Just remembered a semi-lucid Mechs dream I had where I got pulled from the audience during a concert to become an honorary crewmember. I got to join them on stage and had to choose between playing the clarinet or singing (I'm bad at both). Don't remember which one I chose, or if I alternated between them, but I think things worked out pretty well. At the end Jonny said "Welcome to the crew" and pat me on the shoulder

Lair Review for Diamondsnake

uh I can’t seem to actually tag you, but don’t worry I’ve probably sent you a link to this post. Anyway, look out below!

Arwel

Arwel is such a clean looking dragon. I love the browns and how you transitioned the saturation of them from the goggles and rogue mask into the more muted colors of the arctic apparel. Also the addition of the winter wind and blues of the arctic apparel fit is so nicely color-wise, but also thematically too. I also enjoy that you’ve matched him up with the tribeam hunter. The pair must work nicely together since Arwel seems to be one of your coliseum dragons, but I also like how you tried to match the familiar with the cream and pearl colors of the dragon.

Ignatius

while Ignatius is mostly covered by a skincent, I want to express how what you’ve done for this dragon just makes sense. The vulture theme of the skincent and the overcast scales work together to really complete this vulture theme. And of course the choice to pair him with the Phoenix familiar is just the icing on the cake here. This minimalist approach to dressing up a dragon still speaks volumes, in my opinion. You really married the skin and the dragon well.

Mara

Mara seems to be a fan favorite with now 9 stars including the one I gave her, but I can clearly see why. The tailtatters and the flightshroud go so well with the pthalo blue. And the broadsword and daredevil cover match nicely with the dark lavender accent color of pthalo. I’m particularly fond of how well that broadsword matches, it’s quite frankly blowing my mind. Speaking of eerily matching oh my gosh that inscribed pangolin just blows this pairing out of the water. I want this dragon’s page just framed on my wall so I can look at it every day, THAT is how satisfying this dragon is to look at.

Aurea

Aurea is so uniquely beautiful-- almost angelic. The flowers of the accent, gold silks, and golden seraph items bring out her graceful beauty. You combined the browns and golds so well, and while nothing here matches the spruce secondary, I don’t think anything is obligated too. The spruce is a beautiful splash of color that is not overpowering her whole look--it is very much appreciated right where it is.

Ichigo

Ichigo is an eyecatching dragon. Judging by the lore in the bio, it seems Ichigo uses she/her pronouns, so that’s what I’ll be using in this review. Apologies in advance if I assumed wrong. The scene painted out by the lore itself is so beautifully descriptive and such a great introduction to this dragon. It does a great job in reinforcing her aesthetic. The Demure apparel items and apron create such a cute cafe uniform, and I love that the varying shades of pink match Ichigo so well. Again, your familiar matching skills are on point. Ichigo is such a wonderful and creative addition to your fine lair.

Honorable Mention: Tourma

I wanted to mention Tourma briefly here because the small specks in Wasp, bee, and opal really just bring out the starry theme of the accent she’s wearing. She’s an excellent model for this accent.

Diamondsnake, with your lair I belive you’ve taught me that the devil is in the details and that matching familiars can just give that extra boost to a dragon’s theme. Thank you for letting me review a few of your lovely dragons!
