them know I would be 15 minutes late#despite leaving early enough to arrive 10 minutes before my appt. They still let me in thank god#And then I went to the game store after and they had a 3ds in the pearl pink and it’s the first time I’ve seen that colour for sale in town#(It’s my dream colour and while I didn’t buy it but I told my parents bc that’s what I asked for for Christmas and they seemed into it)#And then since I couldn’t go home the normal way I had to take a detour#and ended up passing by a secret other game store I’ve never been in before#and they just so happened to have the Kirby game I’ve been looking for for my friend for months#which was the reason I went to the other game store in the first place (they didn’t have a single Kirby ds game#and I was annoyed bc I felt like I had gone there for nothing)#and then I realized that the game was the South Asia version#but apparently those play on North America consoles and is just the US cartridge for some reason#so we’re winning
