and at the end of the day, people will still hate women.
because beyonce is a terrible songwriter who has a good body and nothing more and she's really nothing compared to olivia rodrigo, that stuck-up bitch who steals other people's music, but taylor swift is an old, bitter nothing who clearly hates other girls. and sabrina carpenter deserves to die because she followed her heart, not her brain, and that's exactly why zendaya will never be good enough for tom holland. don't forget about kylie jenner, who's stealing precious timothee's innocence away and dating her is like committing arthouse cinema suicide, or how we said the same thing about miley cyrus and her disgusting profanity, think of the children, poor liam hemsworth, trapped in a marriage with such a horrible woman. lana del rey was hot until she was big and she made trailerpark sexy until her ass got a little too fat. and ariana grande, talentless homewrecker, and selena gomez, jealous and unreasonable, and hailey bieber, even more boring than the blood drying on the knives you are so quick to pull. sophie turner is a bad mom and megan thee stallion deserved whatever was coming to her.
and amidst all of this, we still don't know these women. we cannot fathom the pain of having a public divorce, one where people choose sides and hurl insults at you until the battery on their phone dies. we don't watch them chase after sweet-cheeked children in tucked-away backyards or play board games with their best friends while their chests heave in laughter. we don't know their marriages and we don't know their solitudes. we don't watch them unravel themselves, time and time again, preparing for the battle that we have made of their lives. they can never make a mistake. they can never cry. they can never be who they believe themselves to be.
and we take all of this and we go to work, we ride the bus, we go grocery shopping, we walk in dappled sunlight, and we let ourselves shrivel. i compare myself to every body i see and i comfort in the fact that i can still encircle my wrists with my fingers. food turns to dust in my mouth when i think about the fact that taylor swift thinks she's fat and people still hate sabrina carpenter for sticking by joshua bassett's side when he almost died, for God's sake, and now the people on my twitter feed are saying GUTS is the worst album they've ever heard. i liked it, the tiny voice in my head cries out. she wrote songs that made me feel noticed. they're calling the song i relate to the most a total skip.
so i close the app. i try not to think about the endless profiles screaming about how much they hate a nineteen/thirty-two/thirty-eight/twenty-three/twenty-six/forty-two year old. i try not to think about how much they would hate me, if they knew anything at all.

I really like how Thanks to Them makes Belos physically and literally represent his core character traits of manipulating people and discarding them the second they fulfill their purpose and are no longer useful to him by making his main powerset in the episode possessing things and then discarding them, usually completely stripped of life.

sometimes a family is a child who keeps pieces of every shameful memory in order to keep himself from feeling happy, the aforementioned child’s best friend who is also a dog, and the very large man with a bunch of mildly uncomfortable fun facts ordered to murder the aforementioned child
(and also a detective who’s bad at his job and is trying to keep this child alive, a semi-kleptomaniac not-so-fatal femme fatale, the local bartender who fucking hates this child, and a reporter trying to find the biggest scoop she can even though she keeps getting overshadowed by unimportant stories. but i’m not so sure they’ve reached familial status yet.)

I keep seeing people suggest Crowley's presentation in 1827 was feminine, and listen—headcanon what you want, I'm not your mom. But the justification is that he's supposedly dressed in feminine, as opposed to masculine, clothing? He isn't. You're just looking at Regency fashion with 21st-century eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Aziraphale and Crowley are exemplaries of well-dressed gentlemen of the early 19th century, just in different styles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the left, a many-caped greatcoat like the one Aziraphale is wearing; on the right, a coat with puffed sleeves and a narrow waist like the one Crowley is wearing. (Both images seem to originate from Journal des Dames et des Modes, 1811 and 1826, respectively.)
I also saw something about Crowley's fob watch actually being a chatelaine?
Tumblr media
Again, I have to disagree. What Crowley's wearing just looks like a watch chain, which both men and women wore. What you can see is the chain and a charm at the end; the watch itself is tucked into a pocket (same as with Aziraphale's).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Watch chain (left; another plate from Journal des Dames et des Modes) vs. chatelaine (right, from here).
While a chatelaine could possibly refer to a decorative watch chain, the chatelaines specifically associated with women are the accessories worn by female heads of household or housekeepers (hence the name) to hold keys and other useful items. They could get quite elaborate. Crowley's doesn't look particularly like a chatelaine more than it looks like a watch chain, to me.
To sum up, there's not really anything I can see about Crowley's fashion choices in 1827 that specifically says "female presenting"; it all fits in with men's fashion of the time. You can headcanon whatever you want! But this particular era isn't one in which Crowley's wardrobe and styling definitively reads as feminine.
Note for a couple people with poor reading comprehension: TERFs are not welcome on this post. Fuck off.

okay i really hate to do this so soon after my last escapade into My Blog Being On Fire but. we need to talk about fan skin artists.
fan skin artists (and fan modelers!) are integral to a lot of the glitz and glam of a minecraft series, in particular, empires smp and the minecraft championship event, though hermitcraft is also bleeding into this lately. skin making to the level you see in videos and streams is really hard! i’m a skinmaker myself, actually, and my current default mc skin took me about six hours total to make, not including recent tweaks to the design, and on average my skins take me three hours each when they’re edited and five and a half hours each when they’re original. i’m also learning blockbench modeling, and though i’m very much a beginner, it doesn’t take much more than a beginner to tell you what kinds of techniques they use to get the models on empires and hermitcraft.
“well, luna, if you’re a skinmaker, why don’t you make fan skins? you clearly really like these series! it would probably be fun for you, right?” i hear you say, for the sake of my post flow.
you’re right, random citizen! i would love to make fan skins and fan models! it would be very fun for me!
however. there is a horrifically bad problem with ccs not asking permission to use people’s skins or flat out not giving credit for their skins at all. this is straight-up art theft, and it’s not okay. some of these artists already have online followings, and that’s the only reason i know who has made certain skins. ccs are notoriously terrible with affording skin artists and modelers the same respect they do with traditional fanartists (even if they pay modelers, it is my belief they should still be credited).
now, some ccs make their own skins! that’s great! but i genuinely cannot tell who has made their own skin and who has used a skin from someone else because nobody ever draws a distinction. i know a few ccs are typically really good with crediting artists in their videos—pearl, in particular, has a skin artist whom she credits often—but in events like mcc contestants often forget to credit their artists, and i’m left a bit skeptical if they asked to use the skins in the first place.
so. yeah. skin artists and modelers need to be given the same credit rights as fanartists. minecraft skins are just as much fanart as a painting someone put a lot of effort into. please, please, please always credit your artists.

Good evening I am once again thinking about Bruce being "Mr. Raised by the Butler". I have many thoughts.
So when Bruce was a little kid he was deeply anxious, especially about big parties. They happend all the time, but he still wasn't used to them. He hated mingling, but there was a routine to these things. For the first hour he'd be by his mother and father's side, welcoming guests, doing the rounds. But once everyone was greeted there was no need for him to stand by for the small talk. Instead, to avoid the crowds and the noise and the chatter, the parents would trade off - he'd go to Alfred.
He would follow Alfred like a puppy, no matter where they were. Naturally Bruce became well accustomed to the butler's routine, and enjoyed it much more than the socialites. He also became very familiar with the other butlers and housekeepers - in sticking by Alfred's side he would often find himself in the backrooms and kitchens the assistants snuck out to between rounds. They all knew him very well, he came in watched set: Alfred's boy, Brucie. It was welcome to see a little one that wasn't demanding anything or causing trouble, he became a favorite among the staff of Gotham.
Then the Waynes died. Suddenly he really was Alfred's boy, exclusively. The lines between butler and parent blurred into nothing.
The Gotham elite showed their condolences, of course. They mourned their favorite brunch guests. They named buildings in their honor, donated large sums to their funds. They whispered about how sorry they felt for the little boy to be raised by the butler. The Wayne's deaths didn't end their topic of gossip - was it really appropriate to leave that boy to their secret lover?
But the other staff - they knew. They knew everything. They knew all about the real Waynes. They knew Alfred wasn't the unlucky help, he was a widower with a son. And they actually showed up. The ones who really cared showed up at the backdoor - with pre prepared food, with help to offer, with alcohol and empathy. When Alfred became a surrogate father the others became surrogate aunts and uncles, there to watch over Alfred's boy while he got much needed sleep.
They never grew out of those roles. Many expected Bruce to grow out of his butler - once he was old enough to handle the money he'd start acting like it was his, but it didn't happen. When the rounds were done he still returned to Alfred's side. He could still be found in the backrooms. He was as still Alfred's boy.
