I was at a weird mix of Renaissance faire and cosplay festival last weekend. Probably not being able of capturing it with a more fitting title, the organizers just called it "The Big Gathering". Knights, Witches, Vikings and Pirates danced among Fallout characters and Glitter-Stormtroopers (YES!!! ADORABLE GLITTER!!!) to Irish Punk Folk music...
IT WAS GLORIOUS!!!
Favorite thing about renaissance faires is that they have fuck all to to with the renaissance. This thang is not about historical anything this is about dressing up like a fairy and watching a joust
